The issue with hunters dps is that they have Lion buff and the option of being ranged when it want for any encounter that is not melee friendly. Ideal Balance wize clearly rogues need to be top because if they will simply never be taken to any raids if they are not, rogues bring nothing to any raid except for dps, hunters will always be taken to raids even with very low dps because of the buffs the provide. Shadow priest should be the lowest of all dps classes along with arcane mage because they provide far more than just dps in the form of buffs and healing. Also shadow priest has a massive damage reduction buff in shadow form, that level of survival should cost the class dps. Balance in normal classic was a hell of a lot better, even with warrior bugs and favourable itemization resulting in warriors doing to much damage. Enhancement shaman should be very low dps, it brings windfury and totems, it buffs others dps more than any other class, much like feral druid, if the best support classes in the game did ok dps no one would ever take anything except for them.
Auto combat modes for people too busy to play their games.... its all about the Gotcha, the Pay To Win and the Status you buy. C'mon man find a better sponsor than this joke of a game.
Fix Bear druids please! They have 2 wasted rune slots. (Move Lacerate to Legs, and Move Survival of the fittest to waist would be an easy way to fix this.)
Not only that but swipe doesnt scale with AP, im full pre bis, and 3 pieces of gnomer gear and epic mace and aoe swiping like 40 dmg lol how can i keep threat with that lol
I asked this phase 1. I have played every class in Classic other then druid because they were underwhleming. I wanted to play Bear tank for SOD hoping they would show some love giving them something special as they were never played in classic. Yet they still get nothing special and the rune slots are all messed up.
you're doing god's work by making actually positive videos about WoW. it's been a long journey and blizzard was rightfully trashed on before. but now comparing WoW to other modern games shows blizzard is making much more ot an effort than other devs
I feel this classic sod team in general with the way they react to the community hear us out make changes based on functionally and fun sod is the best version of wow hands down
yeah thank you, blizzard was terrible for a goodwhile and now they are actually trying instead of letting their audience rot and be pissed at them and low and behold we have 5million characters created for vanilla WoW, there is hope for this game and its important in how bleak blizz has been as of late that we get people like @@TheComebackKids

Me and friend joined a pug gnomer and we weren't optimized and we still cleared it. We had to do progression and we had wipes but honestly it felt just right. I don't think they should change it. It'll get easier as we get more gear.
Also tried it with my brother we cleared 5/6 till our tank had to go to bed couldn't find another and this was like 4 hours before the reset lol but like you said we died prob 2 or 3 times on each boss but once we learned it was a breeze
Fr, ret is so poopy. Felt better P1 and is on a lovely decline as you level. Gear won’t help, needs some fixes to skills/runes. There are a lot of great synergies with runes but they are on the SAME damn slot so you can’t even get the synergy. Here’s to hoping for some type of buff for ret… 20% increased attack speed or something?? Please daddy Agg, you’re our only hope!
@@bakks8082 yeah with how shaman are globalling people one after the other if they are lucky and having mega tanky runes and as a plate wearing paladin getting oneshotted by most classes and doing dogcrap dps feels bad
Our Dad guild was able to clear it last night and the last boss was the only one we really needed to make a good plan for. I like it that it is a little more difficult then BFD bosses.
I completely agree. The last boss is comp specific though. You need ranged that can handle the bombs. need at least 2 kicks, and innervates it feels like. My guild put up two raids monday, and my raid with a warlockt hat went meta for last boss, was able to down the whole raid in one night, with the last boss being the majority of our wipes. But each wipe we saw huge progression on. The 2nd raid with less ranged, we had 3, couldn't down the last boss because bombs became over whelming. which just spiraled the whole situation. I don't think the boss needs nerfing right now, but some tuning probably. to me Nerfing is when you flat out looking to make an encounter easier. Tuning is when you are adjusting, but not seeking to flat out make easier. there is a fine line to walk there between the two.
@@Dacdac839 difficulty aside, the bosses do legitimately have more armour than Molten core bosses have this is double crazy because armour is more powerful at lower levels so the mobs have even higher mitigation than level 60 bosses would have with the same armour
Dad guild I play with cleared it last night. First week we failed to kill the last boss. Our issue was lack of people at 40 and only one main healer. Second week we added a second priest and it wasn’t overly hard.
It's good to see casters eating well now considering how phase one went. Sad to see Shaman's overall performance still not being excellent, but we'll see if things stay that way. At least Ele is looking good.
Resto shaman is good these numbers are misleading. Infinite mana with DW rock biter. Overloaded chain heals for 1.8k. massive tank healing with overloaded healing waves. An absolute unit right now.
@@tharonchapman400 all that and they're still the lowest on the list. Everyone else appears to have walked into this phase with even more. It sounds like it's lots of fun and that's honestly way more important than balance, so I'm glad Resto is all coming together. They seemed pretty unexciting in phase one.
Actually resto shaman has the best mana currently. If you dual wield 1H SP weapons and use sham rage on CD you should not only give yourself mana but the raid a % of it. Our resto shaman literally just dps’s the entire time since every min he gets 2.5k mana back per sham rage literally never goes oom spamming spells.
I play an enhancement shaman as well. I think one of the changes that they could implement would be how AP scales with strength. We kinda try to balance agility and strength to achieve decent crit with AP. Currently with 1 strength equalling 2 AP but 10 agility = .5% of crit, we are able to maintain flurry, but the base line damage is just not there. Have strength scale to 3 or even 4 AP and the numbers would increase substantially but allow us to maintain a good level of crit. Another option would be to add a rune the would increase crit damage percentage while in a flurry state... Nature's Flurry? Rabies? Could even be a better belt rune option for enhance.

