That is true, Jessica was 11-12 years old when she entered SM Entertainment, but Krystal was 5-6 years old. So Jessica will spend a few more years in the United States than Krystal.
7. Thank you so much Chris, I could be able to improve my English and my Mandarin as well because of your videos. Merry Xmas to everyone!
I'm in the middle of watching the video, sweets is common expression in US, represents things contain sugar, you can say I like sweets or I don't like sweets
I don't think anyone would say 'But let's get started' In that situation. It is used obviously but not in that way. 'So lets get started' is more correct in this circumstance.
I did a mini presentation last month. It was only about 3-4 munites. One of the comments from my teacher was that I should avoid the high tone, which I used for almost every sentences. She said that it sounded like I was not so sure for what I was talking about. She is American, but she still thinks that a high pitch means more like uncertainty. I never thought that it would be a problem to have the up-speak before that. I lived in Australia for 3 years, and moved to the US this year. It seems so natural for me to speak and to hear everyone speaking like that. I am so confused now.😑
As a teacher, I can assure viewers that this is a study of MISTAKES in spoken English, not the real language. If you were guided and instructed correctly, you would lose the mistakes and just "speak Engish." There is no need to TEACH mistakes as "common English."
Interesting you’re teaching Chinese speakers to do some of the things Americans are taught in school and in the professional world to AVOID. Women in the workplace have to learn to banish upspeak in their speech if they want to be taken seriously as they progress to positions of leadership/management, and everyone is taken more seriously when they banish filler words (um, like, you know, actually) especially when public speaking. Is it really beneficial to teach non-native English speakers to speak like American teens?
Thank you for the video. By the way, there's a typo at 0:32 pronounciation --> pronunciation (Mentioning since some people may be using for language learning).
hey chris, nice job on the video. it's really interesting to see that the older sister sounds distinctively more natural in not only her word choice but also her accent. not sure what it is, but the younger sister has somewhat of an accent (not sure if i'm the only one that feels this way... its not a korean accent but hearing her speak i can tell that the person speaking is asian). also, on an unrelated note, i'm so jealous of your ability to speak spanish fluently... he estudiado español por mucho tiempo pero todavía no puedo hablar nada jaja feliz navidad mano
that might explain why Jess is a bit more confident compared to Krys
Ofcourse krystal is introvert
I thought it was the other way around. I thought Jessica left for Korea first and krystal was not old enough to go yet.
@@Weeping-Angel that is true, but jess was already 10-11 when she entered SM.

Krystal

J&K I love them
yeah they seem really cool!
SAMEEE KRYSTAL HAS BEEN MY #1 EVER SINCE I WATCHED HEIRS BACK IN THE DAYS 😍😩

@Irish Lu I once had to be cast for a role with Dublin accent in a school play, but my Glasgow accent got mixed in, I still can't separate the two.
thank you for upload this video, I am verry like Jessica and Krystal😍😍😍😍.....and Merry Christmas.

im looking forward to these twins analysis for a long time! appreciate it and merry Christmas!
Aron!
I'm in the middle of watching the video, sweets is common expression in US, represents things contain sugar, you can say I like sweets or I don't like sweets
Merry Chrismas!!!! love the language, hope I can find time to learn Chinese next year.
I don't think anyone would say 'But let's get started' In that situation. It is used obviously but not in that way. 'So lets get started' is more correct in this circumstance.
As a native English speaker never noticed the can vs can't pronunciation distinction - but now that you pointed it out -- that is so true!
Jessica( SNSD ) my ot9 heart is screaming
Jessica !! So awesome
For American born, the younger one has a pretty thick Korean accent. I can tell shes Korean just by listening.
Random Name she went back when she was 6 so it kinda makes sense
And also Merry Christmas Chris!

Krystal has dual Korean and U.S. citizenship, and Jessica has only U.S. citizenship. So Krystal is Korean and American, Jessica is Korean-American.
Eric is a totally native English speaker

Krystal ❤️❤️❤️
Omg, my favorite singers. I love this video.
Diana Chua Tiffany
