i've built a couple with parts from the custom saber shop, and i love the quality, even as my first saber i found it very easy and friendly to a beginner. Customer service is exceptional, and Rob Petkau has a ton of instructional videos online to help with various build levels
I've always had a great experience with The Custom Saber Shop as well!
Ultrasabers seems budget friendly, but you click on a $55 lightsaber, pick a few options and by the time you get to the checkout it's like $100
Rice Meme There are some pretty affordable AliExpress lightsabers for dueling that have FX and multiple colors, the company is called TXQsaber
That’s still quite cheep if you keep in mind the quality
@@rrohbot Do you know if they have a saber with smooth swing?
jonteozzy I mean, it’s a random Chinese company on AliExpress, so probably not
@@rrohbot True. I just want to find a budget saber with smooth swing its like The only thing i want. Trying to get my first saber, and trying to find something for a decent price that has smoothswing and is as bright red as I can get it
For first time saber buyers, SaberForge just released their Eco Sabers (Gen4) which are all price-pointed at $119 ($150 with shipping). These all come with a saber blade, and basic sound fonts, as well as flash-on-clash. A good price for what you get. These sabers are an "all in one" option, rather than a build-your-own option.
I was going to buy one, then saw all the horrible reviews, is it worth it? Considering i live in namibia idek of it would arrive
Recon Menace I just bought the Wonderforce Ergoflex and for the price its really worth it
@@ghostobi-wan3583 I know that sometimes SF gets flack for their delivery times, but their product quality seems to be pretty good.
Have your received your gen4? I purchased one back in early December and haven’t received mine yet and am concerned about the build quality of it
@@The_meepolorian I ordered mine on Dec 26th, so I don't expect to get it until mid Feb at the earliest. Their standard build & delivery time right now seems to be 10-12 weeks. I have played around with a couple of eco stunt sabers a friend of mine purchased from SF earlier this year, though, and the quality of those sabers seems really good.
I did one of the saberforge things where I bought my own saber parts and electronics and put it together myself
is it cheaper to do that?
@@Kill_Switch-fz5qy depends on what settings you choose but its ultimately about the same
Im in Europe so I cant go there
That’s awesome.
I would say ultra sabers for a first purchase because of the ease of access. There is a wide variety of sabers and customization options, as well as explanations for everything including instructional videos and a description of what you’re looking at. Also their sabers are relatively cheap if you don’t buy anything over basic or even premium sound. And they often provide coupon codes on the front page of the website. My first saber was one of their $200 mystery boxes and i got lucky with the saber coming with premium sound instead of basic sound
If you're ordering from either SaberForge or Ultrasabers, and I say this from experience, order only their Stunt versions (no sound, light only), and either find a vetted installer (can be found on FB), or learn a new skill and have your hilt installed properly with better electronics. Just my opinion. Love your vids, keeping the community upto date on products, pros and cons, terminology, ect..... keep it up.
Can you explain why, though? I've been planning to buy a saber for dueling and display, but I'm too much of a fanboy to not include sound... I understand $85USD is quite expensive for just basic sounds, but is going through the trouble of installing sound from outside sources really that worth it? Thanks for the time.
@@yuries19 the electronics are dated, and the assembly and soldering looks like a blind chimp just rammed everything in there, then the amount of hot glue and electrical tape to hold everything together is a nightmare, no chassis to protect the overpriced electronics, they are just taped to cheap battery packs no LED retention, your module slides around in the hilt...... I could bore you with more, but it's upto you....... swing by my FB page West Coast Saber Installations, and that is mainly what I do is repair and upgrade Ultrasabers and SaberForge, and SaberForge is a whole other story lol......
Awesome video! Thanks for the tips and info!
After spending too long at saber shopping I finally went with two stunt DOMINIX V5s with tri blazing red, buck puck battery and with a quick release coupler from Ultrasabers.
I love the looks and stuff of fancy hilts, and I did go with not to shabby of sabers (haven’t received them yet) and may weather them and plan to flip the claws, my main purpose is for dueling and saber forms, as I do taekwondo and can use these for creative forms, and just for fun.
I thought about sound, and my lazy side would prefer what I’m used to, a simple single bladed sword, and then I’d be able to afford sound, but since I’ve already got a katana and a couple other swords and plain bo staffs it’d ruin the point, as going with a duel blade/staff quick release gives me many options, plus since my friends don’t have any of these then I could duel with them, since I’ll have two.
I’d love to have any advice, on really anything and especially how to take care of and tips for weathering.