I think the balance starsurge nerf was a bit exaggerated. It's absolutely fine to fix a spell that crits up to 1.8k on a 6sec cd. But now is not a great feeling pressing starsurge anymore and the "compensation" with starfire does not really work or feel great :/ How do you guys think about that?
I don't think the SF buff compensates at all, but I appreciate they at least recognized they would need to boost something alongside the nerf. The way they approached it was only sensible in a PVE context though. At the very least, if they want this new rotation to be relatively viable in PvP they could have at least given us a working Eclipse rune alongside the "hotfix". It's not like they were unaware of Eclipse not granting the 70% pushback resistance since we've been saying it a lot since P2 started.
how doesnt it work out great? it's much more balanced. youll still do the same dmg in pve without one shotting people with an instant cast manales sspell in pvp
You can definitely see the dmg decrease, and balance druids do really not need a nerf in dmg overall (PvE). Maybe it would help, if the next Wrath would also do 66% more dmg, after Starsurge. Or anything else.@@cococock2418

Bosses in Gnomer have far too much armor. It's the opposite problem of BFD which had far too high resistances on release. A level 40 10 man raid should not have armor values that match level 60.
They don’t even match level 60, high armor level 60 bosses have 3700 armor, mekgineer has 4400 armor, this was very intentionally by the devs to nerf all melee classes
@@boarderz8275 that means literally nothing in regards to armor values, gear doesn’t have armor pen in vanilla so high armor bosses will always cause melee to be bottom of the barrel dps
Starsurge nerf was much needed, i felt so cheap critting so much on an instant cast, but starfire doesnt have a crit enhancer like starsurge does (from solar eclipse). Starfire is an expensive cast, takes a long time even with the cast reduction, and does the same dmg as a wrath crit (and wrath crits a lot from eclipse). I think lunar eclipse needs to either stack so that it can turn into an instant cast, or also make it so starfire mana cost is reduced after you use starsurge. Tldr: The compensation they did was buff one cast of an expensive, long ability that rarely crits.
Hey comeback kids! On behalf of all boomkins, can you point out the fact that there’s no AB gear at the same power level as the other classes next video? Thank you
Considering people didn't even want mages for BFD DPS I am glad to see changes forcing more balanced comps. Even with all the armor a Melee class leads the DPS charts for the raid. Let casters do damage too!
Speaking as a druid player, I definitely acknowledge that starsurge was too strong and needed a nerf but these latest changes have resulted in basically a 40-45% damage reduction to the ability. I think it went too far and my wrath casts can crit higher than starsurge.
Not to mention Starfire is just way too weak and mana costly to use much. If you use that "standard" rotation integrating SF you'll be oom in 30-40s. It's just not viable. I get nerfing the insta-gib SS in PvP but it was the only thing that also made us decent in PvE. Now we're just awful at both
My dad guild cleared on Monday night before reset. Last boss was a little curveball to learn, but easy enough. All in all, in and out of Gnomer, full clear in 1 hour and 15 mins. Gnomer is fine.
Do NOT nerf the raid please.... Do not touch it! Or... In fact, I think they should make it harder, at least the first 4 bosses. I pugged 6/6 day one, going in blind.
The one thing about balance I don't like is how fast pvp happens. I got into a few scuffles last night when I took a break stealth stalking you waiting for you to hit 40. A shaman and I literally killed each other at the same time in .9 seconds. I want a pvp fight that last at least 5seconds. Would be much more fulfilling than just 1 second of burst - dead.
Balance was nerfed way too hard, I agree. They need to either restore the sp coefficient or increase base damage. Additionally they nerfed our range across the board, and added a tattletell animation to starsurge which is just awful design. Now if that mirror surge actually damaged enemies within melee range it would be fantastic. Additionally I believe they fiddled with resistance chances when casted from stealth, because mobs are resisting around 50 percent in that situation. It has been a demoralizing leveling experience since the nerf especially with little chance of defending against bursty hunters, and rogues. Starsurge is what kept relations civil :)
Something I think would be really nice if they did was to make another boss that unlocks halfway thru the season. That would really make it nice. Maybe a shoulder enchant or something simple could drop.
Comment for the devs. Can you please work on a fix for layering in a group? There have been several instances where I am in a 5 man group out in the open world and we are on different layers. It makes it hard to get some of the questing done that requires more than 1 or 2 people.
As someone that has played melee hunter from HC as a challenge and into Phase one of sod, the biggest thing that has made it most viable is the melee specialist rune. Reducing a hard hitting spell like raptor strike by a whole 3 second and a 30% chance to completely reset the spell is strong, I would advocate on them reduceing raptor strike by only 2 seconds and keeping an eye on melee hunters as everyone gets gear. Melee hunter weakest point is scaleing, since strength and agility only give 1 attack power in comparison of other classes.
Back in Vanilla, I remember having to go to UBRS for fire resist buff to down Ragnaros for the first time. When I saw that Kelris requires ShadowProt and FAP to be able to down him when you are fresh 25, I was so hyped. With this in mind, I am not yet lvl40 as I am quite casual, but I hope they keep the difficulty as is for the time being, as I would really like to experience that thrill I had when we downed Ragnaros for the first time. And based on the videos I've seen, as well as people from my guild clearing the raid, I don't see the raid to hard. Yes, coordination is needed, and some of the abilities are unforgivable, but they can be avoided, and you can learn to coordinate a freaking raid of 10 people, so I am for no changes!
