People didn’t believe me when I made a video doing essentially the same thing😂you even said what I said “I’d rather have brakes too strong vs too weak” And “with the kestrel I think it’s a good thing” I’m just glad somebody else is realizing what I mean with the kestrel and they’re gonna see your video and actually believe it. It’s great performance for ultralight weights specifically in my opinion. Another thing: I think some of the kestrels have slightly less grease or something on them, I got my reel a couple weeks after release and my reel was performing really great, compared to others like Rawr and what not. Was interesting to consider maybe they did something didferent
What would you recommend for someone on a new budget (twin babies incoming) for a first BFS rod and reel? Mainly targeting panfish at longer casting distances. God Bless and keep up the bible encouragement at the beginnings of your videos!
my friend was casting the bfs today for his second time ever. It's a huge pain in the ass. Spinner is much much easier and no fuss just straight fishing, and you can cast further. -Cheers.
I have the Kastking Bassinator Elite zero issues after 2 years of tournaments. I have a Kastking Speed Demon Elite 10.5/ 1 that I have had engagement issues with, cleaning corrected this. The main issue is it doesn't palm as nicely as the Bassinator Elite. The Bassinator Elite is my frog setup & the Speed Demon Elite is my Carolina Rig setup. For Power BFS I have a Kastking Zephyr BFS Clicker, and have a Kastking Kestrel Elite BFS on the way. No opinion yet on BFS reels. Kastking reels are overall nice reels for the price point. Compared to my other Daiwas, which are the original SS/SV, JDM Steez & Zillions. Several have had various issues which required repairs. Things break, including expensive reels...🍺🎣
I wonder if they’ve reached the spool size (and rpm) to spool weight maximum. You mentioned it in the first Kestrel video. When the spool spins so fast at start up the brakes are just too strong initially causing the bait to pull, reducing casting accuracy?
I put the Roros on the Kestrel. Freespool wasn't different from clean stock bearings - those brakes are just too strong to show any sort of free spool. I haven't casted it yet, but I'm sure it will help a little bit, regardless.
Have u ever tried a doomsday tackle rod? I can’t find much on them but some people say they are made of very good components but I don’t know much about rod materials lol
actually kestrel elite is good, but with 2 defect, 1. overbreaking, 2. the line can easly get out from the spool when backlash, I ve show the defect in my channel, and inform this to kastking china, the technician has already contact me from email, so aldebaran bfs 22 still the number one to buy

Are you mainly using jigs and flies? And around what weight?
Darkwolf ultra was on sale at almost 60 bucks , paired up with a 7ft ul ugly stick and you got a proper budget setup
Nice review, so far not bad for a non-JDM BFS reel... 🍺 🎣
Sheeeesh. Think I’ll stick with a spinning reel for trout bro 😂🤙🏽

yeah I too am in the cast of casting these on spin
I have tried three KastKing reels. Each one had to go back due to manufacturing issues. I give up...I gave them a try but never again!
Same, I Hate their bait casters, their spinning reel are good

Metanium Shallow Edition 22 review coming in the future? It would be nice to compare it to the Aldebaran and Kestrel.
how much line do you think you're using when you do these tests?

Need this one rod and bait casting reel how much
Me parece que não deixa nada a desejar com relação a Aldebaran! Excelente carretilha!

@@romeobotviewers , pelo preço ela entrega um desempenho satisfatório! A Aldebaran 2022 custa 2x mais que ela.
Have you seen that the black Knight too no longer has dynamic breaking
You need to reset your reel I have this reel and it works great.
nice
That TM mono is very poor line , not easy to cast . Using light brad or microfiber of some sort , would be much better , in my opinion
Varivas makes some premium BFS line for easy casting. The Sight Edition Mono in 4lb is nice so far on both baitcasters and spinning reels... 🍺🎣
