They are super tight to get on. Check out the video starting at 4:20. We use bolts and washers to hold the seated bead portion in place, then we use a couple screwdrivers to slowly work the remaining part into place.

We like the Patagonia Mts. They hook up well everywhere we've taken them and they're easy on the pocketbook. They do require you to run them at a higher PSI and frequent tire rotations to keep them wearing decent.