Nerf the raid. This isn’t retail. Tank and spank and move the f on. It’s not fun to take so much time and need a consistent coordinated group. I think this should be the MOST accessible version of wow. P2 has a lot of travel based time padding too. I am an older gamer and I liked the pacing of P1. The rate of gear, item and rune acquisition was spot on. Even slow casuals like me could get bis and raid log. I liked the equality in P1. With it being easy it doesn’t matter if you parse the highest. It’s just a fun time clickin buttons watching shit fall over.
I enjoy the tuning of gnomer being a bit on the more difficult side. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the wiping and figuring out his mechanics/how to win a fight is what binds raid groups together. Overcoming difficulty as a group.
Personally I've found Crusader Strike to be much more helpful for bosses as HPal. Beacon is just so mana intensive I wish it was on a different slot. Crusader lets us go for much longer. I wish we got the mana refund on crit heals from shock but we don't
I feel like the best way to deal with hunters DPS is to just reduce the chance of the raptor strike reset from 30% per hit to 20% per hit, the per hit thing may need looked at cause if I understand it right that means dual wield specialist hunters have a 60% chance every raptor strike to reset it's cool down, Probably should just be registered via main hand hit.
When compering BFD with Gnome we have to look in some aspects: * We had a Learning Curve, learning to use Free Action Potions, Absorb Shadow damage, boss mechanics... But in Gnome we already know that we could use Protection potions, and then the importance of use FreeAction, stacking consumables, mechanics... I guess in Phase 2 we were overprepared to the raid... we had the knowlegde of prepared the Potions, we had the scrolls, and were mentally prepared to suffer on a boss like "Dust to Dust"... Then it become much easier. (English is not my native language)
My only problem with Starsurge nerf is it's a little much, but it's mostly ok. My biggest issue is it's putting an expensive spell more into our rotation. I wish they didn't nerf Starsurge as much, and made the next Starfire deal 66% damage but cost like 50% less or something.
@@themingler441 Exactly! It's all good. I'm just going to level all the classes that I might want to play to 40. I did it to 25 and now it's time to just level everything again. Ezpz
About melee hunter: as a pve warrior was irrelevant in pvp in vanilla because of zero stam and leather items but was top dps in pve, melee hunter is getting hard kited and one shot (from priest boomy and maybe more) without even reaching his target. Also: the logs mean nothing about the majority of players playing a same class eventually when hunters get to keep on making rotation decisions EVERY global depending on the procs of raptor strike, unlike a classic warrior where the decisions were made observing bigger cds like whirlwind or bloodthirst and rage bar and not gaps of 1.5-3 second without being able to know earlier what to press. Melee hunter is super fun currently and fair and i would hate it if they made me go back to normal "melee weaving bm or mm hunt"
as a pretty hardcore wow player in sod and retail. I push high keys and mythic raid. I will say the gnomer raid is pretty hard for the sod population. just make it easier bc ppl are playing sod to have a good time and not sweat. as of now the raid just need so much communication and discord is a must.

Raid complexity is perfect. It is about taking your time and correctly doing mechanics. Knocked this raid out sunday on first reset. Took a couple wipes, but is perfectly doable. Warrior tanking on the other hand needs some love. The devastate nerf was waaaaay too aggressive and has made the class feel so meh... Hoping my warrior comes online with gear or it's going to he a loooong phase.
You’re screwed unless they bring armor values down, I offtanked our last raid and felt great on the first 2 bosses and then after that in the high armor bosses even with endless rage I just couldn’t generate enough rage to hold good threat, I feel for prot warriors it’s a rough spot now, I am happy to go back to dpsing for our next raid
Please don't nerf Gnomer, leave it alone. We 9 manned 5/6 last night, it is fine. Enhancement Shaman with 2h is bonkers in PvP. I have several times global'd players. Absolutely loving it!
I am happy our little Dad guild cleared Gnomer on the first lock out. It was hard we had no priests or paladins, thus no dispel or remove disease. We had to use Faps and Jungle remedies.
Would be sick if we got counterparts for way of earth on shaman like way of fire and way of wind with spell damage and AP/crit modifiers. Prolly gonna need to wait another phase for something like that :(
Being a Heroes of the Storm Player I can tell you that more HP's will not stop burst from bringing you from full health to no health in a matter of seconds. Either nerf the burst damage or add a damage reduction. Just making a comparison of two Blizzard games that have similar abilities.
I've mentioned some things about it on previous vids, but I'd really like to find some more thorns damage for my pally. My whole thing is aoe grinding. I enjoy the challenge of it. Working out those derpy cross specs of holy and prot that offer spell knockback prevention and increased heals, but also a fair bit of mitigation all at the cost of damage/threat. Then supplementing that with thorns damage. The shield in gnomer sounds pretty cool, but will likely be awful for soloing with all the damage you are taking from it when you block. Things like skullflame shield (with better proc rates), naglering, figurine of the colossus, and so on. Maybe a set bonus that increases ret aura or cons damage like the OG druid set bonus increased thorns damage. Stuff like that.
I'm a casual dad player. What I love about SoD is how the devs make this version for us. I'm not even level 40 yet, the new raid isn't even on my mind. The same people complaining how hard the raid is, are the same people that will complain a month into p2 that we need p3. Slow down, enjoy the ride. The more difficult it is, the more rewarding it feels. That's what made classic so great.
@@TheComebackKids No thats crap, questing and dungeons already feel like shit, they have been made far to easy, they need to nerf the hell out of all the runes and return us to classic dps numbers. SOD has gone utterly in the wrong direction, it should have been seeking to make the game much harder.
