  • A Fan-made attempt to mix the English vocals from the track 'Love light', which was produced in the Philippines as part of the Songs of a High Spirited Saga CD released in 1996, with the original Japanese instrumental of the track 'Hikari no Tabi' which plays at the end of the Dragon Ball Z special, Bardock: the Father of Goku. This is the first time that this has been done for the full version of the song.

So there is quite a bit of backstory behind this one. Some of you may recall that I made a post a few months ago discussing how I had been hacked and had lost all of the files on my computer. One notable file that I had lost was a project that I had been heavily working on before the hack essentially reset my progress completely and I had to start from scratch. Well I am happy to announce that I have finally finished it, after weeks of retracing steps and making up for lost time, here it is! This is essentially what the song 'Hikari no Tabi', which was originally covered by Hironobu Kageyama, would sound like with English vocals. You may be surprised to know that there were many English releases of songs from the original DBZ soundtrack created in the Philippines for their dub, unlike for the American version. I essentially ripped the vocals from their cover of Hikari no Tabi and combined them with an instrumental of the Japanese version that I made using Spleeter to create this, a full version of the Japanese instrumental with 3 English singers.
I'd like to give a big thank you to yugidmx5 for providing me with information on how to get the Filipino audio as well as some advice on how to create this track. This whole project was inspired by a video that he made some time ago: • Video However, he only went as far as creating a TV Size version, since that was the only version of the instrumental available, but my attempt goes a step further and covers the whole track. It was very complicated trying to sync up the vocals correctly, but he provided an acapella of his attempt which made this much easier so I am very grateful. I've provided the instrumental version of the track in case people want that as well, along with a version that does not have the intro and starts just like it does in the TV special. See you in the next video folks!
