Wow, I randomly picked this video to watch and realized I knew her mother. The two of us worked together right up until she got sick. Last we spoke she called me to tell me she was retiring and not coming back. Knowing what a great person she was doesn’t surprise me at all as to what a beautiful person her daughter Jessie is. Wishing you and your family the best Jessie! Devon keep up the great work, you are amazing man!

This painter is incredibly skilled and comes across as a genuinely kind-hearted individual. The girl he is painting and interviewing has an extraordinary story, and she is really sweet. It's fantastic how he uses his platform to showcase his talent while also sharing the stories behind the masterpieces he creates.

Try and walk a mile in somebody else's shoes is an old but valid saying.
Being able to sit and talk is probably the best tool in your paint box. By the same token, sitting for a portrait and answering questions makes it easier to forget yourself and really open up in a way you probably wouldn’t even with a therapist. Her portrait turned out amazing.
Stop idolising this fool. He started a hate campaign against an ART CRITIC who gave him an incredibly positive review. Devon didn't like it. The art critic - who was just doing the literal job is is employed to do - has received innumerable death threats as a result.

@@roglzroglz5084 Instead of fanboying, just search "Devon Art critic". The videos covering it are really not difficult to find. RUclips prohibits links from being shared due to spam. Better yet, search for the news stories covering it.

well you should see how he had an absolute meltdown and sicced his followers on an art critic who came to his art show (his criticism was largely positive and the critique was very mild)

Hahaha yes you’re bang on. It’s that signature traced look that’s so obvious when you’ve seen traced lines before, even if it was 10 years ago last time you saw it. 🤣🤦♂️

Question for Devon or another portrait artist. The position of all your portraits have a lot of white space above the head of your subject. And the you sign in the upper right hand corner. Most artists sign in the lower right hand corner. Are you centering the head of the subject so the eyes are in the middle of the paper? Or is there some other magic balance issue at play. Love to hear an answer from other artists or even from Devon. Thank you, love your work.

I appreciate your art works and the joy you bring to some people, but also disgusted at how you weaponize your fame to go against any type of criticism that comes your way feeling like you're high and mighty with a huge following.
Talking to someone who will not judge is an interesting take on therapy. Who can we talk to who have zero judgement? Professional care helpers can do this.
