Big Korra anniversary tomorrow (10 years of the ending), could be news, but I am not really expecting it. Otherwise as ever with these review/recaps if you want more info, check out my videos from earlier this year, I have news/discussion videos covering all of this stuff and more, I have reviews of pretty much all of the books/content. How do you rate 2024 as a Year in Avatar?
I definitely think this year was much better for Avatar than 2023. I really enjoyed the Netflix Avatar series, and the leaks at the end of the year were so much fun to read and get excited about. Thank you for covering all the news, Morgan!
13:40 ~ In one podcast episode, I think, Janet mentioned Dante's potential other work at Avatar Studios and Dante was like "It's just rumors.. Nobody said anything official." That's closest we've got to a confirmation/denial.
Another year another novel saving the day. As per usual, the novels are my highlight; Reckoning of Roku was truly fantastic and just always makes me most excited for those type of releases outside of animation. A nice year with some fun stuff, but I'm really looking forward to 2025. Should be really good.
This year has been great for Avatar content and with 2025 on the horizon, I expect greater things to come and hopefully better communication from the Avatar Team
Even though I didnt like everything about N:ATLA, I have to credit it for rekindling my passion for ATLA & setting me on a path to be developing two fancomics now which are well into production :)
I did like Netflix avatar and some friends from work have watched this and became new fans. I ofc recommended the animated stuff too but at least this was the jump off point for a lot of new people (at least in my own circles)
This calm before the storm has been loooong, it better be a STORM, a freezing Avatar like storm 😂. But we are getting there, 2025 is gonna be hype. One correction though, I had forgot about this, but I was looking at the theatrical release schedule and the current date of the Aang movie is actually January 30th, that first report saying the 20th was wrong, which makes sense since the 20th is not even a friday. But thanks for always being on top of every Avatar related news and for the great coverage this year, hoping for a great 2025!
Netflix Avatar has been an interesting thing to talk about especially with the mixed reception. Some friends have asked me what I think of it cause I am a fan thinking as they were thinking of watching it. While it's fine I suggested just watch the original. Still not seen that one person who said that they liked it more then the animated season 1 as I am open to hearing opinions like that as you do get interesting points and arguments. Hopefully they listen to complaints and the next 2 seasons will be better.

The best part is it seems as though Avatar content will rapidly increase in the next four years.
