This song got me through my father's passing. I had so much rage and sadness, this song was so cathartic.
This song is brutal anger put down on paper. Just fury in its purest form.

This song is about being confused in rage while going through a loss of a loved one. Wanting revenge on anyone and anything. It's a remarkable thing to capture in someone. To see them turn from calm and content to hell bent on revenge.
This song is great but you should react to some of there older songs like Deliver Me, Siren Song, Romance is Dead, Dream Run, Idols and Anchors 🤘🏼just to name a few.

MIW is in my top 10 metalcore bands! Lately I've been listening to their songs "Thoughts and Prayers" and "Headache" on a daily basis.
I've been to many concerts. There are few bands that can match the same intensity of a Parkway Drive show.

I would highly recommend checking out the final song in album Reverence this song is off of, "The Colour of Leaving." Ideally, I would say check out the full album in order to get the full effect. It's a roller coaster for sure. But if you listen to both songs, I think you'll get a different perspective on Wishing Wells and maybe a new appreciation.
The song is about a close friend they lost. The video was shot with Winston hanging upside down, to accentuate neck and facial vascularity for maximum projection of emotion and theatrical effect.

The lead singer Winston said that during their writing of this album, him and a lot of his bandmates experienced many losses with friends and family, this song in particular he said was just an outlet of frustration anger sadness and desperation, he basically was telling God and the devil to come face him because he was placing the blame on them, they were his outlet or rage and everything. #WISHINGWELLS #PWD

This concert had one off the best mosh and circle pits I ever had, metal moshpits are so different to pop moshpits because everyone is nice and helps you back up.

This song is about grief, or specifically anger which is one of the stages. I think I heard Winston was actually hanging upside down in the video.

This songs about loss and confusion.. trying to find somebody or something to blame, wanting answers and not getting them from God or the devil. Also getting tired of everybody wishing you well.. hence the line " drown you in your wishing wells" 👍
I see that line as him seeing the devil and god as only existing because people believe they do, therefore they are basically in a wishing well of sorts. He is “killing gods” because they have taken someone he loves without reason or an explanation from them, so he no longer believes they exist “the devil and god have died inside me”. That’s how you kill a god

Yeah... Winston wrote this one after a friend of theirs committed suicide.
That's one of those things that you'll never get closure or answers on, but he's saying that he's called out to God for some anyway. Not getting an answer, this song is basically him saying "then what the hell good are you then?"

'Wishing Wells' is a fantastic song!
I'm not too keen on the lyrics, but I can sorta understand the feeling. The music video may be fairly simple, but it's really powerful and conveys the message and the emotions that show in this sort of scenario!
Personally, I prefer 'Crushed'. However, 'Wishing Wells' is great (so much energy), and then there's 'Bottom Feeder'. I suppose I'll have to mention 'Boneyards' and 'Deadweight' as well (#olderhits)!
