Habe das Gelände mit dem Gedenkstein bei einen Urlaub in New York besucht - ich spürte "the Spirit of Woodstock". War beim Festival 1969 zwölf Jahre alt, und lebte in DDR. Greetings from Germany.

En 1970, j'avais 17 ans et Canned Heat était mon groupe préféré. A un camp de ski, à force de passer "Going up the country", le 45 T avait gondolé !!! Aujourd'hui, je viens de sécher une larme... De Suisse.

Wow, I so loved this song when it came out. These guys still sound great, not lie many of the worn out old guys that need to stop. This is like listening to them on the radio back in the day. BEST MUSIC GENERATION - EVER.....

Pretty damned disrespectable! They could have called themselves a _'tribute'_ band and people would have respected them more!
Alfonso Fito de la Parra who's playing the drums in this video and in the band since 1967 is obviously very still alive
Get your facts straight before you utter this bullshit. Canned Heat always had band members changed, right from the beginning. Band members are essential but more essential is if they play the music and vibe which Canned Heat stands for, and that is boogie music. If you don't respect the passion and dedication of the current band members to keep Canned Heat alive, then what are you doing here except nagging like an old tart.
Don't forget Amphetamine Annie and Harley Davidson Blues.

Why is it always the drummer that is left to inherit the name? This could be pretty much any bar band anywhere.

The drummer is the only original member and he was not the vocalist on any of their hits.
Reminds me of the comedian many years ago that used an ax as a prop in his act and said that it was the ax that George Washington used to cut down the cherry tree. He then noted that he had to replace the blade and the handle.

Wrong.Frank Cook was the drummer on the first Canned Heat album but left the band when they bought bigger amplifiers and began to play LOUD.

yes, when all original members are dead and the replacement players continue on with the necessary agreements in place to do so, it then becomes a cover band, like lynyrd skynyrd, ticket prices prob won't go down because of production cost tho.
