- A great return to this pristine and quite remote mine site with my buddy Shane and his pup Utah. We got the chance to explore three different cabins, along with the main mine which was inaccessible on my first trip! The presence of artifacts, machinery and infrastructure at this mine site is just amazing and the fact that it remains pretty much the same as my last trip gives me hope. As always appreciate the support and thanks for watching!
thks for not disturbing or giving location muchly appreciated
What a great find and good explore. It’s always nice to see that many artefacts left behind.
those are split bolts to create ground support...love the baby Skip Bucket ..those look like BLM foam bags ...that stope goes to the upper workings were it daylights ....love them kick switches ...we use them in our mine ....fun explore ...be careful with Dogs in a mine ....keep them vids a coming sonny Jim
anybody would be wise to listen to your advice jeff, you have some of the best videos on you tube
Another great explore!
Shane needs to use that leash that he's carrying, when he goes inside of a mine with his dog. 🐕
That is how Frank from EAM lost his dog Max. 😔
Dogs just don't understand the dangers, and there is no way that it can be conveyed to them.
Oh wow, I didn't know that! I'll have to make sure if I bring a buddy of mine and he has a dog that they should be on a leash. Thanks for the heads up and thanks for watching.
Came to make THIS comment! Frank losing his dog was heart breaking. I feel bad I forgot his name...
Second miner hut seemed to be made from military surplus wood. The term “Special Services” typically refers to the department on base that provides service members with off hours entertainment;such as, gym equipment, movies, hobby shops, local tours, etc.
Same with the "Enlisted Men Only". That refers for non officers in the military. In the Army, enlisted goes from E1 private to E4 specialist, and then up through the Non Commissioned Officers (NCO), That's the sergeants.
I always check the expiration dates on goods and cans when I come across them to gauge the last time a site was used.
That's only useful upto the 1990''s because expiry dates didn't exist, unfortunately we have become mamby pamby, You accept it as normal, But we ate tinned food decades old or go with out, If it tasted "iffy" then you chuck it
Thanks for another interesting vid. Don't mean to be critical, just a gentle reminder that Frank of @Exploring Abandoned Mines lost his dog (early on) due to slipping into/down an ore pass and could not be recovered - heartbreaking!
Utah the blue heeler!
Yep! 🤠👍
Great video. That was so cool. So much neat stuff there
Nice job, very interesting, stay safe
This looks like a lot of fun.
The Log Cabin syrup is from the 1970's
I wonder what year those newspapers were from
That car almost looks restorable. Awesome videos. So many folks just don't understand all of the history, treasures , and just really cool stuff you can find in the desert.
Great video - love the history you (and we) get to see out on these explorations!
Fun explore, thank you! 😊
the homeless in ca would love that bed frame very nice sturdy
Thanx again for the good content......better than most.
Hey guys, Western Mine Detective here….
I love that shit!!!!
Your buddy should have put that helmet on
your videos are getting better, stay safe out there
That air compressor unit still has the ID numbers the Corp used. The Seabees used a very similar system on their equipment. It’s pretty wild to see that out in the middle of nowhere. Hard to tell how many CFM it is from the point of view.
Hi just ran across a video of you doing these mine things and I'll say you know alot for seemingly young but I find that amazing only thing momma bear worry bout is safety always but you seem to be doing good and look forward to watching more from you
Never take a dog in a mine . Holes false floors shafts dynamite. Frank lost his dog down a shaft . Maxx it must of been heart breaking fo him .😮
better the dog than you
@@akh21849 A dog doesn't know the dangers like an experienced mine explore about false floors and holes straight down or shafts possibly hundreds of feet . Just running ahead in the dark .
@@rs2143 still ..... better the dog than a human
@@akh21849 How about better nobody than anyone when it can be prevented? Why should an animal have to pay for a danger that you yourself decide to take?
@@GilbMLRS because that's what dog's instinctively do is run ahead of their owners.... all of my dogs have. So if I decide to go on a hike and the dog gets bit by a snake I should just hole up in my house to keep him and I safe.... or not take him on a car ride just because I might be hit and be in an accident? You phobia's and worries are not mine.
You're living the dream! Wish I lived out west. There's only urban exploring in illinois. I bet doing the research finding these places is good fun too. I need to get out west!
Great video! Thumb up, subbed and shared. Utah is awesome! My Camper is a lot like him.
Cabins of miners reminds of Bodie, CA miners town.
Another awesome explore Jerith! The 3 black bags you found were filled with insulation - probably left over from BLM when they gate or close the mines. Someone probably didn't want to carry them back to the vehicle so just tossed them. Keep finding the great stuff! It is getting fewer and fewer in numbers.
Seems like pancake syrup is popular with miners. I've seen lots of you explorers find TONS of syrup. I've seen multiple gallon cans found in mines.... Like multiple OLD metal cans of it in one mine!
