It was only Naobito’s will that Megumi become the head of the clan. Toji did not know that he would die during the battle with Gojo, therefore he was not going to hand over the child to Gojo. So Toji physically could not agree a few seconds before his death that if something happened to Gojo, Megumi would return to the clan.

Yes he chose Megumi as the strongest. I think we haven't see Megumi full potential yet so we tent to see him as "weak" or "not that strong" . Plus his CT : "use pets" can be not really mind-blowing for people cause they prefer powerful CT like Yuta or gojo or Sukuna. That's why some people may put Megumi in the "weak" side.
Well no, the reason is megumi had powerful innate technique that exceeds Naobito and Nanami, he also has the clans shadow Technique, also a Domain but not also that, Im sure if Nanami and Naobito was not injured or out of CUrsed energy since they fought Dagon, Toji would've target one of them first and Megumi would've become Barbecue from Jogo🤣🤣

basically at the start of the video the big guy (toji fushiguro) was attacking his son (megumi fushiguro) cuz he was possesed so he didnt know what he was doing. when he saw his son he broke out of that trance but he knew that it would take over again soon. so he asked for his sons name to see if he got bought by the zenin clan (the clan he hates and the clan that caused him a lot of pain). when he said that his name was fushiguro and not zenin he was happy and basically ☠️ himself to protect his son. toji never met his son until that moment so it was really a heartbreaking experience to fight with his lost child
