I'm glad i stumbled on your channel. Been going through old stuff recently, as well. There's a bit of an over saturation of Japan-related channels by foreigners, and i've liked your points of view as a long time resident. Should have more views tbh!
Yes, it's a very competitive youtube space, which is why I am trying to stick to real life observations and more niche topics. This means I will never get the views of a "10 Things in Tokyo" video, but I hope the people who discover my videos find value in them.
Great video dude, listened to this while working out. If it's easy for you, you should make more car videos cause I really enjoyed this while having the country side scenery play through the background^^
@@Exjapter I think I really liked the stories, and I think that the driving you did (good driving by the way, nice to see someone who stops at stop signs) was the perfect visual stimulation. To me the driving theme helps sort of calm my mind and listen to your story telling. It's kind of like how a fireplace can help with storytelling, know what I am trying to say? The balance and structure of everything was really good.
You're an engaging storyteller. The last one resonates with me as last October at Narita the pesky Chinese airline insisted i print my boarding pass before flying to Shanghai. Went to the 7/11 upstairs and was struggling to print from my mobile. An employee downloaded an app to my phone but still no joy. 20 minutes and 4 lady employees later it was printed. I offered them a 1000 yen each which they turned down. To this day i am amazed at their determination to help me. It went beyond customer service and the call of duty. I love Japan 🇯🇵 ❤
Thank you for sharing your storries, i am currently also in japan and i can relate alot to your last story. I am busy with buying a house here for preparing my future move to japan. and i had the feeling that my real estate agent is not willing to sell to me. Your storries make me realise thats its not the case, but that it has to do with the protection they feel i needed to get by making a big commitment. I am happy to have seen your video to make me realise this, thank you. I am very great full
Thank you for the comment. Yes, Japanese have a level of conscientious feeling/obligation to others that many of us from other countries are not used to. Good luck with your purchase!
A nice set of stories that testify that Japanese have variant personalities, just like in any other country - the good, the bad, and the in-between. Thanks, again, for sharing! I look forward to more videos of this type, although your other videos are good also!
Thanks for the comment. I may put together another set of stories if I feel I can make a decent theme - or maybe I have one or two that could be a stand alone video.
Thank you for your stories and for the drive and views of Mt Fuji! Your last story in particular brought back memories of the early ‘90’s when I used to teach English in Osaka at a company for its employees. Although at that stage I had already been living in Japan for about 6 years, one of my students always walked me to the station after the class. I always knew it was their way of saying thank you and showing their appreciation by ensuring I was able to get home okay. Thanks again!
Realizing him speaking about the slave trade because you were there must have been an odd realization, especially since he roped every single person into it. Japan has some high difficulty level social encounters 😅
Very enjoyable story. So the museum guy must have never heard the real story of the bridge on the river kwai. I’m pro Japanese but his lack of historical knowledge is baffling. Cheers.
😂😂😂 Squealing over your garbage. I've noticed that there are higher percentage of passive aggressive people in Japan. I think it is because of the group culture so for individuals it is the only way they can release their resentments.😂😂😂The good and bad of Japanese hospitality

I would love to hear more stories from you, please and thank you! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day! 😊
This seems to be a popular opinion. Stay tuned, I will for sure make another story video soon.
That Gotemba story was very cool!
The last story was quite nice. Bless that woman for taking the time out of her day to help you when you really needed it.
I will never cease to be amazed and grateful.

I think this is my favorite vid you have put out so far.
Thank you. What was it in particular about the video that you liked?

This channel is gold, cant believe it dosnt have 50,000 subs! Thank you ! 😊
I don't know if I could handle that many subs, but I appreciate the compliment!

Going the extra mile...even after all these years it STILL surprises me.

That was really nice of your students. Thank you for sharing!
Angels and oddballs...
Like this phrase for explaining the natives
It is not meant to be a generalization! Just for some individuals. ;)
Great stories and also some great views of Fuji-san!
Thank you for the comment. Those backroads are some of my favorites, as the view never disappoints!
You would do well to write your book. Eloquent and very enjoyable tales.
Thank you!
Even after being here a quarter century, I still feel decidedly less than fully confident when walking into a new スナック or even 立ち飲み.
100% agree on the snack, but Yokohama's tachinomi tend to be so overrun with foreigners already, I don't have that issue.
Realizing him speaking about the slave trade because you were there must have been an odd realization, especially since he roped every single person into it.

Yeah, there are some head scratchers from time to time.
Very enjoyable story. So the museum guy must have never heard the real story of the bridge on the river kwai. I’m pro Japanese but his lack of historical knowledge is baffling. Cheers.
I want to hear More stories!
If you don't have- I don't care! 😂invent. It!❤
I have more stories, it's just a matter of remembering and compiling into some sort of workable theme. Stay tuned!
山梨🗻❣️COOL‼️ PEACE❤
A change of pace...

I excel at ignoring passive aggressive behavior, so Japan is much better for my peace of mind!
