Worst scenario ive been in was probably when i found a huntsman in my boot, which is why my parents tell me to check inside my boots before i put them on (just saying my family keeps our shoes inside )
Wolf spiders are dope. Their venom is actually antimicrobial, you're more likely to get an infection from scratching yourself than from a wolf spider bite.
Wolf spider bites are actually very rare. There's a video where this guy who studies spiders does the cheese test (pestering a spider with a piece of cheese and seeing if it leaves any bite marks in the cheese) on a wolf spider, and it didn't bite despite being harrassed for like ten minutes. It only wanted to run away.
They may be rare, but spiders and insects respond the same way many people respond to falling in water: panicked flailing and grabbing anything in reach. Mantises can be fairly docile, but I once made the mistake of trying to fish one out of a swimming pool with my bare hand. That was painful.
I worked on an oyster farm and wolf spiders had taken over the piles of broken nets. I picked one up with my gloved hand by one leg. It looked at me, considered it's position, and BIT IT'S OWN FUQUEING LEG OFF. It dropped and ran to freedom. That was like 20 years ago, but I'll never forget it.
I think they should just put large poles around the field for the spiders to climb onto. Then the workers wouldn’t have to worry about becoming life rafts for the spiders.
I’d put my hair up in a bun or something, and as long as my clothes are skintight, and I have something blocking them from going on my face, I’m fine, honestly
I love that instead of saying “ew these disgusting creatures are gonna be crawling all over you and trying to bite you” they practically just say “hey these little dudes keep our cranberries healthy and stuff so let them hitch a ride on you, their your coworkers remember”
@@jovanihernandez1948 it was a rabid wolf spider so idk if that makes a difference. I'm trying to get over my fear of spiders, but that one was terrifying.
The thing is you don't even have to be scared of spiders to still freak out or feel uncomfortable having so many spiders crawl up your body and hair...
I actually love spiders ! ❤️ this would be so cool. I’d name them and pretend their coworkers . “Ready for this shift John? You keep the bugs away I’ll collect the berries. Just hop on my shoulder if you get tired” most spiders are none aggressive.
Y'all, wolf spiders aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as this video is making them out to be. They're incredibly docile (they only bite when pinched/crushed) and their bite is MILD (think bee stings) with the only real risks coming from infection (which can be avoided by bathing like normal) or allergic reaction. They also make for very good houseguests, as they'll discreetly eliminate most pests without your ever knowing.
Yeah I was about to say, their venom is more potent for their prey and doesn't effect humans. A bite is still going to hurt but you're not in any danger from a wolf spider. They're all over the place here in Texas I always feel bad having to kill them (house has arachnophobes)
@@EZgamesthegoat Tbh you really want at least one of these in your house. They take out the ACTUAL threats to your health like (if you're in the US) Brown Recluses, Black Widows, cockroach infestations, and they're even one of the few species that will actually hunt ants. Also, they're exceptionally good moms (even for spiders) and carry their young with them until they're mature enough to balloon off (when adolescent spiders make a webbing sail to catch the wind).
Wolfspiders don't bite unless specially provoked and are actually super chill. Theres tons of videos of people just handling them and on top of that they are almost as smart as jumping spooders :)
People see "spider that runs fast" and lose their minds. It's literally one of the chillest spiders. It doesn't even have a particularly painful bite if you're intentionally trying to get it to.

Exposure therapy is a thing but having hundreds of giant-ass hairy biting spiders scrambling up your body is the exact opposite of exposure therapy. Unless you’re already super chill with spiders that’ll just traumatize you and probably make you way more afraid than you already were.
I might suffer from arachnophobia, but it’s specifically for spiders that are actually dangerous. As long as the wolf spiders aren’t trying to hurt me, I think I could do the job.
This gotta be the only place where they tell you that you aren’t allowed to work here if you aren’t cool with your coworkers biting the crap out of you
1. For anyone asking yes this is real mostly 2. A wolf spider's bite doesn't hurt as much as he says and they are incapable of doing anymore damage to you than a irritated spot on ur arm 3. They will only bite u if you mess with em so just let em crawl around they ain't gonna hurt u

I have about 40 indoor plants. I've stopped removing any spiders in most places in the house, they are wonderful at pest control and save me hundreds. The only exception is my daughter's bedroom. I'll just move them by the plants or outside.
Solution: just get a sorta tall wooden stick somewhere in the fields the spiders can climb into, it might not fully stop the spiders, but multiple probably could.

DEATH to all spiders!
@@sava1606 That'll mean a rise in hornets, flies, moths, and mosquitoes
Maybe they just don’t like the smell of cheese
This is life or death, I would bite too in this scenario 😂
The spider was scared of you 😂😂😂
You scared him
They are trained to do that in spider special ops school.
Now this, this made me laugh 😂
This sent chills down my spine
I think they should just put large poles around the field for the spiders to climb onto. Then the workers wouldn’t have to worry about becoming life rafts for the spiders.

Ty ^_^
If i see that thing in real life, I’m moving states
@@pollyocof4728 No, don't kill them! Get a cup and paper and move them outside!
