if I could make a few suggestions, I think you could make a few small adjustments to the office space a tad more functional, since you, like myself are prone to allowing clutter to accumulate, like a clear working space, and like to do bulk resets rather than putting stuff away immediately, consider a medium floor basket in which you can toss clutter "to be organized later" in making everything effectively organized even when you haven't yet. ideally, it would have a lid so if you can't be bothered to do it that very moment you can do it later and it's all gathered in one place, you could even toss it on the chair and wheel it around the room as you put stuff away. setting aside 15 to 20 minutes at the end of your work day to do this is also ideal. that's how I've always done it in my personal and professional life and I literally even do this in video games where you need inventory management lol. I swear by this system of a "limbo" basket where you have all your mess collected and ready to be moved to its permanent space which already exists. also as for the shelves and styling don't be afraid to add different wood tones, metals, and textures. a few framed prints, layering them in frames, putting things of different levels near each other, and also putting some books on your bookshelf on their sides with a plush or a decorative candle placed on top of them will make it feel more cozy and effortless. plus it can break it up more evenly between books and decor pieces so it's not just "books" and flaking the actual usage of the bookshelf is all the little dudes you've collected. but instead, it just makes it all into a beautiful and functional display piece. the current office is lovely! and excellent video
Now this type of projects is exactly one of my jams. I used to think I was unorganized. But n ow I understand that I really just had too much stuff for the amount of space I had available. Once I decluttered a huge amount of --let's face it--garbage, I have set up organizations in my new house (well, we've been in it for 4.5 years by now, but still) that have stayed organized. I have recently restructured all my crafting stuff. I managed to get a DreamBox, which encouraged me to seriously review all my supplies, destash a ton, and then organize what was left. After yet another restructure of my pens, I think I'm in a good place for now. Since I don't have to film in mine, it's nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as yours, I makes my heart happy. And I find I actually enjoy this sort of project. It's like a life-sized puzzle.
Chuck i am a wizard. This gives me so much inspiration. For my first journal. And next year my first full year. Now in my first full week in my journal. It feels good to have not lose papaver for every day tasks list. And info in just one place feels really good. So i am hooked.

I love this make over, it looks so nice! I would probably move the shelves a little to the right so that they're not covered by the drawers and are more centered on the wall, but otherwise I love the new layout! :)
I LOVE this! It came out amazing! Organizing and rearranging for maximum efficiency is my 'heaven.' Nothing excites me more than organizing. ☺️ I love how 'real' you are and that you show when things aren't perfect but you adapt. Some vloggers create an image of extreme perfection that is unattainable and makes you feel like a failure when you can't duplicate it. You're my favorite. And so much like me (from personality to attitude to wardrobe 😂 - mine is 90+% black). I think you and Vogel are adorable ❤ in addition to being very helpful and entertaining along the way! I've been trying to change up my drawers for my pens, markers and such and need to unpackage some but want to keep them together and organized. I've got a few options ordered but I like the stackable ones that you have with various sizes. Do you remember what brand they are? Thank you for you! Stay real!
This looks amazing! The shelves really add a lot of interest to your front facing shot and it's nice to see you at eye level and not from above. It certainly makes me more comfortable to not be looking down on you 😅
I have found cable management is a balance of organising and ‘hiding’ them and not making it enormous work if you need to move one component. I have some stuff wrapped but not everything as they tend to be needed elsewhere at short notice
I love the good old "can I help you?" and partner answering "it is easier to do it on my own". My boyfriend argues it is so he has control over the weight and can balance everything properly, making it easier to carry, but I assume it is also because he knows I have less strength than him and he doesn't want me to physically hurt myself trying to lift something that weighs more than 20kg on my own haha.
Vogel lying on the floor mid-project is such a mood. Sometimes I wish I could rearrange my office, but It's entirely built-in in terms of desk and shelves.

The bookshelves are great!! One thing that helps me keep my desk clean is always having a designated letter tray for things that need to be put away/organized. Doesn’t need to be paper, obviously, but it also helps with being able to quickly clear off my area. I only work from home one day a week so it's mostly used for journaling/crafting.
It looks great! I can't tell you how many times Hubby and I have rearranged our computer room!😂 It's always a fun project we enjoy doing together. Each time, It gets better, and more the way we want it to be.😁
Love the new organization area. If your journaling friend does come over (sans kid) you might be able to get a foldable table. It will stay out of the way but available if needed. Also, if I may recommend, with the purple lights on the bookcase, maybe add some purple on the desk. Yo could do this by adding 'faceplates' on your acrylic pen storage area. Using Cricut, you might be able to write whats inside without actually having to look inside all of the time.
I have an awkward gap behind my desk because of an outlet if you have a piece of scrap wood you could put it across the desk and put all the organizers on them.

I love those bookshelves- have 4 of them around the house. Very manageable for one person to assemble and move. I’ve moved the shelves up and down stairs a few times by myself, and I’m 71.
Haven't watched but I am so excited that I had to comment! I have been looking forward to this video because I need the inspo. Also without even saying I knew the box thrown was from Stationery Pal because I dropped mine and those confetti circles went everywhere, lol.

We are working on my Office too, I still have a lot to get though, cause we are going to bulid my computer and we still need to do my shelves. Ive got to get my Screens, all 3 of them, my Mic Arm kind of like what you got, my light that goes in here, and the small shelves that go under the ones that are going on the wall, we also need to do some other maintenance in here such as, board up the door and window and paint the room and eventually redo the floor.
Im sure mine will probably be the same, cause my husband is currently working a lot and will be all the way through April 15th. Yey Tax Day. but he does get a break over Christmas that we can do some work on the room over. @@JashiiCorrin

Yeah that corner ended up looking really odd with nothing in it. Originally we were going to put it in the middle, but then for the background of my videos it was going to be too hard to get it perfectly central, which would just irk me more 😝
I just got new desks for my office and got it all set up in a relative order at the end of October BUT my two bookshelves and my closet are 109% disasters. This video is super motivational though so fingers crossed I can get them sorted before the end of the year🎉 (I’m focusing on my bathroom and closet right now though so office declutter is a future me problem lmao)

This is the kind of thing that I need to do for my art space as well...whenever I try to get more stuff to put things (shelves, drawers), I seem to keep needing more because I just have so much stuff...I honestly don't know where to put everything, and I need to figure out if there's a way I could possibly re-arrange furniture to maximize my workspace, too. We have slanted half walls, so I'm limited on height. My current art desk is in a little nook that's like a little indent where the window is located...and then I've got a couple regular computer desks up there (my old ones) that I want to use for other art projects and stations. Sometimes I feel like I should just hire someone to organize for me because I'm so horrible at doing it on my own.
Wow, looks great! So open and large feeling. The shelves were a great addition. I might move them back to the right, though, to be more balanced on the wall and centered behind you when you film. It's been so fun and satisfying seeing the change from the original space to this! Nice work!
Getting them centred behind me wasn't really working out which is why we ended up putting them to the side 😝 couldn't get them perfectly centred so we went with an intentionally-off-centre look 👏