The coolest was a can of syrup SHAPED like a log cabin!
In the old days you didn't have to refrigerate the ingredients, you see a lot of condensed milk cans also, plus even older there were glass bottles shaped like log cabins, but they held liquor
A pal of mine visited the first mine adit several years ago. He found a wood ore cart just inside the portal. The mine is located inside a Wilderness Area. He returned a few years later and discovered that someone had driven into the Wilderness and stole the cart.
Why do people have to be so lame

I don’t know why everyone’s annoyed about the dog going along. When I was growing up my dog would always go with my friends and me into the woods/exploring. My dog was never on a leash or chained up. I never even took him for walks, he did that himself, and would regularly bring home rabbits and opossum that he caught. Most dogs can take care of themselves
I think people were just worried for the dogs safety. Besides, hunting wild animals is how they carry diseases. Our dogs in my grandparents home are working dogs too but they stay outside because they kill disease carrying animals.
The concern over the dog is that they hadn't been in that mine before and to let that dog run free is a careless thing to do. No one knows what's around the next corner, that shaft may have a sudden drop that goes many feet down if that dog fell in they may not have the means to retrieve it. even if they could get down to the dog it could be to bring up a dead friend. Can you understand that being an annoyance? That is one of many DANGERS of going into a mine!
Just Karens being Karens.
And if he couldn't you wouldn't be so smug about it now because he would have suffered the same fate
@@jasminerathod9503All wild animals are diseased that's why you cook them thoroughly, This rare steak is because we "domesticated" them free from disease which Usally isn't transferred to humans
5:52 there running some 🦎
@GRosa: please see "exploring abandoned mines and unusual places". He lost his dog in a mine explore down a deep shaft while exploring a mine.
A note now to this video, please consider wearing safety helmets when exploring mines....based on the USMC equipment you saw previously, and the cabin with the elisted men only sign, makes me think this minecwas operated by the military🤔
thank you ALL stay safe
THAT WAS A RUN SHOW REALLY!!!
Love healers. I have 2 blues.
Hey man I know about a bunch of old mines in northern Nevada if you make the trip up I can point you in the right direction
Pretty sketchy ladder and never know when you’re going to trigger a cave in
Still dudes ..ozy Daz piece...
I think we live in the same area, more or less.
What were they mining there?
Way cool... Don't EVER reveal where this is!
I hope you went to IN and Out Burger, LOL! That was very cool. That blue lid on the shelf was actually the top of an ammo can painted blue. Probably .30 call ball ammo depending on vintage. I also think that car burned inside.
What happened to the new video, I was watching it and suddenly it said "Video is unavailable" half-way through. It was a good video.
My bad, I meant to release it next week on Monday. Sorry about that I thought I changed the date.
@@WesternMineDetective All good, I'll check it out then. :)
thats not trash.....@20:05. I'd go back and look at that real close...you may find money....Thanks for the videos.
why is everything always broken to pieces
👏👏👍👍👊👊🏆🏆🙏🙏🙏🙏
I like the look of your watch. I was wondering what brand of watch it is, if you dont mind sharing. I always love watching your videos. My wife and I explore the southern Arizona region and know of a good size mine that may interest you.
It's a Garmin Instinct, there's also the Garmin Instinct Solar. It's a great watch for what I do tracks elevation gain, distance, steps, heart rate, etc. And appreciate that! I've done a couple in AZ, would love to know which one you're talking about.
@Western Mine Detective very cool. Thanks for sharing what kind of watch you have. Ill see if I can message you the location of the mine.
I think someone burned that car, given the caved in roof and the fact that the fenders have paint on them.
Have you ever seen a mine that you thought you could step right in a start working and make money?
Yes I actually have. There are two in particular that were full of galena and the other had huge veins of limonite that looked very promising.
Great video but again it would be nice to know the expiration dates on the food in the fridge… I know you said 80s or 90s but it would just be cool to know the actual date.
Well, I'll just pull it up on my computer at work right now, and get paid to watch it.
For a guy who has explored so many mines and mine camps you sure seem to be pretty green when it comes to identifying the antiques
Man I would love to put a skeleton in the refrigerator that would scare the hell out of most people and a open can of dog food for fragrance. 😮😅😅😂😂
Amazing those artifacts at 12:30 have escaped the ravages of all those firearm fanatics looking for vulnerable targets to pepper with bullet holes, regardless of their historical significance.
Cattle Dog. Basically a shark with legs and a bad attitude!
Put a leash on the dog if you care about your pet.
when you enter an old mine you will always leave a dollar outside or any currency you will hide it somewhere so there will be no danger when you enter
What’s wrong with you letting the dog wander around in that mine. That’s just messed up.
It's not my dog. Full disclosure looking back on it he should have used the leash on her, either that or leave her outside
Not a fan of letting a dog go in a dangerous mine. Just sayin.
