The disstrack had no target. I get that it was supposed to diss overly obsessed, toxic stans and moral less, money hungry companies but it didn't achieve any of that. This disstrack just disrespectfully shot against anything and anyone that has slightly to do with Korean music. Let's talk about the stan thing first: K-Pop stans are all independent individuals from all ages and ethnicities that happen to like and support K-Pop. Yes, there are a lot of toxic stans out there, just like in every big group of people. That goes for Football fans, sports fans in general, fans of a movie franchise, fans of any kind of music, fans of an author or artist, it basically goes for any fandom of literally anything. The toxic ones are just a loud minority. The difference is that K-Pop stans in general are very focused on numbers and social media, which means that you're gonna see them more often. It might be annoying for some people but you can just block the word "K-Pop" or "BTS" on Twitter if you have no interest in these topics and are annoyed by them. Most of the fans don't do any harm and just mind their own business, supporting their favorite. Sadly there are a few really extreme toxic ones that even the K-Pop fandom itself hates. The problem is, that people just generalize the entire fandom after interacting with a few stupid psychopaths. Some of the things the track said about the companies and the industry are true. Up until a few years ago slave contracts were legal in South Korea and a lot of K-Pop idols had very little control about their lives and were overworked by the companies. Even though the "Big 3" Companies (YG with Blackpink, Big Bang and iKon for example / SM with Shinee, Exo, Red Velvet and NCT / JYP with Twice, Itzy and Stray Kids) have improved a lot over the years and a lot of their artists write and produce their own music now, they still have a lot of problems with intransparency, sexualizing artists and overworking them. They are by far not perfect at all and it's ok to criticize these specific instances but it's not ok to generalize the entire Korean music industry after these examples. The biggest Entertainment Company in Korea "Hybe Labels" with artists such as bts, txt, seventeen, enhypen, gfriend, nu'est and more has never had a single serious scandal, which no American Pop Label can claim. Hybe is known for their transparency, fairness and artistic freedom that their artists get. Bts, Seventeen and Nu'est write and produce most of their music themselves and can basically do whatever they want. Some other famous K-Pop companies that treat their artists better than the majority of the American Companies are RBW with Mamamoo and Oneus, KQ with Ateez and Psy's Label (yes, the gangnam style guy) P Nation with Jessi, Hyuna, Dawn and Heize. K-Pop is not that manufactured machine that everyone is talking about. I think that comes from the prejudice that Asians are work animals. I just find the Hypocrisy funny. No one is boycotting the entire American music industry for the artists who committed suicide, because we know a little bit of their backgrounds and are able to differentiate. Same should go for Korean artists. Although many Americans don't know their backstories, they shouldn't just assume it was because of the toxic fans and the manufactured industry. Mental health is way more complex than that. This disstrack was a disrespectful shitshow, talking about Labels that have nothing to do with bts and saying "Fuck Jimin" while showing a picture of Jungkook a few seconds later. It dragged in a suicide with no apparent reason and insulted the entire Korean music industry to piss off the fans. What for? Criticize the specific group of people that send death threats and the specific cases when companies were shitty. Everything about this track was not ok. I know it was kind of supposed to be a troll but that doesn't justify anything.

It’s the fact that this diss track was barely on us
The disstrack had no target. I get that it was supposed to diss overly obsessed, toxic stans and moral less, money hungry companies but it didn't achieve any of that. This disstrack just disrespectfully shot against anything and anyone that has slightly to do with Korean music.
Let's talk about the stan thing first: K-Pop stans are all independent individuals from all ages and ethnicities that happen to like and support K-Pop. Yes, there are a lot of toxic stans out there, just like in every big group of people. That goes for Football fans, sports fans in general, fans of a movie franchise, fans of any kind of music, fans of an author or artist, it basically goes for any fandom of literally anything. The toxic ones are just a loud minority. The difference is that K-Pop stans in general are very focused on numbers and social media, which means that you're gonna see them more often. It might be annoying for some people but you can just block the word "K-Pop" or "BTS" on Twitter if you have no interest in these topics and are annoyed by them. Most of the fans don't do any harm and just mind their own business, supporting their favorite. Sadly there are a few really extreme toxic ones that even the K-Pop fandom itself hates. The problem is, that people just generalize the entire fandom after interacting with a few stupid psychopaths.
Some of the things the track said about the companies and the industry are true. Up until a few years ago slave contracts were legal in South Korea and a lot of K-Pop idols had very little control about their lives and were overworked by the companies. Even though the "Big 3" Companies (YG with Blackpink, Big Bang and iKon for example / SM with Shinee, Exo, Red Velvet and NCT / JYP with Twice, Itzy and Stray Kids) have improved a lot over the years and a lot of their artists write and produce their own music now, they still have a lot of problems with intransparency, sexualizing artists and overworking them. They are by far not perfect at all and it's ok to criticize these specific instances but it's not ok to generalize the entire Korean music industry after these examples.
The biggest Entertainment Company in Korea "Hybe Labels" with artists such as bts, txt, seventeen, enhypen, gfriend, nu'est and more has never had a single serious scandal, which no American Pop Label can claim. Hybe is known for their transparency, fairness and artistic freedom that their artists get. Bts, Seventeen and Nu'est write and produce most of their music themselves and can basically do whatever they want.
Some other famous K-Pop companies that treat their artists better than the majority of the American Companies are RBW with Mamamoo and Oneus, KQ with Ateez and Psy's Label (yes, the gangnam style guy) P Nation with Jessi, Hyuna, Dawn and Heize.
K-Pop is not that manufactured machine that everyone is talking about. I think that comes from the prejudice that Asians are work animals. I just find the Hypocrisy funny. No one is boycotting the entire American music industry for the artists who committed suicide, because we know a little bit of their backgrounds and are able to differentiate. Same should go for Korean artists. Although many Americans don't know their backstories, they shouldn't just assume it was because of the toxic fans and the manufactured industry. Mental health is way more complex than that.
This disstrack was a disrespectful shitshow, talking about Labels that have nothing to do with bts and saying "Fuck Jimin" while showing a picture of Jungkook a few seconds later. It dragged in a suicide with no apparent reason and insulted the entire Korean music industry to piss off the fans. What for? Criticize the specific group of people that send death threats and the specific cases when companies were shitty. Everything about this track was not ok. I know it was kind of supposed to be a troll but that doesn't justify anything.
