This tour will definitely going to make some history in terms of attendance and revenue.
She will be the first artist to play 3 back to back nights at AT&T stadium in Texas. The venue allows for 100,000 seats per night. She was the first to play 2 nights in a row back during Reputation. After a 9 hour queue, the only tickets left were back row on the final night, thats where i'll be lol
They need to be realistic about the fact that ticketmaster completely failed. They knew how many presale codes were sent out. All traffic that was not associated with a presale code should have instantly been redirected. And lets not forget that they increased THEIR OWN ticket prices persistently throughout the sale. The presale was for 'verified fans' yet thousand of tickets are already on stubhub for unrealistic prices and thousands of really real actual human fans are left with nothing. If they wanted to avoid high traffic they should have made the t swift part of the site temporarily unavailable for everyone who DID NOT have a code, that way people with actual codes could have accessed the site properly.
i completely agree with you. i was stuck in the queue for over 3 hours and when i finally made it to purchase there was absolutely no tickets left. every section was greyed out = no tickets. it was overwhelming and so very disappointing.

shes gonna be 3 days at my venue and all that was left out 300,000 tickets was a couple back row seats on the final night.
That is what I'm saying. How is it people who didn't have codes get in. How is it that traffic wasn't redirected. It should have been only people who have access codes who can access the page. They knew the exact number of people who got codes.

The same thing happened with Seat Geek and they only serviced two venues! It’s absolutely ridiculous! Also, how do resale sites have tickets?! That’s now what verified fan is for!

Bots. Bots bought tickets faster than actual fans could and then owners of bots resold on stub hub. Also people sold their access codes to people who intended to buy tickets & resell for extremely high prices.
Scalpers are notorious for setting up multiple accounts to buy as many tickets (whether presale or general sale) as possible and then resell them. Or people on stubhub might just be posting fake tickets for sale because, as far as I know, stubhub doesn’t actually guarantee your purchase
Ticketmaster didn't crash, when it reached to about 2000 tickets it went to scalp mode and ditched the verified fans. The tickets started to show up on other sites under different names and ranging in prices from about $700 - 25,000 or more. The robo-scapler is actually Ticketmaster, and the other sites were Vividseats and Ticketnetwork (to name a few). You'll notice the sites are very similar in functionality and appearance.

It is their method of operation (M.O.), if the tickets are selling well, it'll ditch the regular buyers when it reaches about 2000 tickets (2000+ queue). TS gave out codes to prevent robo-scalping, but ended up exposing Ticketmaster as the robo-scalper. You can't buy tickets for her show without it.
I still can’t believe I got tickets… it was hard fought for. Good luck to everyone else who is still trying to get tickets.

stubhub is a scam in general. i dont know how reselling tickets like that is legal. people use bots then jack up the price. if you aren't going to use your ticket then you should have to return it at regular price so someone else can buy it at regular price who actually plans on going

I got tickets with my sister in law and I’m so excited! In the mad rush of trying to get tickets, she accidentally got VIP tickets, which is a happy accident!

I'm so happy I got VIP tickets for me and my sister! I really feel for the East coast fans who had to deal with all the shenanigans 💔 by the time it was time for the West coast to get tickets for the new time things went a lot more smoothly. Ticketmaster crashed for me when I was waiting for the original 9am time to get tickets for LA shows and it kept glitching to an error page then back to the waiting page with the timer countdown that said the next presale starts at 3pm. After waiting for over 5 hours after the new time was announced and waiting for over 5,455 people in front of me the line started moving quite fast and I managed to get the Karma is my boyfriend VIP tickets.
Lucky it went smoothly for you. But West Coast was a mess too. I waited 7 hours. and I didn't get a tickets because of error messages & crashing.

not only is ticketmaster crashing, but how is it acceptable to increase ticket prices as more people want them? I saw tickets go from $100 to $300 in less then 15 mins. And floor seats (even at the back of the stadium) are listed for over $1000 at this point. I would die to see Taylor live, but I can't spend more then my mortgage payments on tickets.

I had two tickets went to checkout waited and it crashed and I lost my tickets and my presale code , which to me was like taking candy from a baby😭 Good luck to anyone trying to get public sale, if it goes anything like presale. Bots will buy the vast majority. After loosing my tickets I went to sights selling tickets and the price's are just insane. Tickets that were listed for 49.00 on presale were being sold for over 400.00 on various ticket sights. I really wish they would do something about ticket scalping and put a limit's on them.
Same thing happened to me. It was so cruel. Finally someone else talking about the bots that bought a lot of tickets. And now it's reselling for thousands of dollars.