Cheers
Ive got some force fx lightsabers and have been dueling with them on my channel. They can be dueled with
I like my Ultra Sabers, nothing too shiny to worry about dinging up or anything. I wanna try a Saber Forge saber at least once though. I now like the idea of a black hilt and blue leather wrap =] Blue has always been my favorite lightsaber blade color anyway so :P
I chose Kyberlight, mainly due to the amount of colors and smoothswing. I also love the customability
I will buy my first one soon, and honestly ever though Saber Forge has some very bad reviews I just love their designs and I might choose them
Thank you for putting me on to the pachstore
Bought my first saber from Crimson Dawn early Dec 2020, a mystery box. Geeked out so bad when I got it I bought a 2nd saber last day of 2020. So for me, 2020 ended up being a pretty cool year.
My first is an ultrasabers that i'm actually getting in the mail today, and then i have 5 mystery box sabers coming from ultrasabers in the mail tomorrow. So far i've been happy with the order and shipping process, can't wait to see the actual sabers!
Any update or review on the US? Any wins on the mystery boxes?
Menathradiel how was they
My son in law and I both purchased ours from Ultrasabers because they were at DragonCon. I was very happy with the product so I ordered a second one online.
I just purchased my first after looking at many companies, a Master Replica Vader saber from 2005 secondhand. For a thirteen year old item it works perfect. For me, a Star Wars fan first and foremost, not necessarily a lightsaber enthusiast, it was the perfect choice as I was looking for an authentic looking one rather than a generic one from the custom saber companies out there. Yes I know that they do provide ones that can look like the authentic ones and are better for dueling but I didn't want to invest that much into one as I have no interest in the dueling capabilities of them. I want one for what it represents more. Maybe later if I want a custom I will but for now very happy to have my Vader as an Empire fan.
I’m low-key kind of mad she called that light saber rays
Yeah Disney licensed stuff just craps on Star Wars
@Carson Merritt no Obi-wan wasn’t given the saber meaning he stole it so it’s not besides she gave it up and buried it in sand IN SAND
@Carson Merritt I know I’m saying it wasn’t his too take so it was stolen
Ultrasabers are LAUGHABLE. They ALL look like bike pegs 😂😂😂😂
i fricking LOVE the blue leather against the black.
I believe your first lightsaber should be a movie inspired hilt or a hilt that really speaks to you ( like I did with my first being the Saber Forge disciple) and save up and get it with sound. And remember when you're searching customer feedback you will always find more negative than positive. I've had good luck with Saber Forge and ultrasabers along with the Force FX lightsabers.
What is the width of the Sanken 2 crossguard's sideblades?
I missed this because I'm new to this, and so is the saber, but bang-for-buck, I think the Electrum Sabercraft Neophyte looks very promising. Kind of wish I waited a tad longer on buying the Ultrasabers grab bags, considering the backlog they have now.
I looked on the pach store and I had trouble navigating the website. Does the pach store have saber options to remove blades for display?
Amazon has some pretty good sabers and order a saberforge lightsaber off their etsy store it comes way quicker and they respond back faster then the saberforge website
Looking at the light sabers in the market is very cool including when you the videos about those sabers and you always want to get your favorite kind too, but you know what would suck very much, if you *can't* buy it because you *don't have enough* to get it, that would suck ALOT.
I ordered my Graflex CE on May 3rd and im hoping i get it before June but i live in Australia lmao.. But i heard that it's not that busy right now for Ultrasabers so hoping for the best!
Hi there !!! Quick question do you know if the pommels from the ultrasaber fallen order Cal Kestis model can fit into or onto the kybersaber fallen order pack ?
i think the best ones to buy for a beginner is Pach. the lowest price ones are $60 plus shipping which is usually only about $10. this is vastly superior to ultra sabers where even for a $70 saber, if you're anywhere outside the US, it's almost $30 shipping alone plus duties, which Pach doesn't have. also, the Saberforge ones are pretty pricey for beginners. same with the kyberlite and sabertrio. the electrum sabers are also pricy, though the biggest issue i have with them is their website is impossible to navigate
Im really hoping to save some money up and surprise my family with a bunch of mystery sabers for christmas. I tend to like the SaberForge design more, but we will have to see because from what I've seen and heard their shipping can be hit or miss on timing and you said their mystery boxes arent in stock as often. Wouldn't mind UltraSabers, but their hilts seem a bit more stock, not as many options there. Hoping for some really unique hilts for everyone. Maybe I'll see if I cant get like 2 US and 2 SF.
I’m think of of buying and RGB but I have no idea if you can change the corporate of the blade anytime and does it come with the blade or do I have to but it separate if anyone can tell me what the best dueling sound lightsaber is on like Amazon please tell me
go with saber forge, their quality is impeccable, I 100% reccomend
does ultrasabers still convert or sell converted black series?
Vader's vault, and 89 sabers as well
Beginners can't afford Vader's Vault
Am I able to buy from saber forge if I can only pay in pounds(sterling)
Hedge Hack pretty sure, but only if you are prepared for incredibly long shipping (likeSUPER long. MANY weeks. And most of the time they don’t deliver on the day they say. A reviewer waited a full year and a month for theirs.), delays and horrible customer service. Takes them 4 weeks or longer to respond to emails.