Managed to clear it last night with our guild and sure its a lot harder than BFD, but honestly, anything is harder than BFD. I think SoD needed a bit of a step up from that considering how overtuned some classes are rn. So many classes & specs are doing 1 shots whilst others hit and do no damage. I don't necessarily think Gnomer is difficult, I think it just requires a bit more thought which is nice. In BFD (and more traditional raids, like MC BWL etc) you can get away with stacking certain classes, especially warriors & mages. You can't do that as easily in Gnomer, you need a nice class distribution. The final boss is borderline impossible without a hunter or boomie (or both) to insta kill the bombs etc. And I like that. It makes the raid a way nicer place to be and feel way better when you get the kill on bosses. equally it means you have to bring more consumes & buffs and work as a team. I made sure to bring buff food & nature prot pots and that helped a lot and I think thats a really cool aspect of raiding thats kinda lost if you turn the difficulty down too much.
Great videos bud They need to keep ashenvale relevant somehow , sucks how if you want to level your alts or if you already rerolled your stuck with no chance to gain the respective reputation . Same with dungeons they need to add dailies/weeklies to keep everything relevant. Gg
This is Blizzards biggest misstake tbh.. when new content is released, everything behind is gone.. i have no idea why they do that.. why dont make old content viable ? More fun , more things to do. Its Retarded if u ask me.
First off, Amazing videos brother, I enjoy watching them. Now to the meat and potatoes of my comment... I main druid and while I agree that starsurge needed a nerf it was pretty cheesy. They've pretty much gutted the ability. I'm hitting 250 non crits and generally around 500 crits. This ability was hitting this exact same damage at level 25 WITHOUT Vengeance(100% increased critical strike damage) Also I caught in the video that you said a 43% nerf to spellpower. It was actually a 57% spellpower coefficient nurf because scaling was bugged and was 100%. They should have started there and the tweaked the ability slowly after. Also the 66% increase to starfire feels really bad to cast in both PVE and PVP, it's a low rank, it never crits, and it is entirely too expensive for not a lot of damage in return. Anyways that is my two cents, I was pretty upset with this nuke of the ability, I know the non-druid trolls will always have something to say, but overall the way they changed this ability feels absolutely horrible in terms of gameplay and rotation. A couple final thoughts on other classes, I got smacked by a level 37 hunter with a Raptor strike yesterday for 1400 damage, Mutilate rogues aren't hitting quite that hard but it's the same premise. Shadow priests are going bonkers, I know they'll probably have some tuning coming as well. But the most broken thing in this game by far is the dual-wield hunter, If they touch you, you die in 1 global. Would love to see some of that mess out of the game, never fun with there is no outplayability. Anyways, thanks for the video brother! Keep up the awesome work!
Loved the video! However, I disagree about your comment regarding questing zones. This morning, I'm running through quest zones sub lvl 25, and I'm actually loving seeing 0-2 people in total. 0 competition for quest mobs is great.
I wouldn’t worry about enhancement shaman just yet. I don’t believe we’re doing that bad and looking at the averages when all we had has been 2 lockouts, it’s just not a good enough data sample to inform how we’re performing. Give it a month then we’ll see!
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NERF GNOMER. It was hella fun and an actual challenge. The bosses aren't impossible. My guild is pretty casual and we were able to get it down with just a few wipes. I'd say it's difficulty is somewhere around AQ 40, not crazy like naxx but not a walk in the park like MC. If anything they could make the first 4 bosses a little more difficult. We one shotted those no problem. Once people start getting gear it's going to become even easier since most people are still in BFD gear.
Resto shamans problem isn't mana with Shamanistic Rage and water shield mana is not the issue. The issue with restoration shaman is the lack of viable healing runes, healing rain isn't well suited for fights with alot of movement, heavy tank damage and the spreading in the raid. Another problem in gnomeregan is the constant movement which hurts even more when you have no instant heal
I like gnomer and its difficulty but it feels like blizzard has indirectly nerfed melee dps pretty hard. The boss armor, the measly 10% attack speed on the world buff, boss mechanics heavily favoring ranged dps, and the overall weak melee dps runes. I like gnomer but I feel like gnomer hates me.
Whats the song name at 11:00? They also need to fix warlocks mount and pet summon during the STV event, like in battlegrounds when you ress, you don't have to summon a new patch. And the one shot during pvp in classic is kinda boring. Time to reduce pvp damage or something. But loving SoD so far and the channel. Keep the great work, kids!
As a Balance it found the damage really high during leveling (full BFD gear..) with the nerf de slight dps up is gone, spam wrath every second for 550+ dmg is the way to go, star fire is a no go in pvp, way to long to cast and easy interupted, so if the reason to nerf Boomies was pvp, no compensation is there.. If you see the most classed have a big damage output at will.. aah yes the range was already nerfed before and not restored. Firemages can cast 46 meters, no one complains or?
im GM of a ”dad guild” but some of us took time off to push to 40. We managed to get to third phase of the last boss in Gnomer. I really hope they dont nerf it. Its a matter of rinse and repeat until you finally can do it. And we will get stronger each lockout we run. If they nerf it now, we will snooze through it just like we did with BFD. In a few lockouts even dadguilds will be able to clear it. Pugs is another story. I say join a guild, or settle for 5/6 if you really wanna pug.
