Charlie MacLean joins Iain for a rare insight into the workings of a small farm distillery and an easy to follow explanation of the whisky making process. Filmed during Iain's time as Master Blender at Edradour.

With all distilleries in Scotland, how did the Scots NOT starve to death. What grain was left to make bread? Feed farm animals? Distilling grain alcohol takes lots of grain, or corn in USA. Lots of calories , that are not going into stomachs, but concentrated into spirits.
