Today I actually did something similar except all mine are just on the side of my work bench. I sent a picture to my father and he warned that storing them like this may weaken the clamp. Have you noticed this at all?
Three years later, they are still very painful when I use them to clamp my fingers 😄 More seriously, they are not meant to strongly clamp different pieces together anyway, so no worries, imho.
Good idea with the clamps. I have a pull out drawer for those type clamps that I can just grab and bring to the work bench.

Brilliant solution to the problem of the storage of this type of clamp, and so easy to do. All I need now is some shelves.
