Your Vizio rear speakers have upfiring modules or speakers on the top of them too. There being blocked by the lamp that you set them on. Your not really getting the optimum Atmos sound from those speakers that supposed to bounce off the ceiling and back down to you. Definitely try that and you will really be mind blown! Great review!

I REALLY want one!!! I might be able to get one by the end of the year but I might not. I experienced it at my local best buy and it sounded AWSEOME! It was like being in a movie theater and I just really wish I had one. Vizio should be kind enough to send me one too. I have vizio products and love them.
Carlo L I get frequent complaints from neighbors. And that’s at low volume with sub on +3. It really is a monster for the price. Clear, consistent sound with killer bass - especially with 4K BluRay’s and PS4 Pro. So this is pretty much Dolby atmos soundbar which people would want to use with their HDR TVs, so an important question is, does it have HDR passthru via HDMI.? does it support Dolby Vision.?
For the actual price, I would like a "Microphone calibration set up" mode like Yamaha and Onkyo does. The price is already premium. Probably you could fiddle on the controls but the more speakers, the more complicated to do by ear. When programs do the calibration, each speaker says their name and the machine know how high needs to make a good surround experience.
I would love to see Elric connect this Home Theatre to a PC! I haven't seen many tech gyuz (if any) talk about sound and how to connect Dolby Atmos / DTS:X to a Computer and take it for a test drive with games!

To get Dolby Atmos for a Windows HTPC you need to buy Dolby Access in the Windows store. I did buy it more for my Xbox for headphones but it worked out for my HTPC as well. Think I paid like $20 for it well worth the cost in my opinion.
People should check if the wireless subwoofer is using a wifi channel that is occupied by a router or device. That happens with Samsung wireless speakers, solutions are like pair them again or change the routers location and channels.

I wish I could afford these. I make do with a old Sony sound system that has a CD player (!!!) and 2 cassette tape players (!!!!!!) that actually still work. I connect it to the PC or TV and the sound quality is still good.The base is strong, the mediums a bit lacking but the highs are adequate. All in all it's still kicking.

As a very very dedicated Audio and Video guy I'm not a big fan of HT systems in a box. I am not saying they are a bad thing and for most they fit the requirements. My self i prefer a full systems built around a solid receiver. I run anthem , paradigm , buttkicker with OPPO and Panasonic. Those systems are great for the regular person who just wants a good entry into surround sound . If the budget allows then I suggest going to a full built system.just my 2 cents and Awesome video as always.
I agree. I find most of these boxed surround sound systems lacking. My recommendation so far has always been: Get a good receiver and build a 2.0 stero system around it, then expand as necessary. For most people a good 2.0 system is plenty and will give a better overall sound than whatever boxed system their looking at. Most people underestimate how well two good speakers can fill a room.
I have the older 5.1 surround (in a apartment) which sounded great to me . Just moved into a house & looking to upgrade maybe, but not sure if the 5.1.4 will be worth jump from older $300 vizio unit, to this $1k unit . Other than a larger sub & the atmos, has Vizio upgrades anything else ? 🤔

Jessica I like it a lot. I’m in an apartment so it works great for my environment. I find the sound to be rather crisp and clear for its price point. It can get very, very loud, and the bass thumps. If I put in a 4K DVD, the max I dare put the sub on is 3 (and that still risks drawing complaints from the neighbors). It’s a lot of bang for the buck, in my opinion. Yes, I would recommend.
Oh they are most defiantly not full range drivers. Being someone who loves great sound for home theater (I spent the better part of 3 years building my own home theater, put a little over $15,000 in it as of this point and I ain't finished yet but it is still a finished home theater. Home theaters in my opinion aren't ever truly finished. lol) really hates when companies just plan up lie to the consumer just to sell a product. In order for a speaker to be really full range it has to be one hell of a monster speaker with a built in subwoofer or the equivalent of one. Basically the speaker needs to be able to reach something like (don't quote me on this because I'm just making a guess with the knowledge that I have, which is pretty good and all self learned) 20hz or under and not only reach it but reach it with authority, meaning playing loud not just a whisper. lol

Although 15.000 is a lot whenever I see these soundbar videos, I can't help to tell people not to invest in them. Get a good AMP/Receiver pair of good bookshelf speakers and a good sub. Just the stereo alone will blow the socks off these soundbars, and down the line you can upgrade in whatever direction you want surround, center then atmos. Another benefit is that there more durable components

They need to make a wireless version as if sony can do it why can't they? For this price you can totally wireless set up with sony for less granted it gots less speaks but in 2019 their no reason why they could not do this wireless.

Great video .. But, hears my problem and not much help from vizio. I bought 2 of these SB46514-F6 off ebay brand new. I buy alot from ebay and look for good reputable sellers. I gave one to my son and I have the other hooked up to my Vizio 70 inch E70 series HD smart tv. I dont have a cable provider and use Frontier Communications asmy internet provider. I also use a Amazon Firestick but not streaming channels. I just mostly watch RUclips music videos or RUclips movies and shows. The sound bar is absolutely amazing unless you're watching a show and trying to hear the people speaking so you turn up the volume, then music will play and blast you out of the house. Vizio technical support has not been much help. Swapping cables , resets, etc... Nothing helps. In the past what I did was keep the sound bar volume level down a d the tv speakers on and up to hear the peoples voices... That gets annoying.. Anyone have any suggestions?? Other than these glitches the sound bar is probably the best home stereo I've ever heard, even better than my Panasonic 1200 theater system.. Thanks for the great video

They ONLY reason why people should get a soundbar is when they are on such a tight budget +/- 100$. Then it makes sense. But for the price of this thing? You have to not care about sound or you are just lazy af. For that price I could make a KILLER home cinema system with new off the shelf parts.
Yeah, I really dislike the trend with more more more speakers. Right here we have 9 speakers which, are probably quite shoddy. I mean that's less than 100 bucks per speaker. Sure surround sound is nice, but surround sound won't make shoddy speakers sound good. Especially when considering all the trouble adding additional speakers (or even a subwoofer) in an untreated room brings. If you value the audio experience, get a 2.0 system and expand as necessary. Properly set up, this will give a very complete and accurate soundstage with voices seeming to come from the front. Get the best dual driver (aka bass/midrange driver and tweeter) bookshelf style speakers that fit in your budget and go from there.

G Man No sound card just got 9.2 channel reciver marrantz sr010 And amp two power extra two over head speakers :).

Just got this system for $579 at Costco (US). I’d say it’s worth that price but not $1k.
The sound just stops! That’s the only thing! Other than that everything else is fine. 9:03. 😀. I am not sure how is that an acceptable thing.
