@@ToThePointReviewsComparisons You are welcome, you deserve it man! Really professional. I also have P30 Pro so I would have 2 questions. Do you tend to use more the mobile camera app or the DJI app for videos? Also, how do you turn of EIS in the DJI app?
I actually end up using Filmic Pro app as it allows for a lot more control including turning on and off the EIS. Unfortunately that's a paid for app and not necessarily cheap either. Though on the positive side of things it give you control over things like video data rate, lens switching, EIS, manual exposure, manual focus and so on. Hope this helps :)
Yes, but not in the past 2 months as I have been working on my new review for the Sony A7C camera. But overall I do use the gimbal to record personal / family moments. Especially because carrying a camera all the time isn't possible. So the gimbal gives me an easy and quick way to capture some quality stuff :)
Thanks Qawi. That's music to my ears. I am still new to the world of RUclips and learning as I go. This is actually my 5th ever video review since I started the channel. So when I get comments like yours its very assuring and motivating ♥️

Hi Dustin, good question. I actually have a P30 Pro, which is what I have used to shoot videos for this review. Anyhow, yes it's true that Android phones have limited compatibility which is a topic I cover at depth in this review. Anyhow to your question around Mate 30 Pro: Mate 30 Pro has the same compatibility as the Huawei P30 Pro aka almost fully compatible. I prefer DJI over other brands as their app design AND product design ergonomics are way better than other brands. I wouldn't have recommended DJI if you owned OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung etc because their cameras have sub par compatibility with the DJI app. DJIs official document about compatibility: dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI%20OM%204/DJI_OM_4_Mobile_Phone_Compatibility_List_en2.pdf Hope this helps :)

great video; i read x articles and hesitated because i just took the SAMSUNG S21 ULTRA 5G. I have an osmo and ronin equipment etc but I want to be able to combine with my smartphone and a stabilizer. What is the best stabilizer with a SAMSUNG S21 ULTRA 5G when you want to make professional videos of all types, thank you very much

i think Zhiyun Smooth 4 but application and large smartphone like a Galaxy S21 UltraMax weighs more than 210g is imptossible, thanks , i accept to go pro stabilizer for smartphone

I am disgusted because the functions are top on DJI OM 4 and I could not buy a phone for 2 years ...
Hi Agence, glad that you liked the video and thanks for leaving a comment. S21 Ultra is a tough one. Especially because it weighs about 230 grams. Technically The OM 4 should be able to handle that weight because it can handle up to 230g ±60. The problem is that DJI Mini App isn't compatible with S21 Ultra (and many many other android phones, which sucks to be honest). You could buy the gimbal and try it with Filmic Pro app which will give you proper controls and more importantly it's a great app if you want to shoot professional stuff. The app supports the gimbal and I think it's a also compatible with s21 ultra. You can easily verify that with a companion app provided by filmic pro to check compatibility.
Anyhow, back to your original question i.e. best gimbal for S21 Ultra.. unfortunately there aren't any mobile gimbals that I know of which will support the weight and height of S21 Ultra. So I think your best bet might be to check if Filmic Pro is fully compatible with S21 Ultra and use that with S21 Ultra and DJI OM4. Shame that DJI have focused on Android phones considering S21 is a great phone. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out should you have more questions or want to discuss this further. Hi Leslie, I don't own this phone and the compatibility document provided by DJI does t specify Poco F1 in its compatibility list. Rather Xiaomi as a whole has limited compatibility wherein it only supports the main camera. It does support 4k and 1080p but no support for slow motion. So I assume.for Poco F1, the compatibility should be similar to xiaomi's MI range. Hope this helps :)

Hi Mohamed, in order to check the current firmware version you need to turn on the gimbal > Open the DJI Mimo app > Launch the Camera on the Mimo app. Once the camera is launched, there should be a 3 dot icon at bottom left or top right (...) Depending on if your phone is in landscape or portrait orientation. Tap that (...) and you should be able to see 'Version'. That's your firmware version. The latest firmware version is: 01.00.07.20 And here's the release notes: forum.dji.com/thread-229465-1-1.html
Fantastic work, thank you! I am using the same equipment, but it's not possible to film smooth videos. It's struggling with the intern image stabilizer. May I ask you how you activate/deactivate EIS on your phone? Thanks a lot
Hi EG, good question. There is no option to turn off EIS when using the in built camera app on the Huawei. It's always enabled by default. Do t quote me on this BUT as far as I remember Huawei P30 Pro doesn't support EIS when in 4k. Either way, if you want a more robust solution then I would suggest that you try Filmic Pro. The app has inbuilt support for the gimbal as well. More importantly it gives you loads of control over video bitrate, focus shift etc etc. Please feel free to reach out should you have more questions. I love taking to my audience and always reply :)
