    Plot Summary:
The story begins with Gulabi (Umashri) who is good at her job and she is a very popular midwife in her village. She is very kind hearted woman but then fate plays a cruel game to her as her husband Moosa (Krishnamurthy) falls for another woman and deserts Gulabi. Ironically, he lives around in the same area as Gulabi with his second woman. However, Gulabi remains unfazed by this and carries on with her life to the fullest. Apparently, she has a keen interest in films and often takes a boat to go to the other side and watch movies. In this process, Gulabi does not hesitate to forego her work at times. Meanwhile, even the people in the village start feeling queery about her given her status and keep away from her. One day, Gulabi gets an idea and she buys a color TV in her house and also gets a cable connection. In no time, the Hindu women break the ice and start speaking to her in a nice way. Even the children of the village start visiting Gulabi’s house and watch TV. Slowly but surely, even Moosa is bitten by the bug and he ends up at the door of Gulabi to watch the television.
Gulabi is a passionate cinema lover in a deserted island who loves watching movies. A family gifts her a television set which becomes her only priority in life. During the Kargil war the villages had to flee from the village including Gulabi. In this situation Gulabi has to select between her television set and herself? Watch this movie to know more. #kannada
