  • US sharemarkets were mixed on Monday. The Nasdaq index closed at a record high while the benchmark S&P 500 index gained slightly as technology stocks advanced ahead of Nvidia's highly anticipated earnings results on Wednesday. The giant chipmaker rallied 2.5% on a bullish analyst call, while peer Micron Technology climbed 3% after Morgan Stanley upgraded the memory chipmaker to "equal-weight." The Philadelphia SE semiconductor index gained 2.2%. Microsoft rose 1.2% ahead of its Build developer conference that kicks off on Tuesday. Norwegian Cruise Line surged 7.6% after lifting its annual profit forecast. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones index lagged the broader market as JPMorgan Chase led losses. Its shares slid 4.5% as CEO Jamie Dimon signalled his possible retirement and said the bank won’t buy back much stock at “these prices.”

LOL, CBA did briefly get up $121.79 at 2:49pm, then it went sideways.