Currently in a dad guild with only 6-7 40s we pugged in 3 and still managed to go 4/6 first lockout and 6/6 after reset. It’s not hard you gotta be patient and willing to learn and progress. I feel like people whine if they don’t clear it first try in a full pug with crap gear and a bad comp.
mages outside fire spec need massive tuning. fireball reg shot hits for around 650 to 700 frost bolt hits for around 400 frost fire bolt his for around 350 spellfrost bolt hits for around 300 gnomer doesnt need tuning at all, its very easy
The only issue with Holy Paladins is the rank of Flash of Light, which is virtually the only source of Healing. We get the new rank on level 42. Which makes the spell rather weak right now. Given the fact that Paladin Runes don't provide direct Healing like Wild Growth, Prayer of Mending etc. do and only excel flash of light, Holy Paladins will look extremely strong in a phase with 50 or 60 being the max level (new Flash of Light Ranks on 50 and 58). And being a hard to clear raid is one of the essential aspects of classic raiding. Where is the achievement in something, if everybody does it with a random grp that they've never been with before. Thinking back to Season of Mastery MC or BWL - makes bfd and gnomeregan pale in comparison. A high difficulty acts as catalyst to improve.
Gnomer has a bug where most bosses have double the armor (4000+) so most melee classes with climb alot when this is fixed. Paladin and shaman will probably still be in a rough spot tho.
@@benjaminghazi787 because they have the same armor as lvl 60 bosses. It could be on purpose to nerf melee which makes the raid harder but im sure it will get changed.
The druid berserker rune is bugged. I was hoping to see a fix for it. The idol being locked behind a 10 minute CD just feels bad and if you die with stacks, the idol bugs out and you no longer can gain them. Hopefully this gets some more attention!
Opinion: Gnomeregan dificulty is just fine as it is! If anything I would say its to the easy side. Mostly due to the fact that it is all a matter of mechanics handling, and not so much a dps check. Over time players will learn and share the easiest way to deal with these mechanics and then the instance will be not hard at all, that, and peoples increase in gear.
Love the channel, best sod content. I would like to see an option to opt out of the STV event by just right-clicking our portrait instead of having to go to some npc. Also, retune the Menagerie boss, they have bit too much hp and 400hps shouldn't have to be the norm to get it down. If the boss like the 5th is a split encounter they should have relatively low health each because they cannot all just be cleaved down. The tank damage going out was insane. Seeing 6+min Menagerie fights even in the top 100 on warcraft logs shows that it is not tuned correctly imo. As a truely average gamer I did not even get to the 6th boss. I'm glad to hear all the success other people are having though GJ.
@2:50 I don't understand how players are complaining about difficulty. All the information on how to beat raid is now out there. I can understand week 1 being "hard," but after a couple of wipes on (x) boss, the raid should be able to understand how to beat (x) boss. I assume most guilds like mine who beat the raid in week 1 will have no struggles in week 2.
For the hard cap to new players being frustrated on completion of gnomer I say please farm your pre BIS your stats will increase, making this raid easier. People who is going into gnomer the first week thinking it will be easy are the ones who don't want to farm for pre bis and are the exact ones to complain how hard content is. Make your self into a beast get into gnomer with increase stats then you will get a better comparison. The people that complains are the ones who don't want to work on pre bis. It's only the hard efforts that will be what separates the string from the weak and I like that idea of making raids harder. If raids are easy then we don't farm pre bis, making it a ez boring game.
I would love in future phases for feral cats to get swipe, maim, and maybe even primal wrath. I know it probably won't happen but a feral cat can dream.
I always keep an eye out for your comments. You’ve sent me some of the nicest comments throughout my journey doing RUclips. Truly thank you and god bless. -Skyy
I averaged 99s in BFD and I love gnomer so far. Only change would be the 4th boss so you don’t need caster dps but it’s doable but not so easy you can 1 shot all the bosses right away
By all means, if you get oneshot by a mutilate you have literally no gear. Outside of the event and without any buffs my rogue has 400ap and 2.2k hp so i would argue i have at least decent gear. On ungeared targets (and i have epic weapons and backstab talents) i havent crit for more than 690 at best which usually still has me use mutilate 2-3 times before i can kill something. Now against geared targets i dont even want to get started... with trinket, stun resistances, heals and more its really frustrating if a target doesnt die even with a full stun and maybe even reset rotation. Blind is now melee range and 10 second duration too. Now compare that with palas globaling you in their hammer of justice or whatever the stun was called, priests just 2 tapping you amidst your team, tauren shamans oneshotting you with molten blast or whatever the burst thing is, mages oneshotting you with arcane surge and more.
@@TheComebackKids Is that actually what you call a "oneshot"? Like at least try and be realistic. If a rogue opens up on you without stunning you you just stun them, maybe pot and actually fight them instead of stand around and wait for them to mutilate you till you die. Mutilate is not even close to the be-all-end-all you try and make it out to be.
As a marksman/BM ranged hunter -- I saw this coming. I was disappointed to see we didn't receive ANY damage buffs to our runes and instead were gifted a mana mechanism, which is nice, but also Melee Specialist + Dual Wield Specialization are two melee exclusives and are very strong. Maybe Steady shot damage increase? I'm hoping they do address it because I don't necessarily want to be forced to go melee. Other than that, I'm really enjoying phase 2 so far. I like the difficulty of Gnomer and I like that less people will be able to casually complete it or complete it on farm. I think it should be slightly tuned to be a little easier considering some mechanics are quite punishing but I'm personally excited because I felt BFD was a bit of snoozefest outside of a few fights. New Bloodmoon changes seem solid as a start. The pacify/invisibility thing helps a lot with making sure whoever you are fighting is going to grant you stacks and to prevent GY camping.
I'm scared I went melee as soon as I could because I wanted to play that way. After seeing logs im bracing for it. As a melee hunter pvp is a lot like warrior on classic if I catch you, ima do a lot but I have no interupt and my gap closer can backfire with any dmg taken. I hope the pve tuning doesn't ruin pvp because if you have any brain a melee hunter should be an ez kite.
