Hey everyone!! In this video we take a look at Keemstar's and Void's song called 'KPOP STANS DISSTRACK". This diss track by Keemstar (Drama Alert) and Void has been going viral on the internet and sending BTS and SHINee fans at them hard after a diss on Jimin and Jonghyun. In this video I discuss what happened and give my opinion on the drama going with this song about Korean Pop music.

Update: Void watched my video and wants to have a 1 on 1 discussion with me. Are there any points or information you want me to bring up to him so he understands how people are feeling?
Call them an idiot for me. You would think that in the making of the whole diss track they would of realized how horrible this was.
Please tell him that making fun of the artists isn't the same as making fun of kpop "stans"!
A few other questions I have are:
Why make the diss track in the first place? It's not like he didn't know what would happen.
Is he informed that not all kpop fans are obsessive stalkers?
Does he realize how disrespectful and disgusting it is to make fun of someones suicide, metal health and hardships?
Is it really that hard to post an apology, delete the video and stop talking about it?
Jonghyuns family, friends and fans deserve an apology. He made fun of the death of someone they loved.
He also made fun of the struggles kpop stars have to go through. A lot of idols have anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. It's nothing to joke about and make fun of. He played into the stereotype "All asians look the same". With the increase of Asian hate crimes and racism against asians, I seriously don't understand what was going through his mind to do this.
Edit: Also please tell him that I'm not attacking him, I just hope he realizes the problems with what he said and how it affects other people. No hate from my side.✌
i think you should ask him what his motives were for the video in the first place? is he pressed about the fact that kpop is big? is he racist? does he not understand the impact of asian hate right now and the fact that he is dissing asians adds fuel to the fire? did he just want views and he knows that kpop has such a huge following that he’d probably get a lot of views just for bad press because bad press is good press for those who are basically irrelevant?
++ please also ask him why he had the audacity to bring up not only a triggering subject in the kpop community but also for a lot of people generally (suicide) and why he had to show images of the funeral which is extremely disrespectful? regardless of the funeral being one someone who has a huge following, using any footage of someone’s funeral is highly disrespectful so why did he think that he had the right to do this?

why does he think it's okay to generalize, kpop fans and the industry? for the most part they've always been positive- im only a SHINee (the group Jonghyun was in) stan (shawol) so i dont identify as a kpop stan- and always supports their idols over everything by sending them love streaming their music and buying their merch. Whereas you have void and his stans who dont do anything remotely positive. Void makes his career (aside from making actual music) disstracks and talking about others for CLOUT- which then sends a message that it's okay to make offensive music and that it's okay for his fans to then attack whoever the song is about. that's what this whole situation is.
I’m not a K pop Stan but yes I will listen it to it and I am a fan of some groups but this diss track was straight up disrespectful especially making fun of someone’s death

The meaning of their name is ‘one who receives the light’ because they want to shine light on everyone who’s in the dark
Also thank you for this video, I’m bad at expressing my own feelings on the matter but you basically said everything I wanted to say, I really appreciate it. (There’s a few more things I’d want to add as a Shawol (shinee fan) but that’s just about jjongs passing in general and how many non-Shawols see him, so not really relevant)

I hope 2 years later you realised he was not making fun of the death more pointing it out how the K-pop industry made her do it.
For those of you defending Keemster & Void saying he didn't disrespect Jonghyun, let me clarify for you:
He picked the WRONG idol! Am I the only one who gets incensed when some Youtubber makes a video incorporating a tragedy for which they have not done their due diligence? I find it sad that these two clueless, ignorant individuals twisted the words in JH's note and left out key information, thereby misleading people. Jonghyun's (JH) was not their tragedy to exploit in yet another video about the abuses of Kpop artists. Here's why:
1) JH had suffered from chronic depression since childhood - before ever becoming an idol
2) While JH didn't like media attention, he loved making music, SHAWOLs, and the SM family
3) JH loved his SHINee hyungs
4) SM provided JH with counselors during the time he was with them
5) SM allowed JH creative license with writing/producing music for SHINee, himself, and other artists. This was unheard of back then. I firmly believe (speculate) that this was to help JH deal with his depression.
6) In his note, JH cited that it was the COUNSELORS who failed him --- He never mentioned SM at all. The counselors tried to say it was all in JH's head and he needed to just basically get over it. This is what tormented JH. The fact that the very people who were there to help him pushed the blame back on him and didn't even try to understand what he was going through. If someone doesn't believe this, the suicide note was actually also posted on YT for everyone to see.
7) After the tragedy, SM provided support to all the members and JH's family.
8) JH's family established a foundation to help youths in the performing arts and with mental health - The Shiny Foundation. SM donated W900 million (approx. 1.1 million US) to the foundation.
9) The Shiny Foundation holds an annual bazaar in which SM artists donate personal items to auction off to benefit the foundation.
10) If JH's death had been the result of mistreatment by SM, you can bet that his SHINee hyungs would have raised a huge outcry and quit SM. They are family and at that point in their careers they had the ability to walk and still continue to make music without SM. However, on the contrary, SHINee continue to say that SM is also a part of their family and openly state they love SM. JH's family, SHINee, and SM are still very close and involved with each other.
Never just ASSUME that every tragedy that happens within a certain community is because of that community itself.
Lastly, regarding the rest of the rant, to make it accurate, they should have directed it at Saesangs - don't know who they are? LOOK THEM UP AND RESEARCH. They are the fans (if you can even call them that) who never want their idols to marry, want them in perfect shape even if it means dying of starvation, and torment them endlessly via social media and in person. Regular stans don't engage in these practices and actually want what's best for the idols/groups they stan. Secondly, if they knew or researched anything about S. Korean culture, they would understand that most of the men don't even want to think about getting married until after their mandatory military service. Both men and women don't think about marriage until they are in their 30s, when they are more established. Many don't marry until they are in their 40s. They don't subscribe to Western customs or values, people! So stop trying to force them to behave according to our culture. They have their own and don't need us to tell them how to live. That's called extreme arrogance at the least and bigotry at the most.

Thank you sir for using your platform to call out his disgusting bullshit and not siding with their weird racist behavior towards Asian ppl which is so normalized in their community full of white male youtubers that tend to be openly racist and have fans that feed off of that and in turn create a toxic environment. That picture was unauthorized by the family and was crashed by paparazzi. The funeral was supposed to be a private event for close friends, family and the ppl from the company including other idols/groups.

Umm... no... he had chronic depression for a long time. If you do your research, u would know that he never Blamed the community or put any blame on the company. He did talk about the therapy tho and how counselors failed him. But that has more to due on South Koreas viewpoint on mental health, not just the industry. South Korea is just now starting to put importance on mental health and depression. So please don’t speak on this if you don’t know anything about it. Although he didn’t like being in the spotlight, he loved his members and fans a lot.

He didn’t really make fun of someone’s death,he was dissing the industry,and when he said “they be starving themselves” he is referring to the industry basically controlling their life, and when he said “I lately wonder why they be commuting su*cide” that is also about the industry and basically saying that the industry giving us giving kpop artists them pressure.
The disstrack is all over the place which makes it misleading. for example Keem was saying “F**k Jimin” and Void was saying K-Pop has trash lyrics and making fun of them for their plastic surgery. At points they diss the artists, but then here they’re defending the artists? And if you’re talking about someone’s su*cide you shouldn’t be doing it in a diss track, shouldn’t be showing pictures of a funeral which is disrespectful towards his family. Like I said my channel is based around roasting people, but we need to draw a line between dissing the stage character and respecting a human being’s passing
