The link for the calipers goes to a rotor instead. There's so many to chose from. I want to do this to my 79 with ls swap. Just not sure which calipers to get.
Just to verify, (I am installing the same upgrade) I do not need to reinstall the backing plates, correct? I don't even know what their purpose is actually. But I assume dust or heat?
I saw a product on summit that was a front/rear disc master cylinder set up with the traditional proportioning valve. My rear is a factory disc which was a package you could order back then, so it makes sense they would have factory replacement options for discs front and rear

Hopefully reviving this thread. Thank you, I followed your recipe and will be assembling this week. What flexible brake line did you use?
Very helpful. Do they have this kit for 1987 camaro?
I wish :( I have a 92
Absolutely love the video! Very helpful. An man looks great!
That shim is to take up the space where a brake dust shield usually goes

what are you going to use for a master cylinder? proportioning valve?

What is guidelines for alignment
Do you know what aftermarket calipers would fit this spindle/rotor combo? If you wanted to go Wilwood or Baer brand?
Basically anything that would fit on a c5 corvette caliper bracket. I know baer makes plug and play options, not sure who else does
Did you find torque specs for the 3 bolts on the backside that hold the hub in?
@@juststiffler I haven't even looked yet. Mine is just mocked up for now. Once I do the final install I will be looking up all the torque specs
I have the same set up but I’m running 2016 ats performance 4 piston calipers and pads with 2006 z06 rotors
the hub bearing is for 14-17 corvette, CPP spindles are for 98-04 corvettes, this hub bearing FW412 fits perfectly?
That short bolt is because they use the same bolt set for 67-69 firebirds where the short bolt is used to hold the wheel bearing in on the bottom
oh ok. Yea I was kind of confused about that
Could I buy that spindle and use on c4 corvette suspension
Where do you live? i'm not going to ship it
The wheel studs won’t work with the factory lug nuts. I found that out today.😞
Are they not 4x3/4?
Wheel studs are metric, your lugs are standard. Have to replace the studs or have matching metric nuts just for front
Brake caliper part number please.
what brake caliper is that ? #part number?
Great vid
thanks man!
