@@viksinha5410 Yes I can agree that an atp 500 or lower event is not very exiting. So it's reasonable to come to OPs conclusion while I disagree with the use of hyperbole. A more eloquent skiping hyperbole language would be " ... is more exiting than the tournements on the tour right now". Note this would not be as catchy and I doubt any people would press the thumps up button. If the original commentor disagrees and thinks these matches are more exiting than slams. Then the only reasonable conclusion is delusion. Hope I did not ramble to much.
I know what you mean. Honestly, looking at it frame by frame, the call earlier at 1:32 was out, but the call on 6:14 was iffy as it seemed to have hit the line. But in these cases, you have to respect the call of the receiving player and he also played well too, so kudos to both players!
I took a really close look at that call at 6:14 and it looks to be just long. Place a tennis ball near a line as close as you can get it and then walk 5 feet away, it will look like part of the ball is on the line, but its really just overlapping the line some. Having played junior and college tennis and been a USTA referee, I would not overrule this call from the chair. You will notice the line judge also confirms the call. The ball was out.
This match really came down to a handful of points. Where Baird lost it was his erratic forehand which comes and goes inexplicably. What he needs is more discipline in the form which is too loose to be consistent. Fery has only a little bit more consistency and discipline, but that little bit was the difference here. Good match.
@@west4798 nonsense, slow the video down and watch each call...Also notice the chair umpire who can overrule calls that are incorrect. He confirms each call.
WAIT!!!! when the serve hits the top of the net its a playable ball??? is that college rules or what? I play and when it hits the net and bounces in the correct square its a redo??? someone plz inform me
Does the UCLA guy keep yelling "allez!" or is he saying "L.A.!" (pretty silly if it's the latter, inexplicable if the former unless he's French Canadian or something)
Blown away how this is #1 singles....These guys are much worse then #1 singles in prior years. The lack of versatility and being able to slice and change pace on the ball and deliver a high quality of shot is shocking.
@@tytennis321 The prior number 1 singles (Axel Geller) still plays. Arthur took his number 1 spot. Arthur is an incredible player and one of the best #1 singles in Stanford's history. I don't know what your talking about.
Slow the video down it’s just the angle and frame rate of the video. The hall travels farther then it seems before it bounces. It’s a common illusion you notice when you watch enough

what a hook at 6:14. you mean to tell me he "clearly" saw that out? ridiculous. he's also annoying af how he shakes his head and puts his finger up. seen him cheat on multiple videos now.
Man... I'm so happy you're posting again, in some ways, it's much more exciting seeing these matches than the pros

Yea I wish college tennis had more coverage cause I would love to watch it on tv
As a tennis community we need a massive uprising so that streamers use this angle to show us the matches
It’s great to see these college matches again! Thanks!
Yoo perfect timing my high school tennis season is about to start!
Good luck with it bro!! Get some good matches!!
Mine too
This video is either teaching me a lot or completely destroying my confidence
YES! YES! ARTHUR! YES! YES! YES!
I’ve watched 8 mins so far and I’ve counted 3 times Stanford player has called ball out that wasn’t out!!!

So great to see these collegiate tennis matches again from you, J10S! Thank you! You are very appreciated!
bro the thumbnail LOOOL.
Insane point in the first set @ 16:38
unreal get by Fery, even though he lost the point
Love these angles, really tired of watching pro matches
Good to see you back man
Great match & highlights. Keep it going, J10S.
3:34 that service is awesome
UCLA is just beating himself with that one handed- backhand
too many unforced errors on his backhand he needs to either practice more and gain more consistency or go with a two-handed
Fery's the real deal! Excited to see his journey
Yeah the real deal when talking about stealing points, lots of those "out" calls are not even close being out.

This UCLA dude is really cool, love his strokes
Yeah, great player. Needs to work on his rally BH and BH return….but don’t we all LOL
J10 VIDEO WAHOOO
Por fin otro video.¡¡¡!!!!
I was watching this match :)
Fery now 1 in the country
You are back ! Keep it coming, so good
Great match!!!
21:49 that is so clean by fery
Great video as always. Clear and the best angle. I'm really surprised to see Drew spray his backhand balls all over the place. Maybe it was nerves.
Line calls matter - embrace the tech Stanford
amazing
wtf why are the services that touch the net not replayed ?????
Are both of them using eastern forwhand grip?
prob the last single hand backhand in D1 tennis.
Awesome thumbnail lmao
great videoo, what camera do you use to record the matches?
5:41, ball was set??!! 1 serve! Why did they continue to play?
unfortunately College plays let’s due to amount of receiving players calling “let’s” on aces
Red shirt is more tactically sound but blue shirt probably spends twice as any hours on the court practicing.
Can someone explain 5:39 to me, did he just not call lette?
I thought the same lol
College tennis no let on serves
@@shaunpickering4427 interesting. Thx
anyone know which camera j10s uses?
5:38 there's no let in college games? Didn't know that!
Not in D1. Too many players would call a let when they got aced or had an unforced error.
That's a cannon of a serve from a 5'9" guy.
fery the short king!
are they like the last ranked in there division seems like way to much errors for top 200 300 players
28:08 underhand serve by fery
WAIT!!!! when the serve hits the top of the net its a playable ball??? is that college rules or what? I play and when it hits the net and bounces in the correct square its a redo??? someone plz inform me
In NCAA, yes, you play lets. They are live balls
Sooooo stupid!
can anyone clarify why he said "nope" at 2:44
because his opponent hit it out. Saying "nope" or "no" is another way of tennis players saying "out.
Biard has so much room for improvement. his movement and his backhand are not that good but if he can improve those shots he'd be so hard to play
Stanford stacking with geller at 3
What camera was this shot on?
5:37 why wasn't that net ? Repeat the serve ?

Thought 2:45 was out, but I played in .25 speed, and the ball seemed out. Good eyes.
Quick tip, if you put a timestanp like that, select 2 seconds before what you want to show, so that people dont miss it
interesting, it was even in before the line for me
i'd like to see arthur fery stand next to tom fawcett lol
Me too
@20:00 Baird got that call way wrong
That one too slowed down looks wide, figure the umpire had a clear view of that sideline?
@2:44, Arthur got it wrong so it probably evens out haha
also @6:13 lol

they play lets in college??

There's no let on serves that hit the tape?? Why not??

How TF is this D1 tennis
Baird is way to inconsistent. Too many unforced errors.
So many bad calls
