The hardest part for most fights but Merab more than anyone in ufc history, is mentally preparing for the guy with the highest wrestling pace and cardio ever seen. That alone has to be mentally exhausting to think about. I really think that's why omalley lost. He didn't have it in his mind he could fight defend and strike how he wants without gassing out way before the fights over and being embarrassed.
Also merabs team had a game plan that Tim suga and co didn’t anticipate. They trained for single legs because that was historically how merab went for 90% of his takedowns. Merab switched it up which suga said he wasn’t as prepared for. Also merabs game plan of sporadic movements, flailing his hands in the air just being extra jumpy and wiggly -jumping in and out of distance was hard for suga to get a read on. Suga didn’t trust his stoking for fear of getting taken down and held the rest of the round which in hindsight might not have mattered. Lastly, as you mentioned, suga was constantly trying to preserve his gas tank because of merabs reputation as the cardio machine therefore he didn’t try very hard to get up and sacrificed too many rounds just letting merab lay and pray. I think there’s a case to be made that suga was the fresher fighter in that 5th round. Merab just circled away from him appeared to be running away the whole round. Especially after the body kick that hurt him. Sorry for the novel lol

Great intentional breakdown! Awesome musical talent and those puppies-love them! Merab holds the belt for a reason; he's an exceptional fighter, and no reasonable argument can be made against that. Umnar is well rounded
Timbo...you & sean need to go.to some other gyms to.do some training, go work with bryce & colby on his ground game....idk how hes going to level up if he's always in his comfort zone in tims gym,, familiar training partners, always doing the same drills, remaining stagnet...
Bryce, colby, train with conor. Or dp & gamrot at ATT
You need to focus on Sean not losing again.. lol
Umar will beat Merab soon
😂😂
why Sean and Tim call Umar as Umnar??? 😅😅😅
Where is the X Factor in what they do Tim?
I see excellent conditioning, an entry level requirement ANYONE can achieve. I see high tempo, if not everyone can maintain it they can counter n stifle it. I see leading the dance but I only see drilled to death basics coupled with habitual disguise with decent variation.
Its paint by numbers.
If it can be measured it can be managed. If it can be managed it can be countered.
Sandhagen done well defensively but he had no effective counter attack/s to flow into, it looks like he didn't go the extra mile yet. He is still expecting something to be handed to him at the championship level instead of getting his black belt in CrAzY behind the scenes & making sure he leaves no stone un-turned along the way to being undeniable.
Sandhagen still hasn't fulfilled his potential but the other guy is just about as good as he can be, at painting by numbers.
Usually hate bible length comments but this is good read
Sandhagen's biggest problem is his pillow hands. Guy has one of the best movement and technique, but strikes with a power of toddler.
@@lll-qr4yuhe should use knees, elbows, and high kicks more, effective against Frankie, Song, and Marlon. But set it up with the footwork and hands
Its going to be so close. Umar by decision but i think merab might really take it to him rd 4/5