@@OvertPumkin I think they won't touch it for a while. It is a fun spec! I do hope they don't nerf it into the ground. I don't mind at all that it's good just would like to at least see Marksman be in "A" category of damage as well. Definitely will be hard to tune for both but time will tell.
@Shinyshoesz the mana rune is useless with how op aspect of the viper is. I have a feeling aimshot may be getting a rune next phase to make up the lack of MM love. Also steady shot with mana feels bad should have just made a new shot skill.
@@OvertPumkin Yeah 100 percent agree. It seems like something designed for people struggling with mana, but Viper you get 100 percent in a few shots and you're good to burst again. A little bit of a headscratcher why we didn't receive another shot or at least something else to help the damage or help the raid for utility at least if we're gonna be C tier dps haha. I saw this coming though, fr. I'm gonna stay patient though. I have a feeling they're gonna make changes in the next few weeks and we might see buffs/nerfs. I'll wait it out.
Please don’t nerf Gnomer! 🙏🏼 At least don’t nerf it too much. I’m someone that doesn’t get to play too often. It takes me a bit to get to the endgame content. It was kind of deflating to arrive at BFD and not really get the chance to test myself. We always marvel at the “old days” when raids took a while to clear, but then complain when they … take a while to clear? I’m a firm believer that the game gets more interesting when there’s gear and content that not everyone gets to see or have without a little work; that’s when you really have a chance to make a story while you play. When you work for it, it’s that much more significant when you get it.
i know it's too early to say, but Gnomeregan needs a nerf, not to be toxic but did my second raid today with different group and both times my teammates struggled from pressure of the mechanics on all but third boss (even tho whole raid piss easy to me as a retail and FF14 player), when the raid is gonna have 3 day lock out, it's gonna be extremely exhausting to log in knowing it might take 3 hours to finish a raid on one character Again, challenge is GREAT and i wish they will try more cool stuff like they did here, but once it becomes a farm it's gonna be annoying instead exciting for puging encounters where you can wipe to unlucky bomb spawns, lack of pre planning (fix electrocutioner6000 cheese btw) and a very unhealthy bosses damage output to tanks (maybe i'm wrong here but i don't thing permacasting flashes of light on the tank is super fun for healers who have cool damage buttons to use)
As a casual common player, bfd just felt like a longer dungeon. It's very simple and easy, and I wished it was harder. The people who are complaining only care about getting loot as quickly as possible
During the new pvp event paladins and warlocks can't mount up after rezing to join up with our party. The silence is ridiculous. The speed buff is nice, but I also think it is making the area lag when there are so many people zooming around. I also think forming a raid group should not be allowed during Blood Moon. They are supposed to be getting a penalty, but are dominating the entire area to compensate blood gain nerf. I also believe that the area boss isn't doing as intended to force people not to form raids. Maybe increase the are it will go after raids. Or make more of the bosses running around
The amount of people in 1 area is sometimes just stupid. It needs to be fixed. I don't mind other people, but It can't be, that the fastest way to complete a quest, is to farm 1 spawn spot for a certain quest mob (the trolls in the cave in arati highlands for example)
My guild did 6/6 our first night raiding together again, it was a great challenge, took us about 4-5 attempts for each boss, i dont believe it should be changed just yet
Keep Gnomer difficulty as is, let people give the difficulty a try. As we figure out class rotations I am sure Gnomer will get easier, especially with raid gear. BFD was fun, but it did get boring. Having mechanics is actually really fun and creates involvement in the game

Let’s freaking go
Your not a true dad guild lol, they are not even 40 yet…
A true Dad Guild would still be level 33, 34 by now 😉

I can see what you saying

Well that’s fair
It’s actually more than lvl 60. Molten core bosses for example are around 3700. The last 2 bosses in gnomer are around 4500 lol.
They don’t even match level 60, high armor level 60 bosses have 3700 armor, mekgineer has 4400 armor, this was very intentionally by the devs to nerf all melee classes
Our gear is better itemized than most mc gear. Almost all of the gear in gnomer is better than most prebis at 60.
Yeah it’s crazy
Hey comeback kids!
On behalf of all boomkins, can you point out the fact that there’s no AB gear at the same power level as the other classes next video?

Speaking as a druid player, I definitely acknowledge that starsurge was too strong and needed a nerf but these latest changes have resulted in basically a 40-45% damage reduction to the ability. I think it went too far and my wrath casts can crit higher than starsurge.
Thank you for admitting it
The starsurge nerf was normal for pvp, but nerfing a 38+ % crit spell and buffing a 8% one ils not fair

Love it
A clear before reset is not a “dad guild”. Most “dad guilds” are barely hitting 40.
Then our guild dads are not the same. We must be built different as a dad guild then brother. Just more efficient in leveling I guess.
Do NOT nerf the raid please.... Do not touch it!
Or... In fact, I think they should make it harder, at least the first 4 bosses. I pugged 6/6 day one, going in blind.
Yessss

no nerf sod totally agree
The one thing about balance I don't like is how fast pvp happens. I got into a few scuffles last night when I took a break stealth stalking you waiting for you to hit 40. A shaman and I literally killed each other at the same time in .9 seconds. I want a pvp fight that last at least 5seconds. Would be much more fulfilling than just 1 second of burst - dead.
Isn't this the whole reason they nerfed the insane DMG on starsurge? Because you guys are running around 1 shotting players?
@@VorpalSliver I'm sure they did gut SS because of PvP. Hardly the only spec that was doing very high burst dam though.
I feel that
Balance was nerfed way too hard, I agree.
I can see what you are saying
Something I think would be really nice if they did was to make another boss that unlocks halfway thru the season.
