    $78 would absolutely be worth it if a warranty was offered. I understand why they don’t offer one, but maybe 1 free replacement per customer would go a long way to selling way more of these

    I have been watching your videos testing different screen protectors. I have seen a few. Since I usually do not drop my Phone much (14 Pro Max) and i am careful with it, I tend to worry more about the scratches. This Shellrus Sapphire Screen Protector is the best one I have seen you testing so far concerning Scratches (resisted until 9 with no scratches on that scale!!!) but it broke at 4 feet. The best drop test I have seen is from the ESR Armorite Glass Screen Protector: It broke at 8 feet but only resisted scratches in the 5 scale (on the 6 it scratches). But then I saw you testing the Benks Sapphire Coated Screen Protector. It broke at 6 feet and resisted scratches until 6 (scratched at 7). So, I went for the Benks that in my opinion (based in the tests I saw) its the Screen Protector that gets «the best of both worlds». I want to thank you for your videos and the tests you make. They are extremely useful helping us to decide what to buy according to our needs or the way we treat our phones. Again: THANK YOU. I wish you (and all who is reading this) a happy 2024.

    Wish it had better install tools, I mean cheap screen protectors now are including frames that include anti dust films that pull off excess dust before the protector adheres to the phone.

    Yeah nice protector and all but I’m not paying £75 for 1 when the screen protectors I get from ESR rarely ever get scratched anyhow and even if it does I got 3 to go at and all for £15. But my 14 pro max used 1 protector for the full year and it never got 1 scratch on it. So I’m guessing my 15 pro max will be good with my ESR armourite protector on

    Really love this screen protector but do you think it would work with a mouse limitless 5.0 case?

    • @EddNog
      @EddNog 8 месяцев назад +1

      I have a pretty large collection of iPhone 15 Pro Max cases already in my own collection (16 as of writing this response) including Mous Limitless 5.0 (with aramid back panel) and the Mous is one of the more screen protector-friendly ones in my collection (less screen overhang in the front than average). I would say it should fit fine. I did not yet get a chance to buy/test the Shellrus protector yet on this phone because I am holding off until I receive my Arc Pulse before ordering. I need to see how the Arc Pulse fits in comparison to my other cases before committing to the cost of the Shellrus protector. I can say that I had a collection of over 20 cases for my previous phone, an iPhone 13 Mini, and I didn't have a single case that did not fit with the Shellrus screen protector that I installed on that phone, although some of them did go right up to the edge of the protector. I did not get a chance to test the Arc Pulse with the Shellrus protector on my iPhone 13 Mini because Arc never had Pulse for 13 Mini in stock at any point during my ownership of the 13 Mini, however.
      Going back to iPhone 15 Pro Max, I think the least screen protector-friendly case that I already have in hand is probably the Spigen Magnetic Ultra Hybrid MagFit (in graphite), as the inner lip at the top of the front of the case come closest to the top edge (although the rest of it is fine) of my current screen protector (Flolab Onetime NanoArmour Ultra Clear Case Friendly) compared to the rest of the cases I have on hand. Other cases I have on hand that also leave a quite large gap between my Case Friendly screen protector and the front lip are Mous Clarity 2.0, Rhinoshield SolidSuit, Rhinoshield Mod NX, Rhinoshield Crashguard, Casetify Mirror Case MagSafe, Nomad Rugged, Nomad Sport, and Bare Armour. Since the Spigen case is the tightest fit, when I finally receive my Arc Pulse, I will test fit it to this phone and see where it stands in comparison to the protector I have on now, and if I feel the gap is okay, I will order the Shellrus as an upgrade. I loved the Shellrus on my 13 Mini, but I also really love the Arc Pulse as a concept, and would not be willing to sacrifice compatibility with it.

      @@EddNog thanks a lot for clearing this for me. I used to use spigen cases up until now but decided to get a rather protective case this time around. I had ordered an esr Amorite Screenguard but the black bezels on the side really made me not like it as I felt it was eating into a small region of the actual display. Anyways thanks once again and if possible do let me know if it fits once yours has arrived.

    • @EddNog
      @EddNog 8 месяцев назад

      @@carsforlife7743Sorry, I don’t have any first-hand experience with their screen protectors. I consider myself a huge clutz when it comes to installing these darn things and frankly the Flolab was the first one that I’ve ever managed to install without getting dust in there/ruining the protector (with my Shellrus in the 13 Mini, I messed up the first one, Shellrus was nice enough to send a replacement, and I then paid a phone repair shop $20 to install it for me). I would likely end up paying someone to install the Shellrus for me if I get one for this phone too, as I don’t consider their installation toolset to be very good (definitely not as good as Flolab’s). Looking at the EZ Fit kit from Spigen, it does look better than Shellrus’ install kit but not sure if it is as easy as Flolab’s Onetime.

    How reflective is the screen compared to the phone itself and also to a tempered glass protector? My understanding is that sapphire is much more reflactive than glass. How would grit (tvery fine sand and dirt) in a pocket affect the sapphire screen protector? Nice tests.

    These are cool but I’ll stick with FLOLAB because of their warranty. I’ve only scratched one of my screen protectors in the past few years but FLOLAB replaced it right away. Shellrus is more than twice the price and offers no warranty at all. Not worth it for the extra scratch protection.

    • @EddNog
      @EddNog 8 месяцев назад

      I screwed up the install of the sapphire protector on my last phone and Shellrus sent a replacement for free. I never broke my Shellrus so cannot speak to break replacement, but they provided great service for failed install. As far as scratch warranty, I never got a single scratch on my last Shellrus protector in over a year of use, including MANY trips to the beach (quartz, a component of sand, absolutely destroys tempered glass, and is a risk even to sapphire), whereas I can see this Flolab getting a scratch sooner or later that I am currently using on my 15 Pro Max (so far, none yet, but it’s only been a month!).

    • @louisroggio5850

      @@EddNog yes they do state that they will replace it one time for a failed install. But if it scratches or breaks there is no warranty. For a premium product with a premium price they don’t stand behind it and that’s enough for me to not give them my money.
