Hi congratulations for this😍 if you have a school going kid then your priority would be the best school so look for areas and houses with the filter as schools nearby in apps like rightmove, Zoopla. Don’t worry about commuting to office most of the London is well connected with tubes and buses. Just make sure you don’t have to walk much to the station. Hope you find a best place. We can afford upto 1300 for rent .

You can use apps like rightmove, Zoopla to look out for rental properties.
You can give your place as Canary Wharf, and choose a radius within which you are looking and your budget.
You can get a 1BHK for 1300 like some 20 -30 minutes from Canary Wharf (places like Lewisham, Greenwich) but please not this may not include the council tax or other bills.
