The wait is over! We had so many requests for the new Tech House Start To Finish Course PLUS we are now happy to present this brand new - Ableton-Stock-Only!! - session with the man himself Fab Massimo - enjoy!
I bought me a launchkey mini and a launchpad mini 4 days ago, i learned more from this 30 minutes video then i learned from all Ableton tutorials together 👍👍👍
OMG I am so happy to see Fab doing lesson videos!!! I was literally looking for this recently and couldnt find any other than the Zen World one. Fab is one of my fav producers!!
@ProductionMusicLive Hey so if we purchace the course do we actually get live sessions with Fab massimo? Also does the bonus project file include all his processing and master chain? Cheers
I noticed that when side-chaining the bass the compressor was set to RMS rather than peak. Was this by error or on purpose? Is it better to do side-chaining RMS or peak?
Now listen all of you some of the TechnHouse Classics like Audio Soul Projects Back To Joy or Eddie & Gideon Blue Wig, maybe some mixes from Terry like Architecture and you will see this is only new commercial so called Tech House...and if it is done in 30min well that tells you everything...and those simple drops and reapiting vocals do not have anyrhing to do with technhouse..please...
great video, thanks a lot. It's keeping me busy the last couple of days. Learning and enjoying at the same time! I am trying to reproduce the "pitchy lead" but when I add the "wavetable", the "basic peak lead" goes away.. any advice someone?
Hey guys I'm kinda new to producing. I know this probably makes no sense, but why do I feel like tracks produced on ableton sound better than tracks produced on fl studio ? Now I seen from different sources that DAW doesnt matter, but take for exemple your average beat on youtube. Usually when I feel something is wrong with the track, I find out at the end that the beatmaker was using fl studio. Why do ableton beats/tracks sound more "professional" if that makes any sense ? Sorry I'm still new to producing and I want to clear this out since its confusing me so much, I hope someone gets my point lol
It’s a tutorial…. He’s not trying to make the most genre bending out-there track, he’s showing the bones of what make up a tech house track: A groovy baseline, syncopated drums, and cool fx.
I really love PML tutorials ! But! But this tech house track sound bad! The worst mixing I've ever heard. The hi hat sounds to loud, is no low frequencies. All mix sound to flat. It's Maby nice video for somebody who learning arrangement building.
We could look at a definition - Tech House: "A cross breed of house and techno music, generally keeping the tempo, beat and rhythm of a house song. Electronic and synthetic instruments are usually laid over to form the fusion of house and techno."
@@ProductionMusicLive Yeah great, thank you for providing the most generic definition to try and justify this track that doesn't sound anything like tech-house. By this logic anything that has 4/4 beat and is "generally keeping the tempo, beat and rhythm of a house song" could be labaled tech-house.
@@TranceElevation Feel free to provide a more narrow definition! One question is: Who get's to decide if something is still Tech House, when Acid-Techno elements get added for example. And who get's to decide if we are using wider or more narrow definitions. Also: Does it matter if we use narrow or wide definitions of Tech House?
@@francoispml Yes, it does matter because otherwise why do genres even exist. When people search for "Melodic Techno", "Hardstyle", "Tech-House", Progressive House", "Soulful House" etc. they do it because they're searching for specific stylistic differences that makes them like that specific genre. And like every genre Tech-House has its own characteristics that definite it and make it special for people who enjoy that style of music. Tech-House has always been about the groove. In Tech-House the melodic elements are always adding to the groove, they're not trying to compete with it or take attention from it, they should not LEAD, they should complement, enforce the groove. In tech-house the groove is king. In Tech-House you should feel the bass, not hear it. A plucky bassline in Tech-House is odd to say the least. As soon as you make your bass plucky you start to draw attention to your bass. An acid sounding bass it's a no go for tech-house. Acid sounds are totally uncharacteristic for the genre. Although this track has some elements that could fit in a tech-house track, as a whole, the track is a much more techno and much less house track. This is an example of a proper tech-house track. ruclips.net/video/j9Y75FWZzGo/видео.html He's your competition, but sorry, the guy knows his stuff.

Finally some Tech House on this channel! 🚀
but it aint tech house
Mmm, is it tech house though?
Clean and simple, great work for 30 mins dude
Glad you liked it!
This is how progressive house started, it sounded just like this in the late 90's ;)
gute Arbeit. Produziere seit 2009 und habe hier trotzdem wieder was mitnehmen können.
11:15 Fab mentions how the audio effects are now in individual folder sections. Just right click in there and uncheck "Group In Folder."
nice one!
Could get watching him doing this stuff for hours!
At last! Technological House.
Always loved this stuff.
I love it how you have a camera guy that swings around you so we have to guess what youre working on!
so helpful, unreal track for 30 mins too
Très bon travail 👌. Une très bonne continuation musicale et vive la musique 🎹 Theret Jean-Luc.
ive watched many tutorials and I have to say as far as quality and time, this is pretty damn good
Only using Ableton stock fx and instruments, nice job!

You should do side chain with a volume shaper it will give you more flexibility and less clicks
3:10 - 3:16
What effects could be applied to achieve such a change in sound quality in 5 seconds?
I am unable to reproduce it and am puzzled.
Its just a highpass Filter from an eq, you can automate it. He uses the built in one from operator
Great thanks!
I've been on the lookout for quality content to up my game, and this video absolutely nailed it! 🙌 You've definitely gained a new subscriber! 🎉🔥
Big ups for the BGST shirt
feels more like techno
what is the red line that he controlled the volume

can someone explain how do you access the red lines cwhere it’ll allow you to manipulate? that’s not pitch bend right ? 20:15

the "compressor" where can I find it, it's in the Ableton pro or in this pack ?

i wish i had more hands so i could give this four thumbs up 👍

Sounds like Boris Brejcha - I Take It Smart
学到了,谢谢~
right click on the folders in ableton and you can get the alphabetical list back
That’s awesome! Feel free to reach out.

how do i bring up the piano on the kick like he did at the beginning of the video??
When's the Jersey club tutorial drop? there's no professional in-depth one and its a hot topic
I'm struggling to learn ableton, have the beats in my head but can't get it on the program

very nice 👍👍👍
Turning down the master? I’ve never done this before what’s the reason for it?
Does Ableton Intro has the operator instrument?
No, Operator comes with Suite.

Samples and synth qualities are important. I'm not a FL user but I know Ableton put a lot of efforts in making great stock plugins.
It’s takes me 30 minutes to find the right lead/melody 😂

That's why I stopped using sample packs like this. Generic processed samples leads to generic hollow tracks

Ouch.
I mean it’s a challenge to create a song in 30 minutes, probably gonna be kinda basic bro

Music should come from inspiration not like a challenge. Cheapy tech house like this is killing the industry, sadly.
