This is exactly why we need to as Muslims put our whims and desires down, when they become too big for you to handle then wait till other ailments arise too, such as arrogance, no doubt arrogance leads to ignorance and that's been shown by the guys make such strong statements about prophet and indirectly about our Lord most high and pure, this is why I've learnt to refrain from talking about ALLAH SWT in certain manners, in manners which I am ignorant to, but anyways brother alhamdulillah this was a wake up call for us all and warning of how ignorance is truly dangerous in all ways shapes and forms.

I often hear others just say "sala salam".
It is more befitting and honorable as well as likely more rewarded by Allaah. Also worth mentioning the hadeeth of when he was climbing up mimbar صلى الله عليه وسلم
He said "aameen" to the du'aa of Jibreel عليه السلام where he said "may he be cursed, who does not say صلى الله عليه وسلم after your name"

The reason is these halwa maulanas are from Urdu background. Hence, they automatically translates a'ziyyah to hurting because a'ziyyat in urdu means hurting. May Allah bless you for exposing them and guide these maulanas towards haqq.

I'm from Malaysia..I can tell you that here in Malaysia we have our own admonishing each other... I agree with your point that this deobandi are making things up.. but our government are considering deobandi that was once banned to be relieve from banning..I was like whaaattttt!!! Common people here doesn't even know about deobandi, ashariyah,maturidiyah,Sufism,salafi.. all I know is there is rift between scholar about topic that common people didn't even knew about.. saddening moment now between our brothers..
Akhiy no need to bring up the goverment in public discussions. There are rights of the leaders, and if we sincerely try to follow the salaf we will be careful not to criticize our government in public because it is not permissible. InsyaAllah what is important is we educate ourselves and hold this deen even if we have to bite a tree by its roots. Actually the difference between "hurting" as said by deobandi sheikh and cause "harm", "grief" as said by sheikh Fauzan is not far from different concepts. The concept remains similar, to abuse the Prophet (AS) or the sahaba causes some "grief", "harm", "hurt" to the Prophet (AS) after his passing away in his beloved resting place. But to be specific or to say he is In the action of world's "crying" or worldly understanding of "hurting" only Allah knows best how one feels "grief", "hurt", "harm" in the afterlife. The thing is when the deobandi ulema said he (AS) is probably crying or hurting in his resting place, he said it out of emotions and not to be taken literally as we feel crying, hurting in this world, so Abu mussab maybe should have understood this... But both deobandi, salafi (sheikh Fauzan) according to this video seems to have the same opinion that "harm", "grief", "hurt" does happen to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH or other prophets in their resting place in a way which we do not know or cannot comprehend, if it does happen

Just as an example, for the sahaabah the most easiest thing of deen was marriage & today it is the most difficult thing to do. Subhaanallah, if the easiest thing of the sahaabah is the most difficult for us, than, one needs to think, how is he going to come on to the things of deen for which the sahaabah strived for. Deobandis, barelvis, salafis, wahaabis, etc. For most, this has become entertainment. Wallahul musta aan.

Read the work "Blasting the Foundation of Atheism" by Sheikh Abul Feda Ibn Massod, an Egyptian Salafi, who has 2 PHD's one in philosophy of science, very strong in Aqeedah. You can check his works, he has written multi-volumes work in Arabic, refuting them, you can check them out.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer: "... `Ikrimah said that the Ayah:
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
(Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger,) was revealed concerning those who make pictures or images. In The Two Sahihs, it is reported that Abu Hurayrah said: "The Messenger of Allah said:
«يَقُولُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ، يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَه»
(Allah says: "The son of Adam annoys Me by inveighing against time, but I am time, for I cause the alternation of night and day.")" The meaning of this Hadith is that in the Jahiliyyah they used to say, "How bad time is, it has done such and such to us!" They used to attribute the deeds of Allah to time, and inveigh against it, but the One Who did that was Allah, may He be exalted. So, He forbade them from this. **Al-`Awfi reported that Ibn `Abbas said that the Ayah,
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
(Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger, ) was revealed about those who slandered the Prophet over his marriage to Safiyyah bint Huyay bin Akhtab. The Ayah appears to be general in meaning and to apply to all those who annoy him in any way, because whoever annoys him annoys Allah, just as whoever obeys him obeys Allah.**
The Threat to Those Who fabricate Slander
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَـتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُواْ
(And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly,) means, they attribute to them things of which they are innocent, which they do not know and do not do.
فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُواْ بُهْتَـناً وَإِثْماً مُّبِيناً
(they bear the crime of slander and plain sin.) This is the most serious slander, to tell or transmit things about the believing men and women that they have not done, in order to bring shame upon them and accuse them of shortcomings. Among those to whom the description most applies are those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers, followed by the Rafidites who accuse the Companions of shortcomings and faults of which Allah has stated that they are innocent, and describe them as the opposite of what Allah has said about them. Allah, may He be exalted, has told us that He is pleased with the Migrants and Ansar, and has praised them, but these foolish and ignorant people inveigh against them and accuse them of shortcomings, and say things about them that they did not do and could never have done. In reality, their hearts are misguided, for they condemn those who deserve praise and praise those who deserve condemnation."
So which Tafsir should I take, the one of The Quran by The Quran and of the Sahabi of RasulAllah ﷺ (with the actual Raawi), or that of some internet person trying to fit a meaning of arabic word which would contradict other Ayaat? Who is following the Salaf in their Fahm of the Quran, who is doing isdidlaal before i'tiqaad? Be true to yourself and Allah, man. أرحم نفسك.
@Ryan ??? It's not about what I got. It's about the Truth. Which is that the Tafsir of the Salaf, which doesn't contradict the Ayaat unlike the interpretation of the mawlanas abr brother Jabir, is dearer to us than trying to squeeze in strange, inappropriate, meanings in the Ayah using Language and some shady Athar.

However, I still feel uncomfortable that scholars of the sunnah like Tarafe may Allah give him strength and many others are imprisoned in Saudi and none of the da’ees spread this info and bring it to light. Read the book Al-Shariah of Imam Ajjuri, Sharah Usool al-Atiqad of Imam bin Zaid Al-Lalakaee, and At-Tamheed of Imam Abdullah ibn Barr.