That would really make it nice. Maybe a shoulder enchant or something simple could drop.
That would be sick
Comment for the devs. Can you please work on a fix for layering in a group? There have been several instances where I am in a 5 man group out in the open world and we are on different layers. It makes it hard to get some of the questing done that requires more than 1 or 2 people.
Thanks for leaving this
As someone that has played melee hunter from HC as a challenge and into Phase one of sod, the biggest thing that has made it most viable is the melee specialist rune.
Good point
That’s fair
Nerf the raid. This isn’t retail. Tank and spank and move the f on. It’s not fun to take so much time and need a consistent coordinated group. I think this should be the MOST accessible version of wow. P2 has a lot of travel based time padding too. I am an older gamer and I liked the pacing of P1. The rate of gear, item and rune acquisition was spot on. Even slow casuals like me could get bis and raid log. I liked the equality in P1. With it being easy it doesn’t matter if you parse the highest. It’s just a fun time clickin buttons watching shit fall over.
You don’t need a coordinated group and tank n spank relax man the raid is easy as soon as you know the mechanics
I enjoy the tuning of gnomer being a bit on the more difficult side. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the wiping and figuring out his mechanics/how to win a fight is what binds raid groups together. Overcoming difficulty as a group.
I agree
Disagree on the raid difficulty, classic Andy's need the raid content to be easily puggable to be fun

Personally I've found Crusader Strike to be much more helpful for bosses as HPal. Beacon is just so mana intensive I wish it was on a different slot. Crusader lets us go for much longer. I wish we got the mana refund on crit heals from shock but we don't
Interesting I feel you on beacon mama cost
I feel like the best way to deal with hunters DPS is to just reduce the chance of the raptor strike reset from 30% per hit to 20% per hit, the per hit thing may need looked at cause if I understand it right that means dual wield specialist hunters have a 60% chance every raptor strike to reset it's cool down, Probably should just be registered via main hand hit.
I can agree with this
When compering BFD with Gnome we have to look in some aspects:
* We had a Learning Curve, learning to use Free Action Potions, Absorb Shadow damage, boss mechanics...

My only problem with Starsurge nerf is it's a little much, but it's mostly ok. My biggest issue is it's putting an expensive spell more into our rotation. I wish they didn't nerf Starsurge as much, and made the next Starfire deal 66% damage but cost like 50% less or something.

I've mentioned some things about it on previous vids, but I'd really like to find some more thorns damage for my pally. My whole thing is aoe grinding. I enjoy the challenge of it. The same people complaining how hard the raid is, are the same people that will complain a month into p2 that we need p3. Slow down, enjoy the ride. The more difficult it is, the more rewarding it feels. That's what made classic so great.
Agree
They need to add like 10 stamina to every piece of gear around level 40 in the entire game so everyone has around 1k more hp
True
I agree
Yes make Gnomer easier so I can pug it, get in and get out and get some good loot. Loved the casual nature of BFD
Maybe later in the season but let people enjoy progression
Please buff the proc rate of power surge for shamans it is very underwhelming as is
Feel that
Great videos bud
They need to keep ashenvale relevant somehow , sucks how if you want to level your alts or if you already rerolled your stuck with no chance to gain the respective reputation . Same with dungeons they need to add dailies/weeklies to keep everything relevant. Gg
That’s fair
This is Blizzards biggest misstake tbh.. when new content is released, everything behind is gone.. i have no idea why they do that.. why dont make old content viable ? More fun , more things to do. Its Retarded if u ask me.
Idk about you, but I'm really glad that SoD just exists. Also love the videos bro.
Agree love it
First off, Amazing videos brother, I enjoy watching them.
I can see what you are saying and agree it may have been a bit heavy handed, and thank you so much for watching
Loved the video! However, I disagree about your comment regarding questing zones. This morning, I'm running through quest zones sub lvl 25, and I'm actually loving seeing 0-2 people in total. 0 competition for quest mobs is great.
Well that’s fair
I wouldn’t worry about enhancement shaman just yet. I don’t believe we’re doing that bad and looking at the averages when all we had has been 2 lockouts, it’s just not a good enough data sample to inform how we’re performing. Give it a month then we’ll see!
I can agree
I agree did Gnome last night and was fun, the last 2 bosses really are a challenge, which is awesome :)
Feel that
i think you guys are doing great job and keeping everyone informed and hyped
i mysel cant wait to dive in finally on saturday, keep up the solid work
Let’s goooooo
Boosts to 40 wearing level 25 gear "Gnomer is too hard" kekw
Lmaoo
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NERF GNOMER. It was hella fun and an actual challenge. The bosses aren't impossible. My guild is pretty casual and we were able to get it down with just a few wipes. I'd say it's difficulty is somewhere around AQ 40, not crazy like naxx but not a walk in the park like MC. If anything they could make the first 4 bosses a little more difficult. We one shotted those no problem. Once people start getting gear it's going to become even easier since most people are still in BFD gear.
I agree
Resto shamans problem isn't mana with Shamanistic Rage and water shield mana is not the issue. The issue with restoration shaman is the lack of viable healing runes, healing rain isn't well suited for fights with alot of movement, heavy tank damage and the spreading in the raid. Another problem in gnomeregan is the constant movement which hurts even more when you have no instant heal
True
I like gnomer and its difficulty but it feels like blizzard has indirectly nerfed melee dps pretty hard. The boss armor, the measly 10% attack speed on the world buff, boss mechanics heavily favoring ranged dps, and the overall weak melee dps runes. I like gnomer but I feel like gnomer hates me.
Could be true
Whats the song name at 11:00?