The thing for me that im torn between is that saberforge has a great variety of hilts that im interested in but i just hear so much better reviews and experiences as well as price range being better from ultrasabers (those are the two sites I've been looking at) I've also been completely convinced after seeing a video of ultrasabers ultra edge heavy grade blade that their blade is the one i want to get. At this point im not sure if i should get the hilt from saberforge and the blade from ultrasabers. Deciding on a first saber is proving difficult for me lol
I feel the same way, I see this comment from a year ago but I'm going through that right now
@@weezyjr.3027 commenting a year after you because
I bought an ultrasabers, bit of advice, check employee reviews and write to customer service before buying. They used to be terrible at this but it’s better now. Also, the shipping time is complete bs, mine took 7 months and I had to change the order or it would have taken a year. When I did get an email chain with customer service they were really good but being courteous is really important or they ignore you
I’ve been Looking at individual parts to make my own (for lore accuracy )
But I can’t find anything in construction or any blueprints
the only stunt sabers ive seen on ultrasabers is the $75 mystery bag do u know of a canadian version of saberforge the eco's look like an affordable first saber :p? but up tp 16weeks ship time :o
Kevin Monahan all of their sabers are stunt sabers if you look through their inventory
I’m thinking about buying one from Ultrasaber (my very first) and I just wonder, do you get it with sound?
Do u think a galaxys edge lightsaber would be a good first lightsaber
Me and my brother are considering on going with the mystery box from ultra sabers thanks for the vid!
Juan Castellanoz Me and my brother are also considering this. lol
I want to buy that mystery box but shipping is so expensive for me 😬😬
Same! Just bought mine! Check my channel in a week and my video should be up
Juan Castellanoz me tooooo
@Han Solo wait is that legal?!?!
I love ultrasabers and Vader’s vault
what websites do you request for UK people and doesn't have dollars
What’s that saberforge you have there called?
Philosophically, I'm most impressed wkth Electrum .Sabercraft; probably the most avantgarde and progressive company, one genuinely seemingly trying to move the tech forward and .innovate. The Torrent is also the most comfortable hilt I've held with a modernized yet familiar Graflex inspired design. Great all round.
Where did you get the anakin one
I'll just go to Galaxys edge thanks for info
A 200 pound saber 12 pound for a diffrent colour limited customisation options and a very weak blade more of a show piece not a dueling saber
J4WSUA Yeah, Galaxy’s Edge is over priced and low quality in comparison to these
Why is the redeemer on saberforge never in stock? Like damn.
I was gonna go with Ultrasabers for my first, but I found a store called Rebelsabers which I think is better. Rebelsabers has less creative hilts but they have good Sabers for quite cheap
Rebel and crimson dawn are wayyy better
Rebel sabers are pretty good
i want to get in to sabers so bad but the price point for a decent one is way to much for me.
I dont need alot of diffrent colors but i just want a red one one smoothswing thats all i want. But the smooth swing seems to nbever be a option for a cheaper ones.
I wish there was a alternative to Neopixel that are singel colored and cheaper. Becuse i want a bright red lightsaber.
I love the fx sabers. but you know that , don't you.
Wow that saberforge one looks great! Which one is that?? The dark blue really pulls it together actually.
The one with the blue grip is called Saberforge Disciple. Thanks for watching!
If you want a saberforge make sure you’re okay with waiting 10-12 months XD
Do saberforge veteran tier sabers come with chargers?
I don't have so much money so Good video :)
Saber trio ftw
Hello.... if you had $300- $400 to spend on your first Combat ready light Saber. Where would you put your money. I’m a fire and LED performer mostly staffs and poi. I am new to the saber world and I was hoping you would steer me in the right direction. The only restrictions I must is dual ready. Perks of it makes sounds and perks of it could connect 2 sabres if I bought a second. Btw.... your videos rock but I felt I’d just come straight at you and ask for your guidance.... “help me obi one”
cool lightsabers
Is it to much to ask to see what it looks like when its turned on??????????
Saborforge is almost $100 more expensive then ultra and dosent have a better red then them. The hilt designs are sweet but not for the price they want
If you get a custom one, the prices make sense for a duel worthy saber.
Thank you so much for telling me Pachstore exists! I had no clue and was about to buy an Ultrasaber when I found this video. Since then, I've checked out Pachstore and it looks like exactly what I'm looking for. It almost seems too good to be true! Low prices, sound included in most models, flash on clash, plenty of colors and RGB options, fast shipping. . . I've looked up some reviews for it, but the only ones I can find are a couple Reddit threads on r/lightsabers. Can anyone here tell me if Pachstore is truly legit and has good products? Anyone here buy from them and have any experience with their products? I'd really appreciate any and all info I can get about them!
