Also, Letter From Death Row fucked me up almost as much First Day of the End of My Life on the first listen. Your music is incredible and I'm so very grateful to get to listen to it. Well...I WAS FUCKING RIGHT! Wonderful, truly wonderful. His songs speak a truth I share, deep inside of me, but never realized I needed to say out loud, not that I had the lyrical talent to do it. I know I will cry more than a little as soon as the vinyl will start spinning and Danny's voice will come out of my headphones.
Another Man's grave and Letters from deathrow are by far my two favorites off this album. All of them are are great but, for me songs like those two with just an acoustic guitar and a voice just hit me harder. I can just feel/relate to those without the extra instruments or having the sound of a specific genre.
Laying here in the dark in Chelmsford, MA with the blinds completely open and watching the rain come down....this was the perfect timing for me to run into this album! Its been so long since I've found an entire album that I could play all the way through the first time and not feel a need to skip a track.
