    That's not a man, it's another baby. Huge red flag in the relationship. If the woman knows about his complaints then she should reevaluate whether he's worth being with. It's only her job to raise the child she gave birth to, not her husband/boyfriend. Your lady is bringing life into the world through a very invasive, high risk, no room for mistakes, and possibly extremely painful process for God knows how many hours and all you can think about is yourself and your belly? Boy bye

    I agree with tam. The mother was pregnant for nine months and is giving BIRTH which can be fatal and is extremely painful and difficult, of course shes going to get the attention...the father should've been more concerned with helping his partner as much as possible, not himself. She's the one feeling all the extreme pain and doing all the work. The mother deserves the attention because shes the one at risk...the father should just focus on making the labor as comfortable as possible...for his partner and his baby. He's not the one feeling contractions, why cant he go and get water? Lmao

    As a birth doula I tend to give attention to both the mother & partner. I never ignore the partner at all. I try to include the partner in birthing process instead of only the mother, if interested, by encouraging (not forcing) to be next to her, give/get ice chips, fanning her, help in moving her to different birthing position & etc. I remind the partner (or any family member or friend with mother) to eat & drink because they’ll be there for awhile. Sometimes they would remind me to eat/drink water & offer me food which is nice, but I already packed some & always prepared to eat well beforehand. I believe in including both in birthing process. The fact that this father was just sitting for 12 hours is making me wonder why wasn’t he standing by her side helping instead of sitting & waiting to be offered water. It’s sad that some are narcissistic. I’m questioning if they had a birth doula like me would it have been different

    Sad thing is most people treat nurses like waitresses and then get pissed when things aren't done immediately or aren't don't quick enough for them... As a nurse I will say if you are ever in a hospital or needing medical care remember this... Your nurse when she comes in your room may look calm and collected but she is thinking of million things, she's assessing, she's planning, she's thinking 3 hours ahead and doing that for 6-8 patients for 8-12 hours a day. So please do not treat a hospital like a hotel, I'm sorry ma'am but Ive got a patient in respiratory distress, I've got a patient with their blood pressure in their boots, I've got someone who just fell, I've got someone with 10/10 pain, I've got physicians/lab techs/PSW's etc all wanting to talk to me about a patient... so I won't apologize for the fact that I was not here right away to fix your damn pillow (well actually I will to your face, but then I'll go home blasting rock music while I drive to let out frustrations lol)

    We had problems during the birth of our son. We stayed over night and my husband woke up 6 times for me to pee to walk me to the bathroom with my iv. When the C-section happened he was right there the whole time. After baby boy was here he woke up everytime he cried at night. He was a MVP!

    It's actually so sad that men always feel left out as the father. There are fathers who feel this way BUT also feel so sad that they can't do anything to help the pain BUT be there. But to think the mother of your child is in so much pain and you can't get a water? Where is her water? Lawd.

    Some guys can be so ignorant when it comes to being pregnant and delivery the baby. This man was being so disrespectful towards his wife. He’s extremely lucky that he doesn’t have to go through this process of birthing, the least he could do is not COMPLAIN LIKE A FREAKING BABY!

  • @amylassetter4078
    @amylassetter4078 5 лет назад +5

    Shame on that man! But, I will say that it doesn't even have anything to do with the fact that his wife is in labor. What it has everything to do with is the fact that this is a hospital NOT a restaurant, AND THE WIFE IS THE PATIENT, NOT THE HUSBAND! Of course the wife is going to get the attention and care for what she needs because she's technically going to be the paying customer. Doesn't even matter that she's pregnant because they would do the same thing if she was there for a cut leg or something like that. If you're not the patient, you don't receive the services case in point!

    I think we missed his point. I'm female and have been a birth partner four times. Obviously i did not feel like i was treated mediocre because i was supporting the mothers and i understood that. BUT i have gone through that experience thinking the men/husbands that go through this with their wives must go through alot emotionally. I think it was unfair to call him a narcissist because all he did was declare how he felt. Men birth partners go through a range of emotions and they should be allowed to talk about it, that is not saying that they are belittling the struggles of the mother in labour.
    I hope i make sense- let men be able to express themselves please.
    He was in labour with his wife an was ignored - He is relevant. Very relevant infact. It is the job of the medical staff to check everyone and anyone is ok.
    A first time dad especially should have been taking care off - and yes even offered water. He was going through an emotional experience and should have been supported.

    He wasn't breastfed before his wife went into labor. The nurses should've given him a 🍼 and a binky (pacifier). Nothing worse than an effeminate male craving attention. When my wife was in labor, I was more focused on her and the little body making its way out of her body; I didn't notice anything else😁
