    When I look for videos to help me (clueless) fix my sprinter, it's always the wrong engine or it's a dodge, quite often useless, but you have the same engine as mine and in a short but good video you have answered so many of my questions that I'm ordering a new water pump now! Thanks
    Also, with the tensioner, as others have said use a socket to pull the tension off and there is a hole that you can stick a 3 inch nail / bolt whatever, to keep the tension off, much longer than that and It gets in the way of the belt replacement

      Thanks man! Glad I could help and thanks for advise in future (hopefully won’t need to do it again 🤣)

    On a 2014 4cyl it takes a 5/16 hex-Allen wrench at the center of the fan and I used a pipe wrench to hold the arbor. I thought I would mention it since there is nothing on RUclips on this 4cylinder.

    You use a 17mm spanner/socket on casting in tensioner and rotate it to release tension for serpentine belt removal.

      I dunno why but I couldn’t get the spanner on to begin with was a nightmare couldn’t get the purchase on it to actually adjust the tensioner. Thanks for the info tho!

    Hi hope you can help as I am just about to replace a locked Viscous fan clutch , at 2:19 you say that its not a reverse thread so to remove the Fan I would use an 8mm Hex and go anti clockwise to remove it ?

    • @TrackAndBeyond
      @TrackAndBeyond  2 года назад

      That’s it bud yea. I thought they where all reverse thread but this one wasn’t! So yea just undo the bolt in the usual way

    Do not lay a used viscose fan down, it needs to be stood up!

      Didn’t know that, what’s the reason for it?

    What torque did you use to Tighten?

    • @TrackAndBeyond
      @TrackAndBeyond  2 года назад

      The torque setting I found was 20nm. However there where a few different specs I found so just a warning

      @@TrackAndBeyond So you tightened to 20nm? That seems alot.

    • @TrackAndBeyond
      @TrackAndBeyond  2 года назад +1

      Go for 10nm then, I used 20 but like I say iv seen 10, 14 & 20nm as being listed

      A 3 inch nail fits in a hole to keep it the tension off and not get in the way while you put the belt in place, then reverse your tip