Tried to get tickets by verified presale w a code and got error code after error code when ready to buy after picking seats and it eventually kicked me out, tried to buy this afternoon in the capital one presale, got to the front of the line quickly and when it redirected me to pick seats low and behold another error and it eventually kicked me out, I got back in the queue, it was moving and now it’s not…so even though I should’ve had two fairly good chances of getting tickets, I’m not getting anything. Just super disappointed. And I’m not paying thousands of dollars for one seat like are you kidding me. The tickets I wanted were being sold for 200 and now on some sites they’re $1500-$4000. It’s outrageous

I think Taylor Swift is great! But I just checked Ticketmaster and I personally think $23,000 for a front row ticket (one front row ticket), is absolutely insane!! A normal ticket is still over $200!! How is that fair for her younger fans really??! Gone are the days when concert tickets were actually affordable for people, sad.
Tickets started at 49$. The higher ones are mostly resell tickets. Her highest for original ticket VIP front row is like 899

Just like the ridiculously overpriced Leppard Crue tour by Live Nation, the owners of Ticketmaster. This is even more ridiculous in what people will pay to see an artist. Not a Taylor Swift fan but didn't an wouldn't pay the huge ticket price for the Leppard Crue tour or anyone else for that matter. I still remember when concert tickets were under $10.

@@thesweetopia4826 her pricing was from $50-$500 very reasonable considering how famous she is. Ticketmaster and resellers are allowed to increase and sell hiked up prices for WAY over face value and we don’t have a way to stop them unfortunately. All the crazy tickets are from bits and scammers

@Sonny Bono Yes, but TM price gouges based on how many people are also looking at that seat, before any reselling even happens. TM also made lots of seats VIP (merch included) but they cost hundreds more than the seat right next to them without merch. (The merch isn’t worth hundreds of dollars). Then, when scalpers get a hold of the tickets, they relist them for insane prices. Very few people got seats for the listed face value price.

Taylor is a multi-millionaire who was outraged enough to use her voice and platform to chew out Spotify over artists not getting enough of a cut from streams (which is fine), but wasn’t outraged enough to call off her fans from sending death threats and racist hate to the Ginny and Georgia actress whom Taylor threw under the bus with a tweet defending herself. (NOT fine). Used to love her but I’m soooooo disillusioned. Wish she would speak out on things that affect people other than herself.

It’s disturbing that the person she chose to threaten w legal action was the one saying she should denounce the LITERAL HATE GROUP rather than the people OF that hate group claiming she shared their beliefs.
Despite my love of her as a creative entity, these incidents have recolored my opinion of her. As a result, she feels evil to me. I know she has a disarming/charming personality and she is definitely charismatic, but I feel like that causes people to look past things like these incidents, and that’s a problem. As a long time fan I’m very disheartened and disillusioned by this, but I can never look at her the same way again. 😭

I think it’s important that we band together as a fandom to hold our beloved Taylor accountable for some things that are of SERIOUS concern. She cannot control her fans but she can set the tone for her fan base and she can certainly use her platform in a responsible way. I have been harassed and gaslighted for expressing the opinion that the pattern of death threats in her fandom is something Taylor should speak on. This was a big news headline. Taylor was “feminist” enough to defend her own name (in the name of her very self-serving brand of feminism) but disappeared when attacks turned ugly and racist. That's not real feminism. I can't be convinced she and her team didn't know about this. It was a big news story and it took place as a direct result of her tweet defending herself. This was simply a dangerously irresponsible use of her platform.
Many Swifties will argue that that’s part of fame, but I feel like we need to stop normalizing this. And that STILL doesn’t mean she shouldn’t speak out. I believe she should do everything in her power to use her platform in a way that discourages hate. Not doing this is literally dangerous. Less importantly but still important, it also is not good optics.

The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) even released a statement chastising her team for attempting to suppress first-amendment-protected speech with their convoluted rhetoric. I am aware that in 2018 she denounced Tr*mp and addressed white supremacy. But this doesn’t change the fact that she remained silent on it for a long time, including the year leading up to Tr*mp’s election and the first two years of his presidency. And it certainly does not change the fact that her team tried to silence a blogger for making a reasonable speculation about her silence. (Silence in the face of violence means support for the oppressor.) I feel she should address the problematic white feminism of her past and discuss how she intends to embrace intersectional feminism in the future. For those who do not know what white feminism and intersectional feminism are, I encourage you to do your research.
One of its key tenets is that in order to be real, feminism needs to also encompass all of the aims of anti-racism and LGBTQIA+ activism.
Taylor’s “feminism” in the Ginny and Georgia incident, and truthfully, in general, is not only not intersectional, but it can better be defined as an act of self interest. It was “Taylor Swift Feminism”, which is not feminism at all.
This is all coming from a woman who as a 19 year old in 2011 went to see her on the Speak Now tour and cried tears of happiness when she came on stage. So it’s not like I don’t have my own attachment to her. But I’ve seen what I’ve seen and my principles are too strong to not take issue with these things. Wrong is wrong. We need to stop making defenses and living in the areas of gray, because racism and injustice proliferate in those gray areas.
I still love her as a creative entity, but I must admit that I’m not here for the character she has shown in these incidents. There are real victims of these behaviors who are being subjected to death threats (and in some cases even racially explicit death threats. She is someone who has claimed feminism and anti-racism as part of her brand, and we need to hold her to the bar that she has set.
There are other situations like the Ginny and Georgia incident. A music critic was threatened and her address was posted because she gave Folklore an 8/10 review. Fans did the same to Scooter Braun and his family. From what I can tell from my rather extensive research, Taylor did not speak about this. We cannot just wait until someone dies to hold her accountable. This is NOT OKAY. Taylor and her team need to show up better.
