One thing I will say, in the movies, they shot RDJ with telephoto lenses to give a more orthographic and appealing perspective of the face. Using a wide lens close up to the actor tends to distort the face and give an unappealing look. That's also why a lot of portrait photographers use telephoto lenses
Wow! Huge thanks sir. I always wondered why I preferred the 85mm prime footage when I used to grip assist but everyone went crazy for the 35mm or 50mm. I always like anything >70mm. Now am transitioning from editor/VFX to CamOp/Directing so really, thanks.
Following you for more than just a month but feels like FOLLOWING you for whole life. Tutorials are great and super simple to follow. Appreciation for you guys
To all of you a Big Congrats! ❤ I am following your channel for more than one year, my comments are just a few because of my lack of time, but I have never missed a tutorial. You are doing a great job, and I personally thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and creativity !❤
Aww... Recently i could have used this for a Futuristic Chinese Food Take Out video i did. The lighting tips will be very helpful. Thanks guys, as all ways, very helpful.
Ironman was actually the first movie that used this facial shot with HUD technique. Before, they just use projector pointed at the actors face (e.g. War Games). Now it's a standard (DC for scenes that calls for it.
