    I used to work at cranberry farms in Massachusetts (Ocean Spray and others) and we used to harvest them in machines and pour them into crates (stacks of 3) and a helicopter would fly them over to load onto a truck. When it was water harvesting i would always avoid those lol. I was just an extra helper anyways. We have those things in our house. At our old house though they were like mini tarantulas and the thumb sized ones would hand around on our ceiling and wait for us to sit on the couch. When we sat on the couch, we’d have to listen for a certain noise, like a medium “tap” sound on our leather couch and that meant a wolfie jumped from the ceiling, down to the couch, and heading right toward us to attack. Those things are aggressive and I hate them. The only spiders I kill when I see a spider are the wolfies.

Because they are so small and defenseless against humans, that’s all they can really do when you try to swat at them. But the best thing you can do is just get a paper and try to swiftly yet neatly get them onto the paper and off of you. Another thing too, they’re actually just really good anti-social friends. I know it’s different in other countries, but all spiders in the UK are harmless. ❤

    Y'all, wolf spiders aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as this video is making them out to be. They're incredibly docile (they only bite when pinched/crushed) and their bite is MILD (think bee stings) with the only real risks coming from infection (which can be avoided by bathing like normal) or allergic reaction. They also make for very good houseguests, as they'll discreetly eliminate most pests without your ever knowing.

      Yeah I was about to say, their venom is more potent for their prey and doesn't effect humans. A bite is still going to hurt but you're not in any danger from a wolf spider. They're all over the place here in Texas I always feel bad having to kill them (house has arachnophobes)

    • @saltedsins
      @saltedsins 8 месяцев назад +7

      @@EZgamesthegoat Tbh you really want at least one of these in your house. They take out the ACTUAL threats to your health like (if you're in the US) Brown Recluses, Black Widows, cockroach infestations, and they're even one of the few species that will actually hunt ants. Also, they're exceptionally good moms (even for spiders) and carry their young with them until they're mature enough to balloon off (when adolescent spiders make a webbing sail to catch the wind).
