Wow. I was expecting hundreds of comments when I came down here. But barely anyone has seen this video.... Wtf is wrong with people. This is such an underrated channel. I Wish I had a platform, I would definitely promote you guys.
Thank you so much. We're hoping we can grow this to a substantial size. It is growing little by little each day and hopefully we can start reaching a bigger audience. But every view, like, share and comment helps so thanks again for your support.
I kind of agree but what I have found, those who do not know much about Philosophy will not rate it. Those who do know about Philosophy will absolutely love it and will really immerse themselves into the subject; they will always be looking for new ideas to ponder, challenge and discuss.
I love this channel, my favourite one on youtube. This really helps me with my philosophy class. I hope you're planning on making more videos! These videos are such a treat to an intellectually curious mind.
So happy to read this! Really glad you are enjoying this channel. And yes we do have a lot more videos in the pipeline. Ideally we'd like to get them out quicker but they do take a while to produce.
@@rishabhsharma1989 Any recommendations for future videos would be great! Also if you could share our videos with other Philosophy students/enthusiasts that would be very helpful. Thank you :)
@@PhilosophyVibe Yes, I did share this channel with a few more friends studying philosophy at college. Regarding future video topics, I am very impressed with the ground you have covered already (ideologically and in terms of quantity and quality of videos); here are some more topics and suggestions: 1) So far, most of your videos have been pondering over different theoretical philosophical ideas, would you want to consider making videos regarding how engagement with certain philosophical ideas or just learning about it in general could potentially help people better their lives conscientiously? 2) Nihilism, meaning of life 3) Existentialism (to help people out of existential crisis) 4) Philosophy of culture and traditions 5) Most common philosophical dilemmas and your response to them (like the trolley problem etc.) 6) A video for people to identify with the philosophical school of thought they belong to etc. -- These are the ones I could think off the top of my mind so far. I am sure they are nothing new to you. I'd be really excited for videos on these. Furthermore, I really think these characters (John and George), their visual and anime design, the setting and imageries are very appealing and conducive to your communicating your ideas, the simplicity with which they speak makes them very convincing. I am not a big fan of the other two characters though, the setting of them sitting in a den (or whatever that is) isn't that appealing to me personally. This one is great though, them sitting in a library adds to the aura of the situation and makes it a delight to watch. This channel overcomes the visual monotony and blandness of other philosophy channels on youtube, which is one of your biggest strengths and highly contributory to my consideration of you as the best philosophy channel. I hope you give the aforementioned list of suggested video topics a thought! Thanks a ton!
Adding to the list - Could you consider discussing about contemporary philosophers like Dr. William Lane Craig? I am a big fan of him! As talking about contemporary personalities makes the ideas more relatable and follow-able sometimes. However, I know that current philosophers can't surpass the wits of the likes of Descartes and Platos.
Thanks for these excellent videos you make, you’re the one youtube channel I always feel excited about when I found a video of yours related to a topic I'm studying because of the simple fact I know that at the end I'm gonna understand it in such a flexible and relatable way it’s gonna truly stay with me.
I was really shocked when I saw that there are only few comments and likes for this video. That's insane given that this video is very informative but at the same time entertaining. I have learned and heard from different point of views and as a student I really enjoyed this and it was really helpful for me. I subscribed and turned all the notifications of this channel so I won't miss any upcoming videos. Thank you so much for this! God Bless you.
I appreciate your short videos very helpful in my summer course race and health. Part 2 is what brought me here and now i'm hooked to listen the whole segments. I look forward to hearing more. Thank you philosophy vibe
Power may corrupt the best, but it also attracts the worst. This is another problem with representative democracy. Candidates are often egotistical and power hungry. Even if they begin as idealists, it is just as likely that they will be corrupted by their power as someone who was born into it. This is one of the reasons I am a monarchist, or at least sympathetic to it.
I am surprised you did not talk about anarchism, which believes that the state is not something that is necessary. Plus I feel like you lack objectivity as the video is built toward the conclusion that democracy is the best system.
Objectively, democracy really seems to be the best system. If you disagree, you have the right to argue against it and built your arguments toward the opposite conclusion.
Yeah because consensus is a viable alternative to democracy that even falls back on majoritarian votes if it cannot be reached through each commune's extensive negotiations. Also anarchism does a great job of politically educating people as it doesn't allow anyone but themselves to represent themselves and decisions can't be reached without consulting everyone in a given commune. Yet there is no supreme higher authority so no ideas dominate unless they are universally shared through their proved effectiveness.
Hybrid Representative Direct democracy... .. .. elected representatives to create solutions. Then put forth to nation ...but limited...to time sensitive issue in that can to enact legislation..... always requirements for reaffirming though direct Democracy ..all first laws get re affirm twice .. reafirm.to

Yay! They remembered Canada!
tbh could've mentioned anarchism. Even if most people would be skeptical of it, it is an option for some people in political philosophy.

Culture and government must be run by good sense and not wishful thinking.
Also Make videos on equality Freedom and reforms
Thank you, we will look into this.
