I found your website again! I am having fun just trying everything out again. I only played a few songs before, now it's a music playground for me. I play Viola since 2009, I am rusty despite playing smoothly still now. It is very fun and I am getting back into the swing of things. Also, I love this song. I like to grab my Viola playing along haha!
👏 Bravo! Engaging, moving, riveting, gripping! A truly great performance, cleverly orchestrated and exceptionally played. I've been waiting patiently a long time for the sheet music. It is now here - Yippee! Thank you, Fiddlerman. I plan to play this tune on all my string, brass and woodwind treble clef instruments - especially on my fiddle. 👍😊♫ 🎻
@@1stfiddlerman You're welcome, Fiddlerman. Your sheet music in the treble clef is always a great bonus. This tune also sounds great with my other instruments, especially on my Bb clarinet and Bb trumpet. 😁
Sorry Darrell. I agree. I have a plan to semi retire early. Then I could dish these out like nothing. I just wish I had more time. My job keeps me busy every second.
Thank you for posting something from Fiddler on the Roof. The opening theme to the movie would be more difficult than this one for me at least. Now I have a new piece to practice. 😉
Hey Fiddlerman! I love your videos and all that you do. How do you like that shoulder pad? Do you find that it smothers any amount of tone from the violin? Or does it keep resonance well?
Thank you. So I know the theory. If you touch the back of the instrument to anything, you'll dampen the sound (restrict vibration). However, I'm able to equal or top any violinist I know as far as volume is concerned when playing in groups or testing the same instruments as others. I believe that if you don't squeeze the violin, and since most of that sponge is close to the rib and back block anyway, I don't think I dampen the sound much at all. Sometimes I don't even put my jaw down on the violin, it's just close. Also, I've known a lot of great violinists who do the same.
@@1stfiddlerman okey thx. So when im playing on the e string and i have to play a g and then f sharp, i cant play the f sharp without my second finger moving away. any tips for that, i dont know how well i explanied myself
@@nilbadia2936 I would try playing scales up and down while always leaving the fingers down to get used to that. So you only remove one finger at a time when coming down. Never lift the fingers when going up. Try that for a while then go back to the piece in which you want to prepare for the following note with.
