That’s just so frightening. At the moment it is all happening you don’t know how serious it is and there is nothing worse than being away from home and being sick. What a relief to have him bounce back the same night. Whew. I’m glad he’s all better. The restaurant should have comped your meals.

It's recommended if suspected food poisoning from a restaurant, to contact the manager and inform them, that you were sick and if any other patrons also complain about being sick as well, It makes them aware that it's possible that food may be contaminated at their establishment.

Kids🤮 sometimes. Caleb has wonderful Dads who took care of him and handled the situation as smoothly as possible. But, something was “off” with your food that night. No doubt! Stinky seafood was the first clue. Love the Hawaii vlog series. Take care. 💕🌈
So Sorry for the bad experience. I'm glad Caleb was ok. Better to get it out his system. I've been to Morimoto in Disney Springs and I was not overly impressed so I have never gone back. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing. Food poisoning is nothing to ignore or laugh about. I had ordered a delivery seafood combo dish from a well known place. First bite had me questioning. Then bit into breaded clam, it was so rancid it felt like my mouth was being burnt by acid. I was I'll all rest of night.
Oh my goodness. The worst when the kiddos get sick like that but their tummies are more delicate when it comes to bad food. At least he got it up quickly with no lasting effects. A parent story we can all sympathize with. Glad it didn’t ruin your trip!

Rice is a really common cause of food poisoning, it could well have been that if all the dishes were off 😢 poor caleb, I'm glad he bounced back quickly!
This! I'm not a sushi person but often the rice can be just as bad a culprit.
Oh no! Poor Caleb! Glad he recovered quickly! We had a similar experience with our daughter when she was four at the Denny’s on Las Vegas Blvd. I still have PTSD from that breakfast and it has been 18 years.😂🤣

Yeah, the restaurant should have comped the meals at least. I worked in white table cloth restaurants for 20 years, 5 in the restaurant and 15 in corporate writing designing menus and recipes in the Csuite. In any of our restaurants if a little throws up, we comp all food.

Man, you guys had horrid luck all around. The honesty is great, though. You're not always gonna have a positive experience, so it's good to show that. Restaurants have off nights. Sorry it happened to you guys. We've gotten sick from fancier restaurants as well. It happens.

Could issue have been with the rice? You had rice with your sushi and Caleb with his pork? Maybe it was the rice that was off.
I know you don't want to revisit Morimoto but just wanted to say since Caleb enjoyed the ribs that the recipe in the Diseny 50th anniversary cookbook is spot on to those ribs and delicious at home. We've had positive experiences at the Morimoto in Orlando but understand not wanting to revisit a place your kid got sick. Glad Caleb is doing better!
It was the rice! Rice can actually be a common source of food poisoning if left out too long.

I hope you guys said something about the bad sushi to your server. You should get a refund. Also. Mike I hope you sent your burger back. I saw a small corner of your burger and it was black!!! That’s not right!!! Those dinners were probably not cheap. 😳. And last but not least… poor Caleb. Anyway I always enjoy your videos …the good and the bad. ❤

Honestly, there was probably something off with the rice. If your roll tasted off and he ate the pork belly with rice, that was it.
So glad Caleb was ok. And yes, how awful and scary. But I don't think your viewers would question you giving him pork belly, he is such a great adventurous eater. Still in awe of that as my 21 year old still lives on chicken nuggets.

I’m sorry your son got sick. I was under the impression that food poisoning will take several hours to manifest symptoms.
Bad rice makes for horrible food poisoning. I wonder if that’s what did it and not the pork belly. I hope he feels better now!

Someone may have said this too...but did he eat all that rice that came with his pork? Because bad rice can cause vomiting, and you both thought the sushi tasted bad...maybe it was their rice?
Morimoto Maui consistently gets poor reviews! Four Seasons lobby bar has fantastic sushi !
It was good that he threw up However never seems like a good thing at the tome.
