@@DaisyFreshUSAI prefer that he tries and is ready to surprise us, than never trying something and living regretting it, in Brazil we have a phrase let your admirers speak for yourself, guys like gordo and meregali will never know that,I'm waiting for something wild
Ever since Pix showed up on the early daisy fresh videos, I believed he would be at the top at some point. All of the hard work, dedication, pain and discipline are paying off man. Keep climbing!
Congratulations. It was a moment I will never forget. Something amazing happens when raw emotion is unleashed for all to experience. Those moments bind the audience to the moment. It was a time in our infinitely small moment that will have its own existence after we leave.
Pixley is my favorite grappler right now. His tuts on stand up are simple and have been helpful to me... and his attitude is super admirable. Crazy how you could look up more to a purple belt than Gordon Ryan for no other reason than attitude. cheers!
Were you expecting Meregali to stand up and handfight as much as he did, especially in the beginning? It seemed like his strategy indicated he wasn't really aware of Pixley's background.
he definitely wasn't thinking about any individual.. he just thought he was next in line after Gordo and it was his time. Pixley caught him slippin' - pun intended.
that was a nice match. I liked the finish, one of the tightest and cleanest reverse anaconda ("darce") ive seen performed at a high level. II noticed that he used a "kimura grip" to lock the strangle (which is the better way to do it for multiple reasons....), instead ofgrabbing the upper arm (biceps or triceps). Do you guys drill it that way? I made this move up almost 30 years ago (where im from people still call it Björn technique instead of darce) and i am happy and proud to see, that its used today on the highest level in combat sports (submission grappling and MMA). Plus i loved that you used it to tap a danaher guy, because danaher lied in an interview when he said he made that move up and even came with some japanese fantasy name for it. I know for a fact that the first time people saw that move in new york in 1999 was, when a former training buddy of mine (Christian Bienert) tapped people at renzos when he visited the us. Much respect and greetings from germany ruclips.net/video/lE4jPsqUaYk/видео.html
Pixley watch out for the second match - don't take a big big name just yet. If you against somebody like Craig or Gordon or Kaynan or Nicky Rod, they will likely win at this point, and will never give you a rematch. IMHO go a notch lower, like Big Dan or Luke Griffiths
Between CJI and ADCC Pixley was the only high level wrestler to actually engage via jiujitsu with the best jiujitsu players. Most of the other wrestlers got the takedown and then backed off once it hit the mat. Not Pixley, straight into the fire awesome to watch.
I think you should call out Nicky Rod and handle Gordon's light work. Nicky is hard to beat but he's so 1 dimensional in his game, I think you guys could come up with a game plan to beat him.
Not to be armchair put Pix gotta get good at close guard and leg locks or just be comfortable in those positions and I can see him being impossible to beat
in the video i posted in the comment below, it shows the first two ever recorded darce / reverse anaconda on video in 2001 at a adcc tournament in frechen, germany. In the first fight i finish a dejong student, and at the same day my trainingspartner Andreas Schmidt (today 7 degree black belt Luta Livre ) udes the same move to submit Dejong, the grappling trainer of Alister Overeem.....
should have asked him why his strat is to do absolutely nothing and stall for 90% of the match to then attempt one throw by or trip... dude is 100% most boring and disengaging guy at adcc.... would have been booed out of the arena at CJI. boring scrub

dude acts like he beat him with skill and not an injury
I hope Craig invites him to the next cji
That would be sick! How do you think he'd do in cji ruleset?

Pixley’s a very exciting grappler. Hope to see him in more high profile events.

Got Pixley's instructional to learn his slide by, but I'd kill for his judo.
Coming soon!
Special team. Special coach. Big Pix fan.
Thank you for the support!
I would love to see Pixley vs Nicky Rod
Craig Jones is 100% right about top BJJ competitors. Dude cannot make eye contact at all.
The beast master !

Ayooo
Man of many words.

Please take on Nicky Rod! He is always bragging about how great his wrestling is! Kick his ass!
That would be a sick match!
Good job Men!

Congrats Pix and Heath… I’m def getting that UFC fight pass to watch my dude compete!!
Truly entertaining 💪🏽

Awesome performance time for that brown belt promotion 😮💨
He killed it for sure!
I was at both events. The moment Pixley subbed Meregali was by far the loudest any of the venues got, it was wild.
Pix is the man
Thank you for smashing Meragali

Watched the Meregali vid about 30 times LOL, so awesome..
watching the better dude get a fluke injury is cool, your a bozo
Not talking about him getting hurt you dork. Talking about Pixley’s win. You stay on that D though…
So the "better" dude lost?? 🤡🤡🤡🤡

He’s getting better everyday!
I still don’t understand the lovato match, the fact that they didn’t even shoot, lovato must be really good at preventing take downs
Lovato is so tough!
Don’t think I’ve ever seen pixley shoot lol he’s all slide by and upper body takedowns
@@Bjjbgk smart considering guillotine.

It sounds like your throat is injured from Meregalis dick… he got caught and pussed out.. had that built in excuse in his back pocket ..
