Francisco first off I love your videos and please keep them coming? When my clutch safety switch went out I found it way faster and easier to remove the clutch pedal assy from the firewall (4 bolts) then remove the switch from the pedal assy rather than to fight under the dash to get to it.
I just want you to know that I was able to replace my own clutch switch today by myself because of this video. My 2014 Cascadia’s cruise control and jake brake were working off and on then my truck started to not want to start when my clutch was pressed down. I had a hard time getting the new switch seated back in correctly but I kept persisting and all of a sudden it seated as if by miracle. I am truly thankful for your video because it helped me gain the confidence to try and fix it myself. Keep up the good work! ❤️ Jeananne

I have a truck with those problems. Intermittent Jake and using the cruise switch for high idle. I can pump the clutch a couple times and it will start working. Using cruise control is another issue with the anti-collision system.
I had the same problem, changed the clockspring and voila, it is not hard either, take the cover of steering wheel off disconnect the wire, socket number 32m required to uninstall the steering wheel if steering wheel have markings for the alienment it is good if not mark it, remove covers and you can remove the clockspring, make sure you wheels are straight when instaling or uninstaling the steering wheel
I'm having the same issue no cruise or jake; but now it needs a regen and it won't let me do it. Could this be related to the same issue? Is it safe to idle the truck for a few hours till mechanic arrives 🤔

I just tried it and sometimes the fan comes on when I try the engine brake also but the engine brake doesn’t engage. Do you know what it could be? I took to a mechanic and they hooked up the computer and the engine brake was working at the time so they couldn’t tell me what was wrong.

I have a Dd15 and its more then likely going to be the jake selenoid which is inside the engine with the valves.. im going to end up replacing that and the harnesses while they got it open

My suggestion would be, check the Jake brake command with the DDDL software while you are driving the truck using the Jake brake. That was you are going to see which command is the one that is not responding properly to the manual command. But just a quick question. Does the cruise control work normally?
Francisco Amaya, yes the cruise control works fine. I also notice that the cruise control doesn't wanna work sometimes, until I press the break pedal once and then the cruise control works again.

Constantin: After checking with my mechanic we found that my EGR actuator was almost burnt. It was stuck against the bolt And wouldn’t spin properly. After we put new version EGR actuator my engine break start working. 2. I also have rough idle and I ask my mechanic to check fuel quantity valve, but he said that if this would be the problem the truck would give codes for fuel quantity valve. And I don’t have codes. So I wanted to ask you what else can it be? My engine going up and down rough idle and sometimes on high rpm it’s kind of choking that three mechanics told me it’s not a problem but I am still not comfortable with this sound of my engine. Left can you recommend please?
No! My mechanic said if there is no code for it, that means it’s ok. That’s why I am waiting to ask you. Was there code for valve in the truck you were fixing? Or you just changed it without the code?
Miscommunication, this could be caused by a bad steering wheel switch panel or wiring, a bad module switch Field, bad cab wiring, water in cab or a faulty CPC.

Le cambié el manifold donde conectan las mangueras de aire en el dash y lo conecté igual manguera verde,roja ,etc todo igual pero ahora cuando quiero usar el cruise control no se activa ,pero le piso el freno y le muevo el botón para activarlo i se activa el cruise control pero cuando piso el freno ,que lo normal es cuando uno pisa el freno se desactiva .gracias por la atención prestada atte jose

Cambiar the automatica a cambio y la option de arraranca que no tenga que comfirmar que hay una transmmision automatica. Si no puede have eso, trate de buscar una computadora que sea the otro camion igual pero que tengo transmmision standard de fabrica

You can by pass your clutch switch by using on off on switch very simple and save money to buy dam switch forever

The clutch switch is the most common cause of that.
Check with the DDDL software the jake brake functions to get a better idea.

You have to change the parameters of the computer to make them work.

Me too. I replaced the clutch switch. Still nothing. Did u ever figure it out?
Please answer this question for me,
I have a 2011 Cascadia with a Cummins isx.
Cruise control works fine all the time,
I do not have idle control,
But my jake brake works sometimes. I always get power to the jake brake switch, I know because the light comes on every time I engage it from the steering wheel button. But the jake brake doesn’t always work even though the switch is getting power.
I already replaced the clutch switch and it did NOT solve the issue. Any advice would be great, thanks.