Are you giving any away
Few people bought there first lightsaber, there parents paid for a cheap plastic one when they were younglings
Camren Kimmerling my first lightsaber was one of the builders series by hasbro lol
Check out Hoth Trading Co. and Rebel Sabers also.
Coastal Jedi Academy have you tried Rebel Sabers? Nobody seems to know anything about them but I am considering their mystery box
Hails I ordered a saber from them a few weeks ago but the freight freeze on Chinese imports from that region has slowed it down. When I get it I’ll post a review tho
My first lightsabers is an Hasbro (Bladebuilders and MR) and now i have buying a Saberforge Heretic
Good upgrade

What’s their cheapest lightsaber with sounds and you can duel with
The animating Guy I’m getting the maverick v2 which is 89 dollars but you can get one for about 65 dollars I think
Hurstys gaming oh the kyojin is 65 does it have sound
@@Prozakc.O yeah i am buying the kyojin too. its insanely good for that money. the hilt is from aluminum too so its not gonna break any time soon
Reclaim_TV ok I might buy it
WHAT ABOUT SAVIS WORKSHOPS
I really wanted a kyberlight but people in here kept poo pooing it. talked me out of it.
G Terr I've done a lot of research for my own buying purpose, and I fond find them very appealing. If they dropped the price $30 I'd totally buy one
they still seem like a good deal. I don't really want all the extra parts but they say they aren't very bright.
and if your not gonna duel with your saber, a black series force fx is a lot cheaper and they look great. pretty bright too. about 150 us dollars.
Ive had a kyberlight for 2 years and ended up selling all my single led Ultrasabers because of it. V4 soundbooard is alot better then the v2 I had. Its more for people who prefer creating their own look and are into colors rather than a 10 on sound quality which o think is about a 7. Youll get more from kyber sound then a force fx anyway
@@Gterr1971 I got a kyberlight for Christmas. The brightness seems fine to me, though a few colors are a bit dimmer.
Where can I get a saber that I can duel with and some sounds for not so much money
Rebel sabers!
Their stalwart is about 80 bucks right now. It has RGB (can change to tons of different colors on the fly!) Has flash on clash and blaster effects and sound. Also has lockup!
The Disney lightsabers are duel worthy the blade wiggles so it won’t take all the pressure and destroy the insides
Haakon Biermann if you want to play in the backyard, they’re fine but they aren’t competitive worthy which is what she means when she says “duel worthy”
Ok now I understand
Can you handle the sabers instead of holding your hands in front of the camera lens XD like for real we’re just staring at your palms/fingers since they are in the way
does it hurt when you touch the light on the lightsaber
Yes extreme pain and u could lose your finger
Yes unless there LED
Is this a real question????
Yup slices your arm off be careful
Where I am from, none of this is very affordable , It id all at least 2 000 to 5 000 Bucks
200$-300$ here
For me I can make better quality ones for cheaper
Same here dude it really sucks
Oooof!
Sabertrio *never* has anything listed in stock. Ever. Is this normal?
These days Sabertrio tends to open their store on a designated day until their stock is sold out (which can be very fast). Then the company closes and stops accepting new orders until they fulfill the current ones. Sabertrio announces when they will reopen next on the Facebook page so you can check their Facebook page periodically to see when they will accept orders again.
I just bought one from aliexpress for $60 with shipping, it will arrive in about a month.
I hope you enjoy it. :)
Genesis custom sabers
If you want a high quality super aesthetic just for you cinematic looking comfortable saber, get a saberforge, if you don't want to wait 8 months to 3 years for your lightsaber don't order a saberforge
But, saber forge isn’t very aesthetic....
@@BlueJay-rv2rd Then you have a different taste in aesthetic. I personally don't find a solid raw metal cylinder with no detail and a single black rubber button to be aesthetic. Now if your talking about the blades, that's fair, sabeforge doesn't sell the most aesthetically lit blades. But the hilts themselves are very nicely detailed and shaped.
Leafy Is Queer, I never mentioned ultrasabers, and I see your point when you said they have no detail.
Or atleast I believe that you were referring to ultrasabers
3 years? There's no way it takes them that long.
Probably gonna snag an eco from SF
The pach store is super cheap because I looked up 349 Hong Kong dollars to Australian dollars and it was 67 Australian dollars
Can you do heavy dueling with all of them
Not all some will say in the description of they can handle heavy dueling or if they are just for display

That depends on your definition of 'good' and also your price range. Ultrasabers stunt sabers are a pretty popular and inexpensive option (many options under $100 plus shipping from the United States). Sabertrio makes some very nice quality stunt sabers for $80-$150 (plus shipping from Malaysia).