They also need to fix warlocks mount and pet summon during the STV event, like in battlegrounds when you ress, you don't have to summon a new patch.
And the one shot during pvp in classic is kinda boring. Time to reduce pvp damage or something.
But loving SoD so far and the channel. Keep the great work, kids!
It’s wow music!
I think it was the instant nature of it
@@TheComebackKids määh then it is made useless
im GM of a ”dad guild” but some of us took time off to push to 40.
Love this
Currently in a dad guild with only 6-7 40s we pugged in 3 and still managed to go 4/6 first lockout and 6/6 after reset. It’s not hard you gotta be patient and willing to learn and progress. I feel like people whine if they don’t clear it first try in a full pug with crap gear and a bad comp.
Love that
Nice sponsor glad you are growing.
Thank you so much brother
mages outside fire spec need massive tuning. fireball reg shot hits for around 650 to 700 frost bolt hits for around 400 frost fire bolt his for around 350 spellfrost bolt hits for around 300
gnomer doesnt need tuning at all, its very easy
Agree
Yeah spell ranks are a killer for sure
Gnomer has a bug where most bosses have double the armor (4000+) so most melee classes with climb alot when this is fixed. Paladin and shaman will probably still be in a rough spot tho.
Sheeeesh
How u find out its a bug?
Yeah why do you think it’s a bug?
@@benjaminghazi787 because they have the same armor as lvl 60 bosses. It could be on purpose to nerf melee which makes the raid harder but im sure it will get changed.
If there's one thing you can count on, it's hunters being OP. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Lmao what
The druid berserker rune is bugged. I was hoping to see a fix for it. The idol being locked behind a 10 minute CD just feels bad and if you die with stacks, the idol bugs out and you no longer can gain them. Hopefully this gets some more attention!
Ouchhh
Opinion: Gnomeregan dificulty is just fine as it is!
If anything I would say its to the easy side. Mostly due to the fact that it is all a matter of mechanics handling, and not so much a dps check.
Over time players will learn and share the easiest way to deal with these mechanics and then the instance will be not hard at all, that, and peoples increase in gear.
Agree
Haven’t been to gnomer yet so can’t comment on that but agree about the stv even
@2:50 I don't understand how players are complaining about difficulty. All the information on how to beat raid is now out there. I can understand week 1 being "hard," but after a couple of wipes on (x) boss, the raid should be able to understand how to beat (x) boss. I assume most guilds like mine who beat the raid in week 1 will have no struggles in week 2.
Well that’s fair
I feel this
I would love in future phases for feral cats to get swipe, maim, and maybe even primal wrath. I know it probably won't happen but a feral cat can dream.
Shoooosh
Fantastic videos you all provide. I’m really enjoying SoD.
God is good!
Yes 👏
You can pop multiple mutilates back to back though?
@@TheComebackKids Is that actually what you call a "oneshot"? Like at least try and be realistic.
If a rogue opens up on you without stunning you you just stun them, maybe pot and actually fight them instead of stand around and wait for them to mutilate you till you die. Mutilate is not even close to the be-all-end-all you try and make it out to be.
The way you depict mutilate is so disingenuous...
@Shinyshoesz someone had to be the horde kings buff shit dps right?
Please don’t nerf Gnomer! 🙏🏼
At least don’t nerf it too much.
I agree working for it makes it better
Love your channel. All the updates and things we need to know in one place.
Thank you so much!
i know it's too early to say, but Gnomeregan needs a nerf, not to be toxic but did my second raid today with different group and both times my teammates struggled from pressure of the mechanics on all but third boss (even tho whole raid piss easy to me as a retail and FF14 player), when the raid is gonna have 3 day lock out, it's gonna be extremely exhausting to log in knowing it might take 3 hours to finish a raid on one character
Again, challenge is GREAT and i wish they will try more cool stuff like they did here, but once it becomes a farm it's gonna be annoying instead exciting for puging encounters where you can wipe to unlucky bomb spawns, lack of pre planning (fix electrocutioner6000 cheese btw) and a very unhealthy bosses damage output to tanks (maybe i'm wrong here but i don't thing permacasting flashes of light on the tank is super fun for healers who have cool damage buttons to use)
You really think it’s that hard?
@@TheComebackKids for classic for sure!
As a casual common player, bfd just felt like a longer dungeon. It's very simple and easy, and I wished it was harder. The people who are complaining only care about getting loot as quickly as possible
I can feel you
During the new pvp event paladins and warlocks can't mount up after rezing to join up with our party.
That’s rough
Did balance druids get another stealth nerf? I feels like I do way less dmg today ten yesterday. Something about crit seems of.
Not sure
I love that the raid is not that easy to clean! Please Blizzard, do NOT nerf the raid too hard! (just reduce the armor of the bosses a BIT)
Yesss
The amount of people in 1 area is sometimes just stupid. It needs to be fixed. I don't mind other people, but It can't be, that the fastest way to complete a quest, is to farm 1 spawn spot for a certain quest mob (the trolls in the cave in arati highlands for example)
I agree
This is definitely the best WoW content channel. Please stream as much as you can!!
We are going to try for sure!
My guild did 6/6 our first night raiding together again, it was a great challenge, took us about 4-5 attempts for each boss, i dont believe it should be changed just yet
Agreed
Balance is brutal now, that starfire buff wasn't enough
It might get more
Keep Gnomer difficulty as is, let people give the difficulty a try. As we figure out class rotations I am sure Gnomer will get easier, especially with raid gear. BFD was fun, but it did get boring. Having mechanics is actually really fun and creates involvement in the game
Yes it shouldn’t be touched
Thank god they nerfed starsurge to be more fun and interactive for the opposing players
Ooof
