Definitely I do like an old tool I've got most of my grandad's old tools I will never throw them away. And definitely they were made to last and to be serviced most of stuff today is throw away buy again
@@intelligenttinkering Exactly. My father is an old house builder and because his 50 years on the business lots of old tools are still around. I've learned a lot from my father, to repair something if possible for one.
i get a lot of stuff from my communal bin area. its amazing what people throw out. earlier in the week i spotted a number of items outside a house which was going to be burnt. i ended up getting a 3 x 5 foot solid oak table with legs detached (4 x 4 inch). this with be a restoration project and will be worth a fair bit of money. loving the channel.
Definitely people do throw some good stuff away. Throw away Society. You should do a video on restoring it will be good to watch glad you're enjoying the channel. thank u
Restore!! Please 🙏 Don't make a lamp!!🙂👍👍 Good to see you again and you have plenty of items that I would be interested in!! Andrea and Critters. ..XxX...
The grooved bit from the clear handled ratchet screwdriver is for drilling holes. The green jig like thing is familiar to me but at the moment it is not coming to the front of my mind. I think it's part of something else and is an attachment for a drill. If or when I remember I'll let you know.
Ahhh A slippery slope indeed keeping useful stuff from old mens sheds, nobody reseats taps anymore, some useful stuff indeed for that once in a blue moon job, 1959 sixpence. Year of my birth. That type of Vernier is always on, take the battery out when not in use. Thought you had been quiet . YT had unsubbed you.
Very good haul! Many of those old tools are of excellent quality, they used to make tools to serve and last.
