My understanding is that the proper way to level the blade is by adjusting the two allen head set screws located at the base edge of the blade. NOTE: NEVER ADJUST THE SCREW FOUND IN THE CENTER HOLE OF THE BLADE.
The way you demonstrate will may not remain in proper adjustment due to vibration of the machine causing the blade to slip out of adjustment. That is the purpose of the TWO leveling screws (NOT the two phillips head screws that secure the blade). They allow the blade to rest against them holding them solidly in position and preventing downward slippage when machine is in use.
Another note: When tightening the two phillips head blade screws ALWAYS tighten the front screw first (as you correctly demonstrated). This prevents the torque from causing the opposite end of the blade to rise up while tightening causing the blade to be improperly positioned.
This is a great video so don't think I'm criticizing. I have been dealing with these machines since the early '90's and had to learn these things the hard way. Hope this is helpful.

Is it ok to put lubricant between blade and blade shield to prevent rusting?
Also would you be able to tell me where I can find the wiring diagram for this model as I’ve stripped down my machine to give it a full clean etc etc and for some reason (disconnected a connection and forgotten it’s place) it’s not turning on but there is power to the motor. It could also be a faulty switch as it’s been dormant for quite some time. Thanks

Having trouble with ice getting between blade and ice block. Any ideas. Blades are sharp and calibrated. I do have SNO flo's on mine machines.

My swan machine blade barely moves past that leveling technique in the video when spinning the wheel to the left. I bought a polar pal from Amazon and that one goes up against the metal plate. What could be wrong? At its lowest point it goes 1/8 of an inch below the metal plate.

@@zurz060 I bought the used swan for $600. The base is very rusty and I had to buy a drip tray for it separately.

Drew BBQ if it’s only been used for 100 times or so, the blade is probably still good unless you see a lot of chips or damages on the blade.
