I just bought a 2021 Rogue Vengeance Armored 4007 with a built in NPS Generator, How do I QUIET this thing down. Its way too noisy for me. I wish I could have heard how noisy it was before I bought the camper.
Like you, I wish I had heard how noisy the first generation NPS 5000 generator is. After calling Yamaha, they have a sound box that one can install around the muffler that lowers it 2-3 DB. They also have an Eco inverter ($525) that one can swap out so that it can throttle down to 2900 rpm when not under loads. I haven’t installed either yet. If it is still embarrassingly noisy, I will have to go back to a portable generator. Good luck!
Can't run generator dry camping because the noise it makes annoys everybody around. NPS sucks charge customers onan price and get a peice of junk for Forest river profits..
