We explore an abandoned castle mansion with everything left behind.
In a rural area of Italy we find this vast 14th century castle, now almost drowning beneath the overgrowth.
Back in the mid 1300’s, the Pietra family ruled these lands, they founded this castle and resided here up until 1380, when the castle was hijacked.
Through means of violence and deception, the Lantony family claimed the castle for themselves, this lead to many years of feuding and uncertainty. It remained within their control until the last family members death.
After almost 800 years, the castle has passed through seven families in total, the last of which, left everything behind. Their artwork remains scattered around the many rooms, it’s as if they just disappeared one day, leaving it to fall into decay…
Join us and discover what secrets this historic castle has left to hide.

Hi Sam & Crew, I've offered positive compliments in previous videos I've watched, since Subbing nearly a year ago, but I have forgotten just one positive compliment directly to/for you Sam, and that is YOUR VOICE! Especially the Intro of each video you post, it's SO VERY WELL DONE and you have just the perfect sound/tone of Voice for it, making the video even more enjoyable from the start. You are an enjoyable group to tag along with :) ThankU, Cheers from Me, here in Eastern Canada, to you, wherever you all may be currently :)
What an incredible place. As an artist, I loved seeing a glimpse into the eclectic lives of the people who lived there.
Fabulous! This episode has made my week! First the shops and market and then the house! Spectacular art work and old photos, I could literally look at them all day! So many lovely things to see! Thank you once again Sam and Jess for bringing us such cool content!!! Xx
love the videos sam&jess. you are smashing it. hopefully youtube starts pushing the content more so you can hit 100k and get your 100k plaque.😁💚
There's a curtain of cobwebs!!! 😱 Did you notice the " mother in law" picture in the garage!!! 😂 Love you guys 💕😘
Does anyone know; when there's no heirs left, can these historic abandon homes be acquired somehow? Something like "tax sales" are in the U.S.? I just think it would be better to have someone living in these places rather than have them lost forever! Plus the local government would at least be collecting property taxes on it again!
Amazing. Wish we could have seen it before it was trashed. I wonder if you even found all the rooms. It was such a confusing layout. I hope someone seeing this will find a way to rescue the art. It has value on many levels other than monitary
Another gorgeous find, she must have been a Model she looked Beautiful in the photos, thank you Sam and jess loved it 🙏😘👏👏👏
What a fantastic place. Once again brought to life by you two. Loved it so much. Thank you guys! 🤗💜😁
Loved this place full of Treasures!!!❤️❤️👍👍🥰🥰🇺🇸
Such a big house 🏠. I love 💘 the artwork and the photos left behind. It's a shame that they left everything behind 😕 😪. Someone needs to restore this house. Stay safe 👌 👍 🙏 ❤ 💓 💙
What a huge old villa. So many portions begun and ended. This was very interesting ! Thank you for this unusual explore. 💙🌸🐌🌙
Well I loved this place, beautiful archways and doors, loved the living room and music room too. Btw ditto on the snake front, even pics of them freak me out. I always love to see the artwork wherever you go and this place had some lovely pieces, really liked the murals. Then you got to the master bedroom with that gorgeous ceiling, what a lovely room. The photo album was delightful, the clothes showed a well dressed man and what a lovely couple you saw signs of throughout the house. Italy you don’t let me down!
Oh wow, great video!! Loved going to the market with you, nice to see the places you go .
The house was fabulous 👌
Another old building some beautiful furniture and excellent painting and pictures
Loved this. I'm wondering if you even found all the rooms. It has such a strange layout. I hope someone seeing this will find a way to rescue the art. It has value on many levels beyond the monetary. It's too bad treasures like this place aren't preserved, but then, not many have that kind of money!
Fab explore Sam Jesse, the musical instrument that you found with the handle to wind, is I think a “ Hurdy Gurdy “ Those cobwebs are insane. Lol 🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰
I just noticed how close you are to 50,000! Yayyyy! I hope by end of the year or this time next year you hit 100,000!!! keep up the amazing work! Cheers!

Such a big place and the art work is very beautiful and needs to be saved, such shame
This place was stunning! The couple that lived there looked like they loved life! My husband and I were supposed to go to Italy 2yrs ago for our 25th anniversary but covid hit so hopefully next year we can get there! Can't wait to see more from your Italy trip!
Can't believe the clock still chimes! What a beautiful home!

