I love just how much respect Peter is given here. While all the other street level heroes are like “Meh, shit happens.” Spider-Man holds him self and his friend to a higher standard. Which is why Matt and others refer to Peter as “The Best of Us”.
There's also the fact that Peter is ambiguously religious coded- Sometimes, he's Coded heavily as Jewish (the read I prefer personally) but sometimes he's heavily Coded as Catholic. This moment is like someone you go to church with telling you you're falling off your own path and need to get your shit together. It's incredible

Peter B is even shown crushing a glass wrapped in cloth at his wedding in Spiderverse, which is an explicitly Jewish tradition. I don't think Marvel will ever specifically label Peter as Jewish, or even as Catholic in runs where he's framed that way. However, I think the coding and framing is explicitly there; and comics have always had heavy influence from Jewish American culture because so many early comics writers were Jewish.

The funny thing about this is, this actually happens in a what if issue from 1989. In this though he kills kingpin. Though in this version, Spider-Man isn't able to help him, and Marc goes mad in guilt. He ends himself by exploding with hobgoblin. I recommend this comic for any daredevil fans.

My most favorite part about Spider-Man running up on Daredevil was Daredevil commenting on how powerful Spidey's own body is. Daredevil can see and feel the vibrations his body gives off, just being able to see how screwed he was to be right in front of Spider-Man

So Lady Death grants Peter's wish to turn back the clock right before his death, allowing him to live and save the family he was trying to save when he was killed.
If anyone thinks this is a little out of character for Peter, don’t worry. We patch things up later with Spidey even admitting he wasn’t at his best. Daredevil responded in a touching way by revealing his identity to Spider-Man, which caused Peter to remember him all over again.

I really didn’t like that Matt really killed a man and then got over it, this would have been a cool what if, but characters like Matt should NEVER break their code, EVER, the dude should have been comatose with his life in the balance or permanently brain damaged or something so the consequence of force without precision was still there but without actually murdering someone than being like “okay, still need to be a hero” like yea he struggled but he really just kept being a hero, and that’s just nooot right. Literally everything in the story that happened could have been the same if the dude was paralyzed or brain damaged or in a coma

Doesn't fight, doesn't judge, just sympathizes and provides a mature and healthy solution that in the long run will make sure this doesn't get worse. Spidey knows the feeling of unintentional blood staining his hands, and the proper course of action is to take a breather.
That's often been something I've thought about, how the hero's jump about and beat the living snot outta people without winding up accidentally killing anyone. Sometimes, all it takes is one wrong hit and someone could die, due to hitting their head on something or from having a medical condition the hero has no knowledge of.

I just finished "The Man Without Fear" comic and Daredevil had absolutely no problem with killing badguys, so where did the idea thatnhe doesn't kill come from? He doesn't kill innocent people but that's it.

i actually paused this clip a few times to read what Matt said about Peter. He said Peter is Impossibly quiet but has a strong Heartbeat. He then says Peter is PURE power. That gave me chills. Spidey is Dangerous🥶

That scene was the end of my attempt with Zdarsky's Daredevil run. Wasn't liking it before, but this scene made it very clear the book was not for me.

While many people will say they understand what you are going through, Spider-Man is the only one who actually does, he knows that it was just an accident and Matt won’t make it right by punishing himself further.

So Lady Death grants Peter's wish to turn back the clock right before his death, allowing him to live and save the family he was trying to save when he was killed.
If anyone thinks this is a little out of character for Peter, don’t worry. We patch things up later with Spidey even admitting he wasn’t at his best. Daredevil responded in a touching way by revealing his identity to Spider-Man, which caused Peter to remember him all over again.
Just another notch on the "add person delusional bias by a writer in current year" wall. No wonder why marvel/disney is desperate enough to bring RDJ back.
This is why I like Spider-Man. Helps others despite life not being to kind to him.

I really didn’t like that Matt really killed a man and then got over it, this would have been a cool what if, but characters like Matt should NEVER break their code, EVER, the dude should have been comatose with his life in the balance or permanently brain damaged or something so the consequence of force without precision was still there but without actually murdering someone than being like “okay, still need to be a hero” like yea he struggled but he really just kept being a hero, and that’s just nooot right. Literally everything in the story that happened could have been the same if the dude was paralyzed or brain damaged or in a coma

Spidey once again proving that there's many reasons why he's 'the best of us'. Doesn't fight, doesn't judge, just sympathizes and provides a mature and healthy solution that in the long run will make sure this doesn't get worse. Spidey knows the feeling of unintentional blood staining his hands, and the proper course of action is to take a breather.

That's often been something I've thought about, how the hero's jump about and beat the living snot outta people without winding up accidentally killing anyone.
Sometimes, all it takes is one wrong hit and someone could die, due to hitting their head on something or from having a medical condition the hero has no knowledge of.

Bruh I’m so confused why would he be in trouble for self defense? Is this some weird New York thing? I feel like most states have self defense laws. Even if he was in trouble for running from the scene of a crime most cops wouldn’t waste their time trying to catch the killer of a serial thief.
