Great tutorial, but I think that the "animating on" should probably come with change the lighting. Since you're doing it with a motorized slider, it would be cool to shoot a darker setup with the same movement and compose it together with the blue shot as the hologram grows

OMG I just watched Decomissioned. It's right up my alley. loved it. How much did it cost? What did the set / Props cost and where did you get them? What did you film it for? I recently started out at filmschool and I'd love to make a space movie for ma bachelors in two years.

Sir i have a question if everyone can create such hologram vfx easily then why film makers pay so much money to studios to create it for them I mean they can better hire a low budget freelancer on freelance marketplaces for this job then paying huge money to big studios?

The room is pitch black! The only light source is a damn hologram. I think the lighting was on point.