Beautiful house. The tapestry on the beds in the master bedroom put them right at the top of my favourites list.
ITALIA❤️ MY SECOND HOME. I love the food, the culture, the style. The markets smell gorgeous. Huge fruit and veg. Ohhh, you took me home ❤️
Absolutely stunning. Loved the kitchen, loved it all. Such a spectacular house, I wish I could perches it! Thanks guys x
ox, the "camera" is not a camera, it is a projector. you put a full reel on one side of the projector, i think on the rear spindle, and an empty one on the other spindle. you then play the movie between a built in light bulb and the lens, projecting it to a white wall or a screen made for that purpose. when the show is over, you rewind it back to the original reel
Thankyou for showing us. Those small pictures in the album might have been printed directly from the negatives without an Enlarger. They may have been part of a plan for making a film.
Wow!... so sad, yet scary at same time (families involved forgotten along with times, achievements, lives, etc) - what are we actually here/born for?...
You guys are exceptional!!... much thanks (from South Africa - no such castles, etc)...
You could likely live your entire life there and never find all the rooms. I hope someone seeing this will rescue that art. It's too valuable to let it for away
This episode really makes me sad I think it’s the photos of the couple the fact that it looks like they left one day and never returned, and that bedroom perfectly preserved in memory of the previous generation of occupants, it was beautiful but has made me incredibly sad 😢
this place has such a beautiful vibe to it 😊
great to see you...class building loved it xx
Italy reminds me of spaghetti and the first pizzas came out of Italy they invented pizza 🍕 we all love and enjoy today 😊
Amazing location, thank you and be safe.
It would cost $1,200+ to fly to Italy from where I live, double if I take somebody with me. Even more if we wanted to eat and have a hotel to sleep in! Not going to Italy for a long, long, long, long time. Thanks for sharing these fabulous places with those of us way to poor to travel!
Haha those computers were the brand new fancy thing they replaced all the old tan square ones with when i was in elementary school
Fabulous video again Sam n Jess it good to see you on your travels. Xx
Yeah,Italy I dig it ,it's a cool one spaghetti and wine house Such a lovely home.☯️
Those are clip’s with the bullets on it ! 😜 give a call next time!😂
If all this old walls could speak what interesting stories would they tell to us! I could be amazing!
Great video guys, interesting place
Time stamp 33:55 I here disembodied woman's groan a bit higher tone than Sam or Jess! I love y'all ... Here from Texas, USA
Absolutely love this one! Love the architecture. I was hoping that you’d find the art room! That would’ve been cool. I think you’re right that they were living in one part and left the other part to go to ruins. So sad. I don’t know if you guys have heard or not, but Maureno has run into trouble in the US. He’s in the hospital, has lost everything all of his camera equipment. His passport everything that he owned or had with him I guess. Don’t know the details. Leslie left a message. Needs money for an attorney. I just don’t know what happened he is in the hospital at Las Vegas Nevada. They have set up a go fund me account and are asking help for legal advice. Absolutely breaks my heart. I think of all of you as my kids when you travel to different countries I always worry about you and you’re all always in my prayers and thoughts. Check out Leslie‘s post. You guys are doing a fantastic job in Italy! Absolutely love it. Sending all my love and hugs are safe trip.💜😎🤟🏻
my guess is it was falling down so the family left it, the bare brick walls are to hold the beams up the artist could have been squating or bought it for cheap.
Liked the vlog from Margaret P from uk
Wonderful place. Thank you for sharing it.
What a great video from Jason ghost hunter from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 new to your channel 🇦🇺
Love your videos well done. To bad all the stuff is going to ruin.
When a place goes left abandoned an no family it’s goes to the government so by contacting your local court house an ask to buy the property can be possible also them bullets look like 38 caliber an the art was really nice also chunky doll in the corner was cool
Great video 👌
The ammunition is likely for an old submachine gun/pistol, possible a Mauser C96. The metal piece the bullets were attached to is called a stripper clip, which allowed the gun to be fully loaded quickly (insert stripper clip into top of magazine and push the ammunition down, sliding it off the other end). The ammunition will have a stamp on the back end, probably showing caliber (9mm maybe) and year of production.
Fantastic place
You çan not bring soil threw customs it is against the law jess
Smashing it guy's...Loved it thank you 😘
I love the video jess sam
samplings of frescoes of Michelangelo's Sistine ceiling - these look like master copies of various famous artists: Bruegel, Miro, Schiele, etc.
Seeing the tiny marts I was thinking of making a cauliflower pizza. lol
GOD BLESS YOU
Loved it
Great video love it
ES FANTASTICO LUGAR GRACIAS
Parabéns meus queridos vocês são lindos 👏🏼🌹👏🏼👏🏼🌹👏🏼🌹🙏🙏
Wow bellissima esplorazione saluti dall'Italia 😘
Cool place. The wooden knife I suspect is for dough or cheese. Kalaapee is the instrument. Most artists do nudes nothing unusual. It's about shape and form.thanks.🐟
Amazing place xx
The bullet strips look like Mauser broomhandle stripper clips
Imádom a videóitokat! Arra lennék kíváncsi, az ilyen elhagyatott kastélyokba, házakba nem találkoztatok paranormális jelenségekkel?
salut un petit bijoux meme si je ne comprend pas vos parole j en prend plein les yeux magnifique
the clips with the bullets are fast load clips, they are needed to load some old firearms quickly :)
What a waste idd.. but without all abandoned waste, we'd have no cool vids.. ty!
Nice architecture. This place didn’t feel like a home as far as the last occupants. More of a studio. Lots of naked guys. If the walls could talk. A bit on the creepy side.
My ancestors were Italian the abrusase region I think. Wonder if any of them were ever there
I would love to have seen the camera pause a little longer on the wall art. You seemed to spend longer on the photos than the art and the whole trip seemed a bit rushed.
The painting of the two girls was an Egon Schiele copy, probably not by him though
Probably close to Austria
Bullets look like a quick strip to load a Luger 9mm pistol
Waarom openen ze geen fles wijn ik snap dat niet hoor
Alcohol 👌
Thanks for your awesome videos, great coverage, it might be time to shave and do the Hair, the End times are Here, you don't need that bogging your down...
👍👍
Where was cobweb carl??
Lol! If you watch Zoolander you'll see a computer just like that.
18;07 if that is a real JOAN MIRO it is worth around !!!!a million USD !!!!!!!
