The rotate north is huge!! I have to fuss with this on most of our projects! It would be nice if they could simplify the areas of the geometry that can be less details. I guess that could be done with other plugins.
The "Mesh density" slider seems to be what you were looking for. So does that mean that the map information won't be collected from Google Maps anymore?
amazing but i think they can do better like adding adding tags that automatically gets populated after the import where we will have the buidings the road .... separated .....
I think that is probably dictated by the data type they accessing. In this case it seems to be a full on premade mesh generated from aerial or satellite data, so I doubt this exists where the roads and buildings are different layers.
Justin, I like the timeliness of your videos. But in the interest of trying to be helpful, I would suggest two specific things for you to consider: 1) In many of your vids, you often say things like, “I don’t really know…(etc etc); Consider doing a little more research before you post a video. The reason WE watch is to get answers, not to have our questions unanswered; 2) Consider changing your (frightening) intro (“BooWhat’sUpGuys”) to something more professional and less “jarring” to the listener. I know others have commented on this too. I’ve thought about purchasing one of your courses, but haven’t done so because these two issues simply discourage me from doing so! You CAN do better, imo. FWIW. Thanks for your continued efforts with Sketchup!
There's a Mesh Density slider right below where you select 2D Plane or 3D Mesh. Don't know how effective it is (haven't tried this new extension yet)
Holy cow - how did I miss that - it's literally RIGHT there!
My add location is not working in 2021 .... Any other option or plugin to create contours of location
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about SketchUp Labs' add location extension in the comments below! :)

Rotating north is great for architecture projects!
Thumbs up sketchup team.
I can't rotate north, i don't see those arrows, please help
Same here. no option to offset the north arrow. I've tried modifier keys also, but nothing.
same here
@@howtoresidential I read something like that option was removed because it caused many other problems, but it's a shame to be honest
This is only for SU pro 2024 right?

SketchUp hasn't used Google Maps data for several years - it's now Bing for highest detail or Digital Globe
@@danpidcock7649 Whoops, I had no idea! Thank you!
