IDK why ppl don't clean their equipment after each use. That is what I do. If you have calcified water you can use a bit of distiller vinegar to help keep it clean.
Hey Jesse, I CANNOT find that really tall aluminum trivet anywhere on amazon. Just looked for half an hour. Where do you get those? I keep almost running my canner dry and obviously that is not good. I want to be able to put more water in my canner but I can't right now because the trivet the Presto comes with is about 2mm tall... thoughts?

Vaseline (petroleum jelly) degrades rubber. If your cooker's gasket is rubber use a different lube/conditioner.
