Carl has to be the best online teacher of guitar. He really takes the approach of teaching a song that makes even the most difficult or easy songs seem do able to such a wide variety of guitar players. Many great guitarist are not great teachers. In Carl you get both an amazing guitar player and an amazing tutor the price of one. And he even does this for FREE!!!!!

I remember somebody asking me in sixth grade what my favorite song was and I told them it was this song. I’m just glad looking back that my younger self still had pretty decent taste in music lol. This was also long before I ever played guitar and I’m pretty happy that this has some cool guitar stuff in it even though it’s basically a pop song.

Power chord slides, d/f, the hammer ons were instructive. My only change: instead of a 5 finger C at the end of the verse, I play an open C at the same fret position because I like the starker melodic shift it makes after the F power chord.
