An ode to the Minecraft OST

Minecraft is one of those games that truly let you be yourself, immersed in the deep gameplay that is supported by the amazing soundtrack. What i especially love about the sound design is the resemblence to rainfall in many of the tracks. Rain is something that is calming, everything stops and everything is quiet...except the sound of water fitting the earth. The OST really encapsulates the game in this way, its nostalgic, its serene and a little bit lonely just like the player.

The simpler times, building brick mansions, capturing wild animals, discovering spawn eggs. Minecraft was beautiful.

while the historical breakdown was a bit weak, the video was overall an excellent thought piece on how C418 has impacted the game. very beautifully put together with the in-game camerawork and well-written script. really hope this starts to gain more traction, you deserve it.
